I agree that episode 1 didn't feel right to me either, pretty much felt the same way as you. But as you watch…
I get that's how you interpret it, and to an extend it is intentionally portrayed like that. This is to show Hira's sense of inferiority . However if you notice Kiyoi's reactions and attention (although not said or showed explicitly), he is not actually annoyed or creeped out by Hira. And although trying to hide it, he is actively trying to spend time alone and you can sense he is more comfortable (and appreciates spending time) with Hira in contrast with his lack of caring for everyone else. If you are looking for obvious words and actions to notice this, maybe wait for the next episodes that will show his point of view. But already you can deduct it by how he chooses to spend time with Hira instead of others and his eyes/silence on key moments.
Apologize if my comment is not popular comment here. I really don't like episode 1, it is so degrading humanity…
I agree that episode 1 didn't feel right to me either, pretty much felt the same way as you. But as you watch the next episodes you can see how the story is tainted by Hira's perception (inferiority complex) of their relationship in combination with Kiyoi's defensive verbal communication. However you can sense the sincerity of their relationship is in the unspoken parts. I think from episode 5, once Kiyoi's PoV of the events is exposed, their connection will feel mutual. That doesn't really justify Kiyoi's way of expression but at least it is part of his own insecurities and doesn't portray his real feelings. Either way, it does make for an interesting watch, albeit sometimes uncomfortable one.
I just watched ep 3 and the ending shocked me! I really thought Suwon would give the heart to Haneul bcs he gave…
It seems it's a scene from later in the timeline, so something must have happened in between to justify his action. I'm still rooting for these two though!
no, i mean the husband of the cleaning couple. He is not as annoying as the rest, but he's still frustrating. Which part of critical danger and blood all over the place can't he get?!
If I were to rank the side characters on how despicable they are: The guy who killed his wife, the lawyer and the blogger are on the top. Then it's the lady representative and the older brother. Then its Miss affair and Mr. cleaner.
I had the same reaction. Does she have no hobbies, interests, friends...... her diaries reflected none of her…
That's why I cringed so much at this scene (even travelling to her past to see she's always been like that)... I generally liked her character but this scene made me feel she's so hollow; like people are attracted to her and her skills, but it made me think this is only because she's the FL and not because i've actually watched her showing any interesting aspect throughout the show... This goes to show how great KGE's portrayal has been and how good the cells' CGE/voice-acting was...
I meant it as a criticism. To build your whole personality around your relationship to the point you have no hobbies/friends... That's not being bored, that's being boring.
This is such an unfair review... I understand your feelings but I think you just need to understand the genre…
Feelgood dramas means that the (majority of the) people who watch it will feel good about it, which is seen by the high rating, and the sentiment shared by most watchers.
Like I said, it's fine if you don't like it, it's not meant for you then. But don't recommend people to go watch episode 12 (of 16!) to decide if they should watch it or not. Yes, most episodes have a conflict which is resolved at its end, but there is an overall growth in the story (mostly about the community and the team, which you feel are separated), and in order to feel for the characters then you need to grow with them.
PS. 30 is still young, you may still change taste over the rest 50 or so years of your life.
For anyone who wants to know if this is worth sitting through 16 episodes, watch episode 12. You are going to…
This is such an unfair review... I understand your feelings but I think you just need to understand the genre of the drama, which is aimed to be heartwarming and feelgood (thus all conflicts eventually are resolved). Maybe you prefer more heavy or makjang dramas, which is perfectly fine, but there is space in dramaland for all genres. For the people who like this type, this is a great drama (as seen by the rating). You don't need to finish it, since you don't seem to be into the genre, but maybe later on in your life you'll be attracted to its simple warmth. For the record, I am not leaving this comment to argue with you, but to let other people reading the comments (possibly to decide if its worth watching) know that this is in fact a great drama for its genre :)

I'm also not sure how to interpret her feelings there...
Math is important; 360 is a complete circle. You probably meant 180...
