Everything up to ep 12 was perfect, then FL pissed me off, so i had to skip all the whiny scenes with her. Yes, i do understand she needs to sort out her emotions first before jumping into the next relationship, but there was no reason to lead Suye on and treat him that way. He always treated her nicely and despite his own traumas, he never projected his past relationship onto her. Shoutout to her friends that cleaned up her mess that could've been easily avoided with COMMUNICATION; and ofc to our mature and VERY patient doc.
Besides; she dated that walking red flag ex for 7 years - he mustve shown narcissistic signs much earlier on; it seems that on top of her weak personality, she was gaslit so much that she just endured and never stood up for herself in her past relationship. I rather blame the weak scriptwriting for this part, it would've been better if they showed more how much her past toxic relationship had impacted her that made her making all these bad decisions.
It was obvious that her ex would come back at some point to drive the plot, which makes me wonder if they are also going to make Suye's ex appear later on.
I'm watching this for Zhang Ling He and the other green flag hotel manager of the squad. If the actors weren't good looking, it seems there wouldnt be a reason for them to fall for each other, bc imo, FL and ML characters are poorly written, bland and boring (even though ML is a green flag).
So far, i have enjoyed this rather plot-driven drama; even with the weird coincidences and meetings (come on, they live in the same neighbourhood, their apartments are only a few meters apart, and never crossed each other before?? And suddenly they conveniently run into each other all the time?!😹
It seems some angst is created in the next eps. I just hope Xifan will heal and learns to communicate and treat Suye better! She owes him a genuine apology! I feel their relationship is currently too unbalanced since he is mostly the one who is giving.
PS: i loved the scene when she bitch slapped her ex with his roses, that scene was VERY satisfying😎 i hope karma will make him suffer some more, what a dumb and hypocritical mf!!!🤬👹

If I remember correctly, she won that mirror on their little date, and then they went to the lantern cave. The reason why this amnesia arc is so funny is bc in the novel, SYS thinks Mu Ranwu is the actual Mu Qingge, so he absolutely hates and fights her in this arc, and everybody keeps silent about that for Ran Ran's safety😂 don't worry too much, of all xianxia I've read/seen, I consider this amnesia arc not only the best written, but also necessary for Ran Ran to realise that SYS would fall for her again in any form and lifetime❣️ another hilarious thing is: Once this ferocious beast starts catching feelings again, he demands Ran Ran to "seduce him again" bc he wants to remember😹😹
The scene when SYS suddenly borrowed Ran Ran's powers to kick Wei Jiu's butt with "One wisp of Qi to break the universe!" was so random that it had me ded😹😹
On another note, I'm so excited about the amnesia arc bc for once, this arc is necessary to prove that SYS would fall in love MQG/Ran Ran anytime again. It was heartbreaking but also hilarious in the novel, so I wonder how they adapted it on screen. Only 10 more eps to go❣️😭😭
Idk why but i find it endearing when MQG's character traits awaken in Ran Ran and she becomes sassy and bossy around her "rebellious" disciple by making SYS speechless bcs he's too stunned to speak😂 i also love when she calls him "Xiao" Shui like in the past and he just goes along with it😍 only MQG/Ran Ran can tame this ice cold beast🐱😂

In order to protect SYS, MQG put that face and heart burning curse as a "distraction" right after she put the silencing spell on SYS, so that none of the other cultivators could find out that he's actually the demon's child, nor he himself can admit it to others. Now, according to the novel, what that face curse does is that it's kind of disfiguring SYS' "handsome" face, hence why she was scared of his face when she first met him as Ran Ran. One of the ways to break the curse is that the caster has to want to lift it. When Ran Ran and SYS had their chat over some tea, she genuinely wished to help him break the curse, which lifted it basically, without knowing of course, that she put the spell on him herself in her past life. Hope that brings some clarity!☺️
