just finished the previous season, now starting this one! so disappointed Cha Soo Ho and Stella aren't in this…
Yes, you will miss Lee Yi Kyung but definitely, you will enjoy season 2 as much as season 1. Season 2 is way better especially the way cases are connected. Season 2 lost few original members, but they have gained No Min Woo, they have gained more tbh. Anyways enjoy!
i feel like neither of the leads suit their characters, they're just so awkward and unconvincing and i can't tell…
I am having so much 2nd thoughts on watching this. Heard so many good reviews on the first 2 episodes but but...I don't really see Yeo Jin Goo fitting for the role, idk. I'm fine with IU but how I really wish they have chosen another actor for the male lead role. There is something odd I find on YJG, and sometimes he overacts and overuse his big eye shock acting plus he's still so young to play so many lead roles. He seems like a high schooler at all.
It may not capture the same feelings compared to the original version, still, the movie made me again for the second time, feel bitter with the ending. Plus the main actress is a rookie actress and doesn't know how to convey proper emotions with her acting. They should have casted someone with more experience and a bit mature. She looks so young to be with Yamada Yuki. Verdict: The Taiwanese version is far better than this.
Hello, can someone care to explain why did Nakama Yukie appear in this drama as a supporting role? I mean, ain't she a big actress enough to lead a drama? Thanks
It was so obvious since the scene inside the container, the scene with him and his mom on the bed. He even gave…
@ episode 23-24 is such a twist. They are now making him move, stain his hands, and be a real bad guy. Though I don't believe that he killed his mom, there must be so much more into it. Can't wait for next week!
So is it now official that Min Woo is the bad guy?
No, at least not yet, he hasn't done anything so far other than cleaning a mess. And I don't think writers will go as far as to make him a killer, but who knows. He's role is is the highlight of the drama for me though, without him, this drama wouldn't stand out.
Yeah, I noticed that too and it often happens in Japan that an A list actor/actress will play supporting roles.…
I don't think its because of popularity, Eita, Tsumabuki Satoshi, Euno Juri, Keiko, Oguri Shun for example are all popular and big stars yet they sometimes star as supporting role whether in drama or movie. I don't know why they would cast big name stars as supporting and why would these stars accept it, haha. I guess, its just the way it is esp. in Japan. Also, maybe because compare to the other 2 counties mentioned, Japan has lesser number of actress/actors to offer for the role.
No Min Woo is making Dr. K's character so interesting. He is nailing the handsome-cold-psycho vibe. I'm loving this drama even more because of him. I'm really glad he took this role. He suits this kind of role, hoping he will pick up more projects in the future.
This is one of the few dramas out there that went all out with the story (from school-to college-parting-work-meeting again-conflict-then settled with an ending). They have it phased by phased and unlike most dramas wherein conflict ended way too early - most theres like 10 episodes left and conflict ended and they have to fill it up with so many sweet lovey dovey moments, not that it ain't great, but too much sweet can cause diabetes, eeks! This drama has conflict going on that will make you still watch it until the end even though it gets tiring and cliche. I have two main problems with this drama though, the main actress' acting, and the execution of scenes and the way director cue's and cut scenes like you are still absorbing the scene and then baam, cut! If I disliked long pauses of most dramas I watched, then its the polar opposite here and to think most of those sudden cuts are the main leads. And the ending was a bit abrupt. In Love de Foudre, there were too many episodes for me, but in Wait My Youth, they lack the right length. But I still stick out despite the bad acting and poor execution. The male lead's suits the bad boy yet a soft boyfriend type. He has a screen presence (though him and the female lead dont have that ump chemistry) and definitely one of the reason why I finished the drama aside from the story, yes the story. I love the premise of girl likes another guy and the guy likes the girl a little too late hence, the bestfriend has taken over - I have always been waiting for this kind of story. 8-8.5/10 for me
Let me put this on my viewing list. Hope it is on par with le coup and put your head :)
Le Coup de Foudre is > than the 2 dramas. But between Wait My Youth and Put Your Head, it all depends on your taste. Only if the leads of this show especially the main actress acted well, then I can confidently say that this one is better than PUH. Guess if its just between the leads, its PUH > WMY. Haha I dont know if I make sense, lol Anyways enjoy!
