Nothing new but hey its Joo Ji Hoon and the thriller part excites me. My only concern is Bae Doo Na's little screen time. Hopefully next season she will have more screen time, Finished everything in 1 sitting, liked it 8.5/10 for me.
There is nothing much in the story. A guy and a girl who likes each other splash with a little bit of trial then reconciliation and realizations happened and it ends. The ending is sweet, I mean the after credits. And the girl is cute and lacks in the acting department. 6/10
I'm about to try to watch this as well and am also fearing the drag. A lot of series with over 40 episodes makes…
Its not that good, the ratings is just a bit high for this drama though I must admit the quality (acting, cinematography, costumes) is great but I just dont like where the story is going and as Ive stated in my first comment above, the schemes becomes redundant. I dropped this already btw. I dont have the energy to continue when none of the characters is encouraging me.
Just an okay drama. Nothing spectacular, though I commend Jang Nara's acting and the charisma of Jang Ki Yong. The sweet moments of the second male lead and the female character is the reason I have finished this, of course not to forget the funny moments of their friendship but other than that, the story fails to capture what needs to be incorporated in the drama, it lacks depth and felt shallow. I thought the life lessons here as some commenters were talking below is as depth as the drama Because This Is My First Life but it wasn't. I admit, I started this drama expecting it will be as good as BTIMFL but as they say, too much expectation hurts, lol. There's the abrupt change (an almost sudden change of heart) and poor character development of the main leads. Also there was little to zero chemistry between the main leads. Son Ho Joon isn't working it, and he needs to improve his acting if he wants to continue acting as the main character in a drama. The ending is a bit good but still not worth the eyebags.
Can you spoil the ending to me? I'm a sucker for happy endings, I hate dramas with sad and unsatisfying endings.
The romance is the usual first-love thing, I will move heaven and earth for you type of drama, lol. Each has their own love story. I believe you want to start this drama but just too lazy to open the internet and watch a few episodes. Just try it. I tell you, you will like it, I have seen so many dramas and despite the ending that has left everyone hanging, you will still rate this higher than most of the dramas you've seen. If you're still hesitant, you can ask me for any recommendation :)
I'm on episode 36, and actually I'm getting tired of this drama. I like the story of Fuheng and WYL but the f*ck about the emperor. I have fastforwarded so many scenes and just focused on their love story and some side stories but anyone here can tell me if its still worth the eye bags? I really find all the schees becoming so redundant and boring that WYL has always gone way out through everything, though I am rooting for her, nonetheless, I cant find any more strength to continue watching after that heartbreak.

It diddn't have an ending, lol. The drama, even after 75 episodes is just hitting its climax towards the final scenes. The audience were left hanging. That's how great the drama is. Its so good that people kept wanting more despite having watched 70+ episodes. And when you really look at it, there's just so many stories to tell with this drama (there are the leads, three different stories that's somehow someway connected) so a 70+ episodes is really short for this one. The ending is really open for a second season, though I doubt they will make one. Nevertheless, the ending isn't sad at all. Just that you will really wish far more.
Okay I'm currently at EP 15. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME SOME THINGS?! HELP A CONFUSED BROTHER OUT PLS!1)…
1. He found it yes, and he said he looked everywhere for it. He didn't said he made it lol 2. It was an accident. Yan Xi didn't caused it. Grandma was the last one to turn the gas on. 3. Yes 4. Perhaps Mr. Kong didn't believed in them that's why. Don't delve in it so much, this is just a drama honey :)
this series, despite the open ending, is a great drama. I never regretted watching it. Theres just so many elements that I liked in this drama - fantasy, power, war, actions, emotions, drama, secrets, politics, love, first love, friendship, hwaah that many. Its kind of slow and feels like didn't hit the climax but overall its a masterpiece, only if the budget was carefully analyzed before they went overboard. But I highly recommend this drama especially for Shawn Dou's fans.
