It's such a mess... I like him but he's too impulsive and that makes him look stupid and naive. It feels like I'm…
Very true, it's a mess. The writing is all over the place. Mandatory fight scenes every 5 mins. ML really is such a toddler level problem solver but tolerable bc he has his moments with the mischievous grins. This is as calculated as the Roundup blockbuster movies with Ma Dong Seok but we always know we'll be entertained at least to some extent.
Two women tearing each others hair. Writer, if you read this: an ABSOLUTE no-go zone at this day and age. Rated 4/10 after seeing that and a very probable drop.
Taecyeon and Seohyun have perfectly matching vibes. I love them in this even more than usual (both have been exceptionally good actors always, imo). Taec was my first k-pop crush and I'm just swooning over how dreamy handsome he is in this one. Candy in my eyes and ears (If you don't get the reference, Taec sings the golden oldie Candy in my Ear with Baek Jiyoung. Goofy-sexy is a strange mix but how can you not like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BcPCALpwL0). Sorry for the drooling, this is not like me. But we've all got our weaknesses! mine happens to be Taecyeon, especially in I'm Your Man (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTGrrRoEqmE). Pls watch Taecyeon sing and dance his self-composed fantastic tango Traicion! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi5Vm2MkwSQ (I mean, how can you not fall his gorgeous voice and delivery)
I love Park Ji Hoon but the guest appearance was really pointless. As was the entire drama after the first 4 episodes. It tried to be like Chocolate, but Chocolate is a fully developed drama that really pulls at our heartstrings. Kang Ha Neul carried the drama and was solid. A delight to watch. Go Min Si was somehow not present, not invested, uninterested. To be honest. I don't know how to put it more politely. 7/10.
Thanks for interesting list..curious?? how could you prefer Under the Skin #2 (which seemed lifeless & poorly…
Many thanks for commenting! I loved both seasons. I fully support the more experimental approach they took in S2, but I understand your point. I liked it more bc I like to be challenged sometimes and I think they succeeded in doing that
Random comment: It's just obvious to me that people who find Mercy For None a masterpiece haven't watched Cruel City. There needs to be no compromise between hairraising action, character depth and a gripping mastermind plot. Mercy For None is such an easy watch, bc it's all on the surface. Not a tragedy that grips us by our guts. No love story doomed from the start. There so many k dramas with bloodshedding action that also make us feel the story and characters so deeply that we'll forever remember them.
The makers should have added more brotherly moments, showing how they cared about each other from childhood to…
The one drama that portrays a real heartbreaking tragedy with brothers becoming each other's worst enemies: Oasis. Everything, including the fight scenes are better in Oasis. But it flew under people's radar bc it wasn't on Netflix I guess.
Cool embodied.
