There is no reason to point out his personal preference. He is not alone , there are many people like him who struggle to cross 4 to 5 episodes over the year.
On the other hand we didn’t have any problem in picking up Joy of life and Nirvana in fire ( though nirvana in fire gets a bit dragged by 30 episodes +). There are good writers who can do story telling and character development while keeping the viewers interested unlike the boring first few episodes of this drama.
I do hope someday I can cross 10 episode mark and see what is this about.

TBF we all know the cdrama patterns. Yet a little hope that things might take a good turn considering it is a sports drama and there are few recent dramas which had proven that sports drama doesn’t require angst, manipulation and the undesired love triangles.
First 9 episodes are top notch. The intensity and the punch it packs attains the peak when the past reveals in 10th ep beginning. From there it turns into political drama. The last three episodes are more about understanding who this great villain is, why he turned into a monster and how our hero make sure the monster and his army are handled. Eventually hero and team pays for their own sins and comes out clean.
I did crave for more action after the relentless action sequences and twists in 9 episodes. But I take what they offered in finals. They decided to give moral justice here rather than going brutal way. A good drama all around. Very happy that I watched this. Despite the little flaws I rate this highest for the phenomenal 9 episodes which kept me on edge of the seat. Just WOW.
I am not sure about personal interests, But coach Xiao’s personal preference to one player has been the reason everyone lost confidence and thus the downfall of Zhufeng. Now he is trying to bring down FL as well which clearly makes him a bad character at this episode.

The problem isn’t Kim marrying Paktra. But after marriage he still hangs on to his relationship with Mook trying to convince her that he still loves her after doing the revenge marriage. Yup, also our ML meets his childhood friend who ML will compete with in future episodes. So the long awaited enmity is established on screen. I hope they won’t bring the next tournament directly by the end episodes and instead keep the tournaments with other teams going around. That will be better than focusing on unnecessary love triangles. For now we can see that our FL is much closer to coach Xiao although our ML tries to keep them away…..

Our ML is upset but his friend explains how would FL know his feelings if he don’t tell her. Finally it’s time for their first competition and FL mom caught FL being a skate athlete. ML helps FL to escape from her mom.
EP 14: Zhufeng meets Feixiang. To surprise everyone FL wins the preliminaries beating Feixiang ace. But referee disqualifies FL saying she committed foul. Coach ML mom fights in secret with the referee, our ML and FL joins with new evidence. Still referees aren’t convinced, clearly they are biased. Now Lu bi bing the opponent ace herself confesses there was no foul and she says FL that she won’t beat her second time. Now the opponent ace meets with her friend from zhufeng in secret for dinner, trying to collect information about zhufeng new coaching methods and FL.
Why do I feel like second couple also will face love triangle jeez. Please DON’T. There are several better things to showcase in love than love triangle …

Today I rewatched it and still feels fresh. I did my search to find something alike but there is rarely anything comes close to the quality of this drama. The makers can be proud of themselves for delivering this gem.
