Finally two really good episodes. Wonder what made the writer to wait this long before getting into the actual story. I hope the innocent rich girl character wasn’t brought up just to consume our time with no good reason…. ML allowing his ex to sing doesn’t make sense. Especially when he knows the intention was only to frustrate FL.
33 eps are much like 16 equivalent eps in korean drama...
My concern is about content. The story is very simple and usual sports drama where our leads gonna see success after failures. I am afraid this plot can’t hold for long. That is why I hope the writer have something good enough in his bag for 33 long episodes.
Unless the writing gets better this drama might lose the limelight and lose viewers. The two new dramas which started recently earned good WOM ( To fly with you and Psychologist ).
Guess we are here for a childhood connection trope.. ML mother is so cautious of accidents on rink and FL mom ice skate career is destroyed by an accident on rink. So I can see they are already related. With FL friend having a childhood pic of ML, the childhood trope is inevitable.
Similarly I think Xiao Qing is the villain. I thought ML mom or ML ex skate partner might turn evil but both of them seems fair while Qing is the one poking her nose into everything and trying to act as a Cupid between FL and her brother to keep ML at bay.
Anyways, so far the drama is average. FL character is a nuisance. But still this drama works because of efforts ML&FL had put on their skate skills, ML character and ML mother’s coaching methods. Hope they really needed 33 episodes for this drama and can handle it without dragging / annoying us..
I’m on ep 15, Happy that rather than introducing a villain, they used the insecure/narrow mindset of ML and his inability to deduce situations as the real villain here. So far most of the issues are created by ML himself. I hope writer will mature the ML both by character and also by finance into a business man. Though I liked the approach to depict a simple life with difficulties and failure, I’d love to see them together in peace and struggle in business to find success.

Yes, the fighting is dull. But that alone isn’t a problem there. For instance let’s assume that I agree it is a very small fight between two groups. Then that will raise a question about the reason LQ need ZX to support him there ? Especially for that simple fight after every evil thing ZX had done ? We all know capital is under LQ and he can move troops as he wish. Though we try to cover a flaw with imaginary assumption, it will make another scene flawed. I am sorry if I am failing to explain you things. 😅. Basically what I mean is that writing is horrible still even though the conversation dialogues and pace was good in the final episodes.

Does that mean 3 or 4 odd soldiers constitute half of ZX men ? #) Does LQ really need ZX’s support to tackle QT in this street fight ?
If you try to equate one scene with the other, another scene will go out of place. That’s the beauty of this writing. It was never coherent in a sensible way. Then if you are convinced and happy about the drama, cheers. I respect others opinion.

Finally two episodes which are decent enough to write review. I sincerely thanks the drama team for giving me this unforeseen present for following this through the end 😜. Peace guys. It is done. Congratulations to the brave hearts who walked along by breaking your Fast forward button. We won this cruel war lol.
Finally the show delivered two episodes where I didn’t have to use fast forward button unlike the 20 previous episodes. Thanks to the show for that. The conversations were more on point unlike the earlier episodes where I had felt like many conversations were fillers or dragged unnecessary. The only conversations which didn’t impress me is the exchange between BN and ZX. This one should have happened long long back.
ZX character end isn’t satisfying. It was funny to see Li Qian, a man who came from the edge of death and Baoning, a woman who had her husband and family hurt repeatedly for all episodes were ready to put their faith on a wrong man again just like they did in several other episodes before and paid for it. Clearly they didn’t learn their lessons …
The show goes even worse and again proves that the writers aren’t in good mind by giving Baoning dialogues to describe ZX as a man of self righteousness and gentleman. I would have rather seen ZX being cornered and forced to release edict to his troops to support the war… Makes no sense to butter him up even at the final episode … Ewwww
It seems the production team were wise and already seen the outcome of this drama on the hands of this writing team. They clearly decided not to spend anything on this drama. The war scenes felt like street fights with a group of ten from each side hanging behind and let a man or two fight it out in the middle. I don’t blame the production team at all. But the writers could have at least come up with a reason like Li Qian has cornered them before the enemy could assemble his troops to avoid a big war. That would have made it all look reasonably good rather than the way they trolled themselves with dialogues like ZX lost half of his army…… and ZX and LQ needs each other if they need to win this big fight…….Ridiculous.
Coming back to giving a proper end to all characters, nobody who followed this comment section will be surprised by how rushed the ends are. Many people here discussed and predicted this long before by 20 ep itself that the unnecessary Gao arc and ZX arcs as filler gonna come back and haunt this drama. It certainly did.
RIP Rebirth. Starting from the title to the end of drama, it was all chaos.
Ep 32 there will be hints of what is coming. Ep 33 the issue arises and Ep 34 breakup confirm. Ep 38 - still the main couple is going through angst and misunderstandings. No OTP moments since breakup.
For sure it will be a happy ending. First half of this drama is good, second half is horrible, But since you are a fan you might be able to face it. Good luck.

The reason I said she cling on to SML more. That should end this unnecessary discussion started over a drama full of age old redundant cliches which I can’t really spend my time on.
At least if the plot was something innovative or writing was exemplary to keep us entertained I would have really ignored those things. But the show was dragged at places and annoying at other places. To make it worse, the second leads had more screen time ( except initial few ep and last 4 ep). other than OTP chemistry and the final swoon moments, there wasn’t much to brag. Anyways since you decided to discount all flaws as the requirement to move this drama plot, there isn’t any point in discussing further. Bye,

He can do such things with a single woman and not to someone else’s wife. It got even more creeped out when FL confessed him that she is in love with ML, he rushed to propose her making use of the momentary misunderstanding between main couple.
I am sure he is a stalker, because he is literally present wherever FL is, may it her food time in a hotel, busy time at work, leisure time at hometown, study time abroad…. Or even when she was at ML home…. Yes, he even had guts to visit another person’s home to visit his wife thinking there is no one to take care of her in simple fever.
What made me feel even worse is that FL never draw lines between her and SML, but she was able to push away ML several times. For instance you must have noticed that she had no problem discussing her personal / professional life with SML, but she doesn’t trust ML to share any details of her personal or professional life. This drama is weird and flawed in different levels when it comes to second leads. Yet you call Second lead funny mhmm. Nice,

Clingy I say because she trusts and hangs onto SML more than ML. She gave enough space for SML to confess his love and even she took time to decide between ML and FL despite her new found crush over ML. That clearly means they aren’t just business partners.
Even worse, every time ML tries to get closer to FL or clear a misunderstanding, we will see SML occupying FL to make things worse. He acts like a good guy but never once would allow FL to talk things out and resolve things with ML which means he isn’t a joker who make fun around but a selfish guy who is stalking FL around to covet her,
If SFL is evil, SML is a stalker and obsessive glue sticked to FL. I am glad you found him funny to watch but many of us got frustrated that we had to skip through all his scenes to have some calmness.