to be very honest, this drama hits all the right button. I have never seen such drama that has a slow-homey tone yet they delivered it beautifully. First love, family, sibings relationship, friendship - they have it. I was much more drowned to the family relationship of the female lead. The delivery and story made them so relatable that sometimes, I feel like I'm watching my own life with them. I'm a sucker of "past to present" dramas especially dramas that is set up 90's to 2000s, nothing is ever sweeter than going back to the young you right? Being in school again, having classmates, crushes, the environment, the feels. And these drama made me feel it AGAIN. It was like showing me reflections and making me realize a lot of things - things that sadly, I ignored before. Just one thing, I wish they didn't drag the drama though. The drama dragged 10episodes towards the end. That no matter how much you loved a drama at the start, you will end up getting tired watching it if what they're showing is redundancy and predictable problems and sweet moments . Thats a problem if the producer tries so hard to stretch a drama, it loses its over-all quality. I believe they could have cut the number of episodes and focused more on the reunion of the two leads. I feel like watching a new drama in the last 10 episodes. But hey! over-all I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the first 20 episodes so much and since they made me cry a bucket (exaggerated) in some episodes (which rarely happens), then this drama made among my top list. 9/10 for me
The drama was nice, cute, fluffy, easy to watch. I actually liked it until ep.15. It was still okay onwards but I don't quite like it if a drama has no story going on, no conflict, lol I watch a drama because I want drama haha. Didn't liked Fu Pei and his GF love story. Actually, I skipped so many parts while watching this and just focused on the main couple. Honestly, if the skip button was not invented, I would've dropped this for its cheesiness and full of talks, thank goodness the male lead is handsome and the female lead knows how to act. The rating of 8.9 is too much but I can tell why many will score this higher. Overall, When We Were Young is soo much better than this. 8-8.5/10 for me
I loved this drama. One of my earlier Japanese dramas and one of those dramas that contributed to why I love Japanese dramas until now. I remember among those I watched before, this one was one of the most mature and intense. But even so, I truly loved it partly because of the leads. I liked Nagasawa Masami in Proposal Daisakusen (my all time fave JDrama) and Eita being that chic-handsome guy. This drama is a must watch for everyone.
I have watched the first episode, the story isn't bad and is watchable but the leads disappoint hence I won't continue watching this. The acting is forced, clearly forced and seriously, the guy can't act rough without me cringing while watching him and the girl doesn't have an ounce of charm. The cast is mehh to the 3rd level. Nothing exciting here.
It was good. Wish they show a scene where Mitsuki introduced Aya to the 4 boys, that would have been an epic scene with Ryuji being too over-protected with Aya, lol.
I was having a bit of second lead syndrome. haha btw, Koseki Yuta looks like I.M of Monsta x with a taller nose mixed with Lee So Hyuk
Its good, can be a bit confusing and hard to comprehend at times and there's more narrative than action going on in the first part of the movie, but over-all I enjoyed it. I watched this right before I watched Avengers Endgame just to kill my time waiting for my cinema schedule, lol. 7.5/10
This means that your taste is odd, the best C-Drama of All Time for me
You don't need to single me out by saying that my taste is "odd" just because I didn't enjoyed this drama. If for you, this is the best, I can't help it. But not everyone will agree on that. My opinion above has comparison between two dramas (which I watched almost at the same time), I did not just merely said I disliked it for no reason at all. I have been watching Asian dramas (Korean, Jap, Chinese, Taiwanese, et al) for years now, and I can say that there are better and greater dramas than this.
They both are dubbed but their original voice and line deliver are super. You can check the BTS, especially CXX,…
Really? Caause I may believe that CXX's voice is dubbed but for PXR, the voice really suits her and I can't find an ounce of trace of her voice being dubbed.
Plus the main actress is a rookie actress and doesn't know how to convey proper emotions with her acting. They should have casted someone with more experience and a bit mature. She looks so young to be with Yamada Yuki.
