He just says his lines and that's it. Jin Ki Joo is great but KDW's non-presence affects her chances to shine in this drama. I'm currently watching Through the Darkness and can't help but compare Kim Nam Gil's acting to KDW's. KDW is just going through the motions showing zero passion and his eyes don't convey his emotions and thoughts (unlike with KNG; that's the essence of good acting).

I have my opinion, you have yours. Have you seen him in Guest, You Are My Spring, etc. Don't think people whose opinion differs from yours are stupid.

She's already been shown to be a bad bitch in the first episodes. If she isn't the murderer herself, she was the instigator to the murders. She wrote the book about the murders saying she did them. The actress who plays her in the present time is always the villain in k-dramas.

Correct. Zero chemistry. The oddest confession scene ever.

I think so too. FL learned about her father's and uncle's tragic past, and ML will also get to understand his parents.

Yes, the confession scene was weird and awkward. It was embarrassing to watch. Mostly because ML came across as completely emotionless. I've liked KDW before, but in this drama his acting is minimalistic to put it nicely. I see zero passion or effort. They have a teacher student or father daughter relationship vibes more than real man - woman attraction.

the romance is very good. Love triangle. All the mains were delightfully good in this drama.

I came here to check if anyone else thought he's become quite expressionless. I think he's just giving his minimum standard performance in My Perfect Stranger, unfortunately.

Coming to Netflix June 17th! Yessss!!

Funny & sweet & entertaining drama. Found family is one of my favourite tropes. I didn't expect to like this so much. It's nothing very serious but not everything has to be. Cha Eun Woo slays in the role of MJ, he's totally a scene stealer here. Lee Se Young and Yoon Shi Yoon chemistry is great. Only the OST was unbearable, had to mute it down constantly.

Ga On and Soo Hyun is a slow burn romance with tragic ending

me too. really enjoying it

it had something to do with their distant personal relationship, if I remember correctly, not politics.

it's 1987, the dictatorship in SK is slowly ending. The secret service still has free hands to detain and torture democracy activists and students - who they label as commies. It's natural that the grandfather supports democracy activists. The Baek brothers' mom and older brother were massacred in the Gwangju uprising.

yes x 3

I suppose if we could see their eyes and faces it might be watchable. Those haircuts are sheer torture. I'm tempted to attack the tv screen with scissors.

by now, there should be a ban on bangs. Nobody looks good in that current hairstyle. Bowl cuts for men, also should be forbidden.

I really like this article. More like this!

Laugh out loud slapstick comedy. Really great, perfect in its own genre.
