I still think she's a bigamist, so he will need a divorce. And if he still is the husband under Korean law, he might also legally be the father of the second child. He's got some leverage there for divorce negotiations.

Does anyone know how centralized and digital marriage registrations are in South Korea? Everybody has an ID number in Korea, at least in KDramas. If you try to register a marriage do they check your ID and do a look up whether you're on any other registration?

It wasn't a bad episode today. It moved the ball. I know a lot you have been bashing KS, but there are enough toxic males in the drama. MR's father is really the only other nice male, so it's not surprising she's picked KS.

The other thing, what is SJ's end game. Yes, she's playing all these games now to get a donor for her second daughter,…
I'm just speculating. I can't understand why she would care for one child but not the other. This way she doesn't care for either just the money.

She got the house in the will. She gets a stipend from the trust until the second daughter reaches 18. She sold the house to finance this Korea trip.

@Sher1264, like you I think she remarried, but I'm less sure about what that means. I would normally think that, if a married person marries another, it's the second marriage which is invalid. One of the parties to the second marriage didn't meet the requirements for a valid marriage. It's perplexing, JS is taking JD around for a medical procedures and offering JD up to the Doctor as a donor and the doctor and hospital are treating her like she's the custodial parent. On the other hand, she's acting like she needs to get back together with KS to get permission for the surgery to obtain JD's bone marrow.

The other thing, I really don't get, is why would she be so fixated on the health and survival of one daughter and be willing to risk the health of the other to obtain it. We all seem to agree she has no maternal feelings for JD -- the actress is playing SJ's part like she's a sociopath -- how can she be a loving mother to her second daughter.

Maybe, all her U.S. husband's wealth is in a trust for her second daughter, and the second daughter has to reach the age of 18 before she can access it. If the second daughter dies, the trust all goes to charity.

Wow. SJ told JD that she was sponsoring a little girl and when she had her health check up, she requested a compatibility…
The other thing, what is SJ's end game. Yes, she's playing all these games now to get a donor for her second daughter, but what does she do after that? There's no way she can get back together and integrate the family, assuming the second daughter's father is no longer in the picture. Is the father of the second daughter still alive and her mission is to go to Korea, get the bone marrow donor, and return to the U.S. and the father? How are the writers going to tie any of this up at the rate they are progressing. Are we in for another time skip where everything is resolved, but it's never explained how it's resolved.

JD is so dumb. I know they need it to move the plot forward, but they are making her dumb beyond believability. This drama really should have been named "Waiting for Something to Happen". I feel like we're back waiting for the side girl to be discovered. Things have to break out in the open by the end of the week, but at this rate I don't know. There's an English novel called "Tristram Shandy", which is purportedly an autobiography of the title character. It's a long book, at least 700 pages, and in narrating his life he doesn't even get to his birth. At this rate, we aren't even getting to a divorce, let alone a marriage.

I really liked the first 10 episodes of TRHC too. Thought it was going to be something different and fun.

You have to keep it in context. If the real has come wasn't such a shitshow right now I wouldn't care. But right now this is the only game in town for me.

yep another daughter called Jaeni
You all called it right. I was sure it was a boy. When the doctor said she was too young I thought she was referring to Jan d. The only question for me now is how old is the second child.

Maybe for the domestic audience just having JH appear on screen in any of the last 20 episodes has been enough to have everyone on the floor rolling with laughter. It's a comedy and we're just not getting it because of cultural and linguistic translations. I never really liked the English version of the "Office", the humor was just too sadistic for me, but it was a tremendously popular series in Great Britain.

another ep of stalling. so everything happens in the last week and will be rushed as hell. Commented earlier how…
MR, JH, and his side girl were interminable and it ended up being a nothing burger. One threat from big Dong and the side girl was gone. No fun at all. I also liked the Ye Jin character until she started crushing on JH, then she also got a lobotomy. This makes me think maybe the writers have forced the wrong characters together. I'm going to make my take on the pairing that should have been.

I'll start with the first couple because they have had the best screen chemistry. I vote for Ji Soo and SS as the best potential couple.

The second best pairing, and I'm not suggesting GL, I just have always felt that they would compliment themselves as friends, MR and Ye Jin were made to be best friends.

Third, as much as many have commented on how much they hate HR, I've always thought she would worship KS for just being the nice, cute man that he is, and she would be happy to support him and be his sugar mama for life. I also think SJ would have met her match in HR.

JH would have been fine with his side girl, but I think SJ is also temperamentally suited and if she has enough money even big Dong would be on board.

CR is kind of a cypher. I think she's never experienced romantic love in her life. It's why she could consider marrying big Dong for the good of the family when he is so unattractive in personality and person. I saw a lot of comments suggesting her and the baker/MR's biological father as good pair, I'll go with that.

Auntie DingDong and SD would do okay together. I think Auntie could handle him and he's not going to get anyone better himself.

I think JunPyo is better off with one of the other girls in his class, I've never understood what he see's in JanDi.

How about MR's brother with JH's side girl?

I think the chairman, MaHD, and JanDi are better off with no one.

We still have the elephant in the room for me: two children now and still no fathers. And we don't know much about KS's mother. We should get at least one good reveal out of this.

I'm kinda of going the other direction. I've given up on TRHC. There's only 3 more episodes, so I'll read the comments to see how it ends. I still have some hope for AOME, if nothing else, because there still some humor left. Auntie DingDon, Fighting!

JH may have started the process for establishing paternity, but he's never been legally recognized as the father.…
Unfortunately it isn't only for the mother to decide. And as a perfect example, this drama shows how a man can use paternity as a legal weapon to abuse a woman. That's my point with the rapist. I think the plot in this drama shows JH is only using his claims of paternity as a method of control over a woman who has no interest in him sexually or otherwise. At this point I think there is plenty of evidence to deny JH even visitation rights. I actually think there's enough evidence for a restraining order preventing him from either seeing YD or HN. And that's all on him. It's not the legal system or YD preventing him from seeing the child, It's his own fragile sense of slighted masculinity that driving him to harass and trespass, and I use this in the legal sense. The man is a criminal.

Whats with people saying that JH kidnapped Haneul?? How can a father taking his own child be called kidnapping?…
JH may have started the process for establishing paternity, but he's never been legally recognized as the father. By your logic I can fill out a form claiming I'm the father of any random child in the street and immediately be granted parental rights over that child. There's a legal process and even if he establishes paternity that's not the same as custody. Among viewers, there are actually many who doubt JH is the father and would like to see a DNA test.

Even in the U.S., which I think would think has laws with better protection of women than Korea, rapists have established paternity through DNA tests and forced the victim into a relationship with them because the rapist is granted visitation rights for the child.

I'm with you. I've only seen the un-subbed YT clips. But if Sher's theory is correct (teddy bear?) and SJ has…
Nothing makes sense yet: why getting back together with KS is so important, why so focussed on JanDi as the donor. And now it's looking like she's willing to sacrifice the life of one child for the other. Any normal mother in this situation would eat humble pie and beg for her mother and siblings to be tested for compatibility instead of putting all her hopes on manipulating one potential donor. The choice right now is clever writers who have a big surprise for us, or stupid plot holes.
