She’s the Queen Mother - how is he supposed to react? Specially in public? Everybody is waiting for the grand prince to make the wrong move so they can eliminate him. If he made a scene after the slap, it would have been out of character for someone in his position.

In a way their objective backfired. I found out about this BL because of the contraversial ban. If anything, He Chu San is wayyy better than the character HCX lost in POJ. Hope it doesn’t affect him in the long run though since he really is a promising actor.

I think it's because he thought she was trying to use him for his title to pro.ote her brand (since she has a reputation for being a social climber). Calling him "her senior" implies familiarity and that Hui Ju recalls their turbulant past too. Or at least the fact that she'd stoop so low kind of tickled his curiousity?

C'mon why drag KTL into this? You can like both/ like one without bringing the other down. Hell in a way, the MLs in both dramas have annoying "sister" figures.

People actually hate the FL? I mean sure she is morally grey and is willing to do almost anything to win but it's only been one episode 🙈

HuiJu needs to have a "noble" title even if it has no real power. She craves to be valued since nobody takes her accomplishments seriously due to her current "illegitimate" status.

Lee Ahn needs to find a wife before his SIL forces him to marry someone of her choosing (and seeing how she was in ep 1, she definitely will not be generous with her selection). It also seems like Lee Ahn used to have a soft spot for Hui Ju when they were young so it's a win-win.

Seems like it. He's been conditioned to see himself as a second class citizen since he was a kid afterall (the flashback with his father/ the evolution of the titles he received over the years).

True!!! I hope she doesn't pop up too often if that's their intention. The actress did a great job making us hate her character almost instantly🙈

With Perfect Crown, I feel like we are missing some information. She pretty much blamed Lee Ahn for killing the former King during the fire scene. It's pretty insane of her to just blatantly accuse him of such a thing 🫠

Think this time since the Queen Mother has a more active role compared to other dramas, we see her POV in more detail? As a mother she is being cautious but for whatever unknown reason she seems to fixate on Lee Ahn.
