OMG she's 14. If this was a mature guy (18) kissing a 14 year old what do you think would happen. Everybody would need therapy immediately. Do I trust the director to have handled this well, no I don't. There's something off about the portrayal. I say it's programmatic, not organic. For me, I'm just fed up with the mandatory minority representation in every drama having had to watch it take over western dramas. I know more minority people in real life than anyone here but it's woke to call people homophobes. It'll take years for these kids to get sick of woke since k-drama is not all there yet.

Best to watch with zero expectations and just enjoy the ride. Intense drama, created its own world very well. I got immersed in it. That's the main thing. Illogicalities and plot holes are quite big, but that's part of the genre. And this is obviously not for sensitive people and the suspense can be too much a times. But I enjoyed it, although I'm not even a fan of the genre. 8/10

This an engaging suspenseful medical drama. Although I skipped a lot of the surgery scenes, I still would recommend this. Don't know why this has so few viewers, it's quite good. Well written, great actors. Incidentally, I watched the Defendant by the same writers at the same time as this. The Defendant is even better, but both are intelligently written and way above average dramas.

Sex scene. Lesbians. Programmatic. Western trash. Dropped.

I know. That's what the book I mentioned is about. Youth of May portrays chaebol families too which is not to my liking in this particular historical context.

I understand what you mean also. Summer Strike was ruined with the murder plot. I don't like CCR that much, so the murder plot is a welcome distraction from the experience of having to sit at school lessons lol

I haven't seen Snowdrop but yes. Youth of May also, but I didn't like the chaebol strand in that drama.

Random comment: Orange lipstick doesn't really look good on Bang Min Ah. Pls someone take that away from her. She already wore it all the time in My Absolute Boyfriend and it bothered me all the time although I liked Da Da character.

interesting, this is 8.7 in imdb. MDL people are more focused on the characters and romance? What's your theory?

If you're interested in history like me, Han Kang's book Human Acts is about this time period. It tells more about the censorship (pointed out in ep 8) and torture and killings by the secret police. Not an easy book but those were brutal times.

I think either Doo Hak or Cheol Woong will die.

Actually, I see more and more people freaking out if the woman is younger. For wokeists, Goblin is unwatchable. They call it an age gap drama. It used to be called a fantasy drama. Wokeists are changing our very language. It's not double standards, the direction is programmatic intolerance and cancelling which affects even k-drama reception in ridiculous ways. Like people saying they are not able to watch Goblin, 2521, or even Our Blues because of the age gaps. They see grooming and exploitation of female actresses everywhere. Exploitation will happen more in Hollywood because k-drama is way more centered on feelings than pure sex. I've seen people who say k-drama female actresses are "being groomed" if the male lead is older. But I think that actors and actresses are chosen based on their acting ability. Sometimes that leads to age gaps. It's just that the age gap here in CCR bothers me, without any ideological attitudes or double standards.
