I mean I guess that realistically not all relationships work, but if you’re gonna tell me this kind of story then i want my happy ending, cos I agree they’re soulmates! My worry is that he might have died but he suffered enough, the story would be too cruel to kill him. Anyway. This is the only aspect of the drama that takes my pleasure away, I think it’d be perfect without it.

Thats precisely my point. The story would be complete without the Present parts. Not to say I don't appreciate the grandma/ma/daughter interactions, but they feel like fillers/triggers and the story would actually be the same (better) without it.

It works on making people talk in the Reply series, indeed. But it does a huge disservice to the story. Especially in R88 where clearly the twist was decided for the sake of it and not for the story itself (I say that while I was rooting for Chilbong in R94).
In this drama, it's even pointless! Contrary, when my mind goes there I get a repulsive response, which is so unfair considering how I love the story (and its execution) other than that!

The only thing i hate in the Reply series is the 'husband' game. And the only thing I hate in this drama is the 'who's the dad' mystery. Like, this is so unnecessary! They either end up together (I hope so, I love what they have) or they don't. Tell your story without the stupid gimmicks...

I wasn't gonna watch this but decided to give it a chance after watching some edits on my feed. This is really fun! Simple, obvious drama tropes but well executed.

I have my issues with Teh's character, but I understand that was an intentional part of the story. One of the best (if not THE best) Thai BL dramas.

I think your translation is right, "I shouldn't wear it" -> 나는 끼면 안되지. Meaning he shouldn't be covering his face (double meaning I believe, since Seojoon is famous and because people will be there to see them/his face).

Btw if you can understand this much by hearing, you should learn hanja. It'd take you max 2 hours, it's an alphabet in essence so it's really easy to memorize.
