Question: When Ruyi was "recruited" to join the Scarlet Guards the second time as a white sparrow, how come no one from there recognized her, despite her previous high ranking and reputation as the former left envoy Ren Xin of the Scarlet Guards? I understand that she was believed to have died, but she didn't change her appearance, did she?
Knock on wood that everyone is paying their taxes!!!! My fav Lusi and Yuning in 1 drama as main leads. I have never been that excited! Loved their chemistry in TLB already, and anticipating this!
The first wuxia I am giving a solid 10/10 (and I have watched many).
The only thing I don't like in the story was in the beginning when Ruyi tried to force herself on Ning although he clearly didn't consent. To make it even worse, all the other male characters were questioning HIS decision instead of stopping HER (1000% there would a shitstorm if it was the reversed situation). Other than that, I absolutely love, apart from the interesting road movie concept and storyline:
1. The main couple communicating and talking about the future they're envisioning and what kind of relationship they want! Omg, no stupid couple misunderstandings! Very mature. 2. THE SQUAD 3. I have never seen a drama where the evil characters are just introduced, and before you can even start to hate them properly, they... died already🔪💀 hahahahah so uncomplicated! 4. The side characters are interesting and likeable, since they are well written. Love the character development as well. 5. Liu Shi Shi is the perfect Ren Ruyi. Even as a veteran actress, her micro expressions and expressive eyes never fail to amaze me💅 6. Gotta love a dominating, yet at the same time, vulnerable and innocent "assassin" FL hehehe (I'm SO fangirling Liu Shi Shi!💃 7. The chemistry among all characters (not only main couple), even the master + disciple relationship. It is understandable why the characters behave the way they behave based on their past and experiences. 8. Is it just me or why do I feel Ning is written by a woman? What a green flag in all ways😍 I absolutely love his respect and dedication towards Ruyi. 9. I have watched several of Alen Fang's dramas (both as ML and SML). Until now, I regarded him as a pretty face, but not outstanding in acting. However, this is the first time I can say he is shining in this comedic and playboy role as Shisan. Finally, he picked a suitable drama to showcase his skills. I hope he will get more great offers after this drama to show his potential! 10. Litong may be annoying for now, but he reminds me of an abandoned puppy, craving for attention and love. I hope he will get a character development (and therapy)🥹 11. The comedic scenes to balance out the drama. I died everytime the characters communicated with bird chirping🐦 and savage lines "When we talked about business, he stopped acting crazy"😂😂 12. The stylists did a great job with hair & makeup and the costumes and martial arts scenes are stunning! Liu Yuning looks so handsome in this drama! Not to mention the delightful cinematography. Every frame & shot feels like art✨ 13. The beautiful OST, both songs and instrumentals are outstanding. My favourite one is 半世风霜 (Half A Lifetime of Suffering) by 袁娅维TIA RAY.
Am I the only one who finds it hawt when Ruyi is "disciplining" Litong, like yelling him to kneel and grabbing his face? I'm like, in another parallel universe, they'd make a nice couple as well hehehe😏
The ice bathing scene was so romantic and awww. It showed Ning's warm and caring side 🥰
Shisan is my man to balance out the drama with his comedic and lighthearted scenes. The scriptwriters and director must have a good sense of humour to make him appear out of nowhere anywhere hahahaahha😂😂
Usually the last episodes of many shows disappoint me, but here, especially ep 35&36 were my personal highlight!!🎉
Shedded some tears about Jiu'er's heartbreaking and selfless words "I am just a passing moment. Don't stop in your tracks forever because of this one moment. It's time to let go. I know your will always remember me. But you have to let me go. "😭😭😭

The marriage proposal scene was upsetting cuz it felt like LBY, the emperor and her parents were taking away all the decisions from CSS while putting her on the spot. However, it was some kind of a nice twist in the end when she made her own decision to accept it or not. Also, LBY noticed that CSS mainly decided to accept the proposal for her parents. She still has to develop actual feelings for him
Imo, the final fight against YWY was unsatisfying cuz dude didn't get the bitch slaps he deserved 😤 🖐
Also, the fact that Lanxi always finds an alternative to save BFX, I was like, why couldn't you save other people then, like our beloved.. you know who I mean😭😭😭 Yang Yang's and Lu Si's emotional delivery was world class!!😭 I'll just believe that they find some alternative for Lanxi later on, maybe discovering some other magical plant, doing some magical whoooosh whoooosh, some random stuff flying around in the air and TADAAAA, black ponytail Lanxi can live for long again hehe🤭 (considering they could reverse it in the novel)
"Let it bind to me for the rest of my life." Probs to the voice actor as well, this line is delivered so well and sounds super hot hehe🤭
Also, I know Lanxi is hot, but excuse you, Lady?? BFX looks absolutely stunning in the last episode😍😍😍
Anyway, this was the first drama that I followed with so much excitement, watching every trailer and reading every comment here. I absolutely love the engagement here after every new release!
