So, basically, another version of Doom at your Service? Doom was excellent, not sure this will be as good though......
I don't get the comparison. There are zero similarities. DAYS has a much more serious undertone, focused on philosophy of life and psychology, no action, extended dialogues.
Are these strong ratings, really? (I don't think that's true, comparing e.g. to TV Chosun's "Love ft. Marriage and Divorce". Strong ratings are double digits.
To not like portrayal of mature professional women as funny, cute, dumb, and naive is not the same as to be "a hater". It's just that k-drama world could move on from this particular trope, because it's too dated. Hate is a very strong word. If you dislike other people's opinions, you are allowed to express it but calling people haters is too much. Normalizing such strong language use is becoming common, but it's not within the parameters of normal dialogue.
What the fuckI endured a very boring dull slow historical drama to get into lesbians now??dropped
Well, it's becoming compulsory to have minority representation in every drama. Although it's difficult to import people of color to Joseon, that will be next year's mandatory woke politics. But if you've been force fed these mandatory representations in western dramas for years to ad nauseam, you'll just feel like "I can't with this, I want k-drama to be different". The lesbians were portrayed beautifully though, it didn't come across as forcefully programmatic unlike in many other dramas. Not liking mandatory wokeness is not homophobia. It's very easy to call people names. Dramas are fiction and importing current ideologies to every drama is a distraction from writing as well as possible. I do block people like Ivy who are on the search for wrongthinkers. I know more trans, bi and gay people in RL than prob anyone who attacks me for my views on woke soldiers.
I guess they'll be solving different murder mysteries for the 20 episodes. One main plot, different cases in different episodes. Like Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist. I personally don't like most case-based dramas, or whodunnit plots, so looks likely this is not for me. Will watch for now and see how it turns out.
