Her weight is fine with me because it didn't break down her cool acting skills as ever she can display range emotions…
people who have more fat can't display emotions? I'd think the more botox and surgeries the more difficult it is to display emotions but okay.

I thinks it's quite harsh to say that the rookie writer shouldn't get another chance just because you feel there…
Normally promising writers get a chance by writing a drama special first. Immaturity is a rare feature in k-dramas. Plot holes are not a bigger concern here than in any other drama. Ability to write dialogue is key to getting to know the characters.

I don’t know man! This years kdrama are so mediocre what’s happening
This year has been like the best ever with AoS, Little Women, Sound of Magic, Our Blues, If You Wish Upon Me and many others. But this particular period offers absolutely nothing worthwhile.

After Secretary Kim and a Her private life, no further drama of PMY came near in script, chemistry and neither…
Agree about the poor writing. Her Private Life was so much better. Loved that one. I didn't like Secretary Kim. I do like her in When the Weather is Fine (currently watching). Healer is so good, a classic. I liked her in Forecasting Love and Weather and the drama was imo endlessly better than this one. In Queen for 7 Days the problem was again poor writing but her chemistry and the scenes with Lee Dong Gun were awesome and the reason I completed it.

Before this drama I couldn't guess how many haters PMY had. As a rule, they cling on to notorious Dispatch, which…
People are wondering what is healthy and what is not. Mostly none of are not familiar with Dispatch. It's a very basic question and PMY's body gets shown a lot in the drama and the message is always that she's the most beautiful and desirable. You need to think what that message might do overall and whether it's correct rather than assuming that other people are haters. No one hates or dislikes PMY. I've watched all her dramas and she's still gorgeous but it's worrisome if this is the beauty standard.

Is it just me but PMY's weight loss is really evident here and I think it's a bit unhealthy? I know beauty and…
I agree. The beauty standards are worrisome. I'd like to know if it's healthy to be so skinny, honestly. Yes it bothers me.

I think we should be talking about how the characters are written, not take the characters as if they were real life people. We don't really get to understand any of the characters in an in-depth manner. The dialogues are too few and too short. Male lead suddenly miraculously gets recovered his aspergers (as if his lack of social skills had been merely inconsiderate behavior). Rookie writer, I hope he or she doesn't get a second chance bc of the too obvious immaturity of the whole thing. I just wish people would analyze the drama writing and directing not characters as they are given. I know nobody agrees. To me this just represents a drama with bigger flaws in writing. Should have been developed with more time and with the help of more mature peer reviewers.

I just don't why yall are hating on our sml. He is a good person and so hot :(
the writing of his character is just as lacking in depth as are all the characters. Male leads sudden recovery from his aspergers is ridiculous.
Replying to Alex Nov 2, 2022
the mere presence of the second male lead is repulsive story could be a 9/10 without his ass in it
It's a poorly written CHARACTER. Alex. Not a real person. Writer is dumbass, not the actor.
Replying to MTSS_2022 Nov 2, 2022
they wasted jae young's acting ability for such a dumbass and infuriating character...
indeed. after the great role in Reflection of You he should have been given a main lead role. LIC is immature as if it was written by a 14 year old.

Title Youth of May
is this really a melo? not comedy and light drama?
not melo. historical, lots of violent & torture scenes. Very dark.

Wahh why the melodrama??? I am interested cause its rated high but I don't like melodrama
it's not a melodrama, actually. I guess people use too broad genre categories. It's not easy to say what genre this is, but more like a mix of workplace drama, romance and slice of life.

recommend me one of his dramas please
Record of Youth esp. the fashion show & runway scenes.
On Byeon Woo Seok Oct 25, 2022
Loads of charisma. He stood out in Record of Youth, which was somewhat mediocre otherwise. Great in 20th Century Girl.

Let us feel goddamn
Getting the feels (laughter, tears) from a drama is good. It's very good. It's a blessing. When people say they get depression from sad endings, it's worrisome. Many people say they were harmed. Is that a joke or just a way of speaking? I don't think so. In any case, producers and writer are getting so much s*** thrown at them for the ending. Are we just going to get happy endings in the future? That would really be a nightmare & a massive mistake. What I see is a lot of people who are afraid of breaking like glass from sadness or sad endings. That can't be. It's not how we should think. I encourage you to really put some thought to what I'm trying to say here.

Title Train
Going to drop this at ep 4. The plotholes and illogicalities are getting too much for me. I had the same problem with Sisyphus, W and the King the Eternal Monarch. But I started watching hoping this would be something like Circle, or Search, which are both excellent. Whodunnit genre is too old and not me even with 2 worlds involved.
On 20th Century Girl Oct 24, 2022
I find that people somehow believe they are made of glass. I don't believe that's good for them. A movie or drama cannot cause trauma, depression, or heartbreak. Only real life problems and challenges can. If you think you're made of glass and not able to bear sadness, how will you cope with real life.

Rejecting any possibility of watching cdramas while watching a clear copy of Chinese fantasy dramas...
Plenty to watch, plenty to read. I watch Chinese movies from classics to contemporary. You can't mandate people should watch what you consider worthy.
