At times, this show felt like it was written with AI. Started strong and slowly but surely went downhill for me.

Truly. Feels like they needed enough material to fill out 12 episodes.

This is another issue. Why was ML hitting on her out of nowhere? Once again, the drama is trying to show how he is “slowly” falling in love with FL but due to lack of chemistry between the two it looks unbelievable. But this is just my opinion. I am happy for you if you are enjoying the show more than I do.

I have seen her in Second Shot at Love and I liked her more there. I have also seen her in Run On and she was okay there too. Maybe this role is indeed not what she needed.

The drama did its best to show how big of a fan she is in terms of storytelling. I can see that. My issue is with her acting. I see it but I don’t feel it. I have seen her in other dramas and she’s not a bad actress, but this drama is not it. Something is definitely off for me.

I do not believe FL is a “huge fan” because nothing seems to phase her, especially random physical contact initiated by him. I understand she has to stay professional, but in her private moments we should see her go legitimately insane from excitement. At least this is how I think a “huge fan” would behave realistically.

100% agree. 0 chemistry between the ml/fl. watching for the mistery so far.

Check out Study Group, it is more action heavy with comedic elements, but has all other korean school experience drama elements.

I really wanted to love this drama. So far it is okay, but I don’t feel ANY chemistry between the leads.

Idk if you’ve seen “Her Private Life,” but FL is also a kpop stan there. Is FL of Idol I more obsessive?

Can someone describe the tone of this drama? Is it very dark?

Just finished Dynamite Kiss. The ending was meh, but the chemistry between the leads is bomb. Was thinking of starting this drama next. Is it worth it? if not, what should I watch next?

Thanks all for your responses. I have finally finished this drama. I do have to admit, it was a tad bit slow for my taste, but as I expected, such low rating was unwarranted.


This is a very nicely written, mature slice of life drama with great first, second, and third character arcs. It is full of love, tenderness, great friendships and family dynamics. It still has elements of drama, but nothing over the top. Overall, I found it to be very tasteful with great chemistry between the leads.


I assume, a lot of the outrage comes from the fact that this was Song Hye Kyo's first drama after her scandalous divorce and people were eager to hate on her. But I think, if you enjoy slice of life, this drama deserves a chance.


I would rate it at least 7,5 or even 8 stars.

Between Dynamite Kiss episodes, decided to give this a chance despite low ratings. 4 episodes in, this is pretty normal slice-of-life drama, nothing over the top, but does not warrant 6.8 rating. Curious to see how bad it gets down the line.

These series collected all the k-drama tropes possible. Haven't enjoyed a romantic drama in a while. All of the recent ones are the same. Plus, there's no chemistry between leads in this one.

I want to like this drama, but the story is a bit choppy and I don't feel any chemistry between the leads. I hope it gets better.

I think she can only plan to a degree. To her classmate who killed her father she said that even in prison he is now free of the shackles of his old life. So, she did her preparation to a degree and even if things got really bad, she still would be better off than with her father alive. Also, she constantly mentions that she’s extremely lucky (like during her jump out of the window), so she leaves some things to her luck. I think it’s a combination of many factors. But maybe I am wrong and we will learn something in the next episodes. Let’s see.

I’d say it was a happy coincidence. There were two back up men (one planned and one not) who would likely take the blame.
