That's just your assumption. I'm sure the actors prefer their work to see the light of day. Korean sponsors can't have anything against showing the works for Netflix's international audience.

Netflix has zero reasons for cancelling. All the western garbage trash they roll out and now they're so orthodox suddenly. This is so unfair for Lee Byung Hyun and Moon Jung Hee. And Ahn Eun Jin. Was so looking forward seeing these great actors in new works. I feel robbed tbh.

Jun Ji Hyun is fantastic, the writers are fantastic, the director is fantastic. Like a dream come true!

The moment we learned they are real brothers but don't know it, I understood this cannot have a happy ending. Going to be a tragic one. I feel it's better to know and tune expections accordingly. Just my hunch though, I could be wrong.

It's not that. People are criticizing the way they did not write it consciously as a romance between people having an age gap. Pretending the age gap doesn't exist doesn't really work here.

Don't kill me, because for me the drama is mediocre. It's nice, but not great. For me it's way too predictable, and I'm constantly skipping scenes. I'm looking for more intelligence and witty dialogues, and this drama is not it. The plot with rich parents using their power to influence schools and putting insane pressure on their children is way too common and overused. Maybe I prefer darker dramas, since to me the most interesting part is the family with the shut-in kid and his mother. Pls don't call me a hater and start dissing my taste. I try to tolerate everyone's views and expect the same.

SJK has a babyface though.

I feel the same way. It would have been better, if they'd consciously portrayed a younger man falling for an older woman. And not pretend there's no age gap. But realistically, she could not pass for a 35-40 year old and that's bothersome. She's a wonderful actress and this drama wouldn't be what it is without her.

I love Park Sung Woong's acting, but the heavy dialect here is a bit too much.

I had to drop at ep 4, this wasn't going anywhere. A lot of repetitive scenes. It may get better in the latter episodes, but not worth the waste of time regardless.

If I had to describe this drama with one word it would be "cosy". It's comfortable, and low key funny. Realistic, warm workplace drama.

I don't particularly like or dislike it. The realistic part is that it underlines the limitations on women's agency in Joseon ( or the other kingdoms). I think every genre has its cliches and tropes, in other words, cliches and tropes are what make up a genre. I can't think of a sageuk that didn't include palace politics, for instance. That for me is often the boring part.

drama is fiction, why should they be realistic. Cross-dressing is an easy way to create fun situations and suspense.

Yes, Min Seok's limited screentime is a disappointment. Agree that it'd be been better if the main plot advanced faster.

Yes, correct of course. Entirely, wrong place. Kim Min Jae is a big star though and in main roles. Taking a small support role at this stage is very unusual but he wants continuity for Dr. Romantic.

I'd like Oasis more if there were less of the extended fight scenes. The historical background is much more interesting to me. Would have liked to know more about the factory conditions in ep 6. But this is still good and worth watching.

Was there a song sung by PHS in ep 14? When he was having a fever?
