Other criminals receive sentences and return to life - sometimes even to be congressmen. Why do actors have to…
Cancel culture is to be condemned, I'm not supporting him. Just try and answer the question of whether once criminals should be allowed to return to the society. Personal attacks on someone raising a general question are so foolish. Keyboard warriors are prolific in SK, what other things are you trying to do to make the world a better place than cancel people?

condemn the act - not the person!terribly sad that he took such actions and further agonizing is the fact that…
If Koreans hunted all drug users and gamblers with the same energy, but of course not. A country of the worst kind of social discrimination. The hunt of idols and actors, and just them, is insane. If ordinary people were subjected to the same treatment, prisons would be full and laws would have to be changed asap.

KBS has temporarily banned him until the final results are in. He is not permanently banned so if proven innocent…
In Nordic countries actors are just ordinary workers. Maybe they are even allowed or expected to be living not-so-puritanic lives. I hope Yoo In Ah and Jisoo migrate here because their talents are huge.

Maybe the idea of wanting to take revenge is not really good for anyone, at all? If you hold a grudge the grudge holds you. The many revenge dramas are selling a way of thinking which is frankly not good. Am glad this drama isn't revenge focused.

Is this good so far? Why the rating is low?
It's still early days to say whether it's good and what direction it will take. I had the same feeling about Reborn Rich in the beginning. It doesn't immediately win you over. The unpredictability is probably reflected in the current rating. A story of 3 people living thorough a tumultuous period in history.

Cancel culture targets individuals and not societal phenomena. Basically, that's what I mean by a lynch mob mentality. And is it humanism, to not give a second chance to criminals, at all? This is my question, basically. Also, just observing that the actor is so good they don't seem to want to replace him. Having watched Vagabond, Misty, and many other dramas, I can understand directors' and producers' choice of letting him return. Netizens wanting to directly influence things at this level - cancelling persons - often also vehemently cancelling persons who don't agree with cancelling persons, I don't think it's a good thing overall. But it is the situation we currently live in.

Damn, another drama I can't watch!!! I will not support any drama that allows a sexual predator of a minor in…
Other criminals receive sentences and return to life - sometimes even to be congressmen. Why do actors have to be cancelled for the rest of their lives? It doesn't seem fair, imo. I'm not saying his crimes aren't very serious, just that paying for the crimes via the sentences set for them by law should be enough. There's the other factor, that avoiding this actor means not being able to watch many of the very best k-dramas. I just think that in a fair society, actors should not receive a treatment different from other citizens. Cancel culture is basically a lynch mob mentality, if you think further. SK can easily make victims based on mere rumours, also. Not saying that is the case here, just my thoughts.

I use all my mandatory sitting in cars or buses time watching KBS drama specials - not checking beforehand whether they're considered worthwhile. This one deals with the cruelty of the treatment of people taken as hostages by the Ming dynasty and returning to their homeland. A promising topic, but the execution and writing of the drama is frankly all over the place. Not recommended.

I was a disappointed, that in such a short drama so much screentime went to the antagonists and the usual celebrities' problems. I'd have liked it more if it had stayed within the hospital, the kids, FL and ML developing relationship. But the drama was kind of sweet, nevertheless. Especially the toys in the last episode!

why the low rate???
I guess the rating rises when more people rate. The number of people rating influences the rating. It'll prob land somewhere around 8.1
