I know what dramas to watch just by reading the synopsis, I know if it will interest me and if its going to be a good drama but that usually is exclusive for Korean and Japanese dramas and movies. For Chinese dramas, I look at both synopsis and actors playing. I rarely score a drama below 7 but thats because I have a hunch of what good dramas to watch for. Its only during dry times that I tend to pick not so good dramas (beacause theres nothing good to watch atm) and I end up dropping dramas even though I have gone through 20-40 episodes of watching (Yanxi Palce, I dropped it after 40 episodes, Bloody Romance at 20 episodes, Jumong at 51 episodes, Something in the Rain at ep.5, I even dropped Descendants of the Sun and didnt bother re-watching it again). I think Tiger and Dragon and Flower Boy Next Door are the very first dramas I dropped. I usually look at episode 1 this day and if it really cant caught my interest, I just tagged it as "Not Interested". I feel bad to tag a drama as "Dropped" especially if I didn't even gave it a chance, ample time to be able to judge it.
I don't drop I just skip mid episodes and go to the finale since some are 2 predictable.
Thats cheating, lol. I know some people doing this but what I disliked most are some people dont even bother go through everything and then scored it lowest. Maybe its just me but I took rating s drama a bit seriously hence I dont bother to skip and just watch what happens at the end (the finale episode) if I dont like a drama. I just dropped it or put in in my waiting list. I fastforwad scenes if I dont like it but whenever I start doing this, I knew that this drama isn't for me and that I will be dropping this soon.
This drama might be a Best for new cdrama watchers, good for for those who have not watched other same themed dramas, better for those who have yet come across with great cdramas but a bit boring and expected for those who have watched plenty of those. I tried it but t he drama is the same old plot like (Princess Agent, Legend of Fuyao, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom, Ashes of Love) wherein it all start as the both main leads being loving, having great relationship then went sour because of a misunderstanding, then the female lead gets angry with the male lead, so angry that she wants revenge but later you already know what happens, misunderstanding gets clear but...the ending of these dramas are what separates them apart, some ends with cliffhanger, some happy ending, some with disaster). I may end up dropping this at ep25.
Idk why JSY keeps getting acting gigs and on top of that leading star in dramas. She's young but look at her specs and profile, and to think she ain't improving. This drama really would feel so much better if they have casted a new leading lady (they have already worked together before so why bother casting her again, do PDs can't see that they don't even have an ounce of chemistry? And JSY's ace always looks confused, idk.
Is Nirvana in Fire 2 better than the first one? I've been trying to finish NiF for three years now. I can't seem…
haha same, its 2 years for me and still haven't finished that drama. Been trying to give it another shot last week but after watching 2 episodes Im exhausted. Now I'm stuck at ep30. I dont know if I will still pick it up. I started NIF2 but still no good for me. Even though I like Huang Xiao Ming, I cant relate with Liu Haoran although many seems to find his acting great. Its just me I guess.
Among the drama's you mentioned above, I would rank it like this: 1. Sky Castle (It was a great drama though I didn't quite like the lesson it throws at the end, but still you cannot deny how strong the drama is) 2. Legend of Fuyao (I watched it thoroughly because I like Yang Mi) 3. Ashes of Love (It was soo good at the beginning, come middle and towards the end, it gets draggy and boring and I end up fast forwarding eps) 4.Mr. Sunshine (I am only interested with the Japanese guy and the 3 men's friendship and banter, fast forwarded so many scenes but at least I have finished it) 5. What's Wrong Secretary Kim (I can only finish it because my sister likes it, otherwise I have dropped it) 6.Story of Yanxi Palace (dropped after ep.40, the scenes and troubles become so redundant) 7.Meteor Garden (couldn't finished it, fast forwarded too many times, its to fluffly and cheesy) I couldn't get passed a few episodes of Ever Night (I have a problem with the main leads) and Nirvana on Fire 2 (I don't like Liu Haoran here, idk)
Can you further explain what do you mean? I have watched episode 1 of this and I admit I felt like "ehhh" when I watched it, It felt dry and something felt forced. Maybe I have watched so many Jdramas with same angst thats why I can't come into terms with these type of plot. But I am willing to give it another shot once the whole story ended for me binge watch later.
A unique take to time travel. Just when I thought I have seen so much. But then, its one of the genre's I love. Who doesn't have anything they regretted and want to redo things and turn back time? I guess most have. Great start, craving for more episodes.
What are you saying...? I don't think you watched the right drama... Lol maybe you are confused
Its all over and confusing af, and I'm not the only one who felt that way, try to read other comments above and below. You must have high IQ, lol anyways lets hope the coming episodes will be better and hope a rise in ratings!
Its confusing and the first episode feels 2 hours even though it barely touches 1 hour. This kind of plot is a hit or miss and I can see where its leading. The cg effect is not that great also. Its just hard to pull a story like this one especially in a modern-day drama set up. There's just too much details with this kind of drama that its better to have this in a historical setup with 50+ episodes. I'm afraid this drama will disappoint then it will take few more years before Joo Ji Hoon's next drama (he rarely makes). I really want to continue watching because of Joo Ji Hoon but Jin Si Yeon is there, why should it be her?
Yes, go watch it. Soo Ae and Joo Ji Hoon has great chemistry in here and the story is thrilling and intersting.…
Great that you liked it. It may not be the best out there but its definitely worth the time. Or perhaps I'm just a fan of both actors. I really liked Soa Ae and Joo Ji Hoon together.
Yes, go watch it. Soo Ae and Joo Ji Hoon has great chemistry in here and the story is thrilling and intersting. The two leads is worth the watch. Don't mind the negative comments below. Its a popular drama + the fact that it has quite a stirring plot so its bound to have mixed reactions.
The girl is pretty lucky, Yosuke and Ryusei as his leading men. I like Ryusei in Hajimete Koi o Shita Hi ni Yomu but Yosuke is just irresistible adding the fact that he is much taller, lol. Can't wait for this :)
I am okay with Lee Honey.
