With Fan Yake, he feels like he has been tricked because he caught her selling her father's treasured scripts to fund her expenses. He was under the impression that just like him, she too valued them.

The genius didn't bother to wonder WHY was she willing to sell her dowry instead of fixing the core problem - i.e. his mother🤦‍♀️


PS: I can't recall now if Yake purposely tricked him into believing she valued rare scripts to gain his affection so I may be missing something

Yake is her own worst enemy. Xie doesn't really need to lift a finger even. She almost always digs her own grave every time she tries to scheme.

For instance, with her child's birthday. If Yake took the high road and just ignored Xie instead of making it her personal mission to make Xie look like a joke in front of her guests, she wouldn't have embarrased herself.

From Xie's POV, my guess is that she's using the same logic she had with Lu. Yake isn't worth dirtying her hands.

That's true...it feels kind of futile since they closed that chapter a few episodes back. I guess if we want to be realistic, it was her way of reacting to Soo Bin's stubbon stance?

Even in the preview she says how she wishes he didn't push her into saying things she doesn't want to say? You know it's irrational but when you keep getting pushed, everything just comes out? Even things you don't mean? That's how I feel anyway.

She did hold a grudge for years afterall. She finally has a chance only to find history repeating itself, so she just can't help recounting her outdated thoughts?🙈


I completely agree with you on your last point!!!! I understand wanting the best for your favourite character but that doesn't mean you should ignore the storyline. POVs matter🙈

The accident is definitely not WSB's fault- I've been saying that since the beginning.
He clearly told her in advance that he had no intention of joining her. Leaving the bus was her choice.

She's allowed to feel betrayed since he abandoned their dreams and her without a fair reason at the time but she can't blame the accident on him (hell, even JYJ pretty much already agrees on this).

Yeah I agree with you on the fact that it's rediculous to claim that the FLs are taking advantage of the MLs.

The drama made it crystal clear that WSB was the one who had to convince JYJ to join his team and even after joining, JYJ worked hard to earn the crew's respect. They even clearly showed how the crew gradually warmed upto her as their confidence on her grew.

It's just that some viewers tend to polarize their character expectations that should only meet their ideals I guess?

For instance even with WSB's adopted mother, I saw some calling her weak and other degrading terms even after it was made clear why she chose to stay.

This is why POVs matter!🙈 We shouldn't watch the drama just as observers😅

WSB's a jerk for insisting her to stay but it's also kind of clear why he wants her to stay- it's not out of malice or a need to control. It's just his unresolved fears. He can be judged based on his next steps.

Calling JYJ selfish is beyond unreasonable. She's not moving to Mars afterall. The breakup wouldn't even be in discussion if WSB didn't freakout after he found out about her plans.🙈

The point about the SML using the SFL for his career isn't exactly correct.

If anything, it was the SFL's mother who reached out to the SML with an irresistable contract just so she can sontrol her daughter. If he wanted to use her from the beginning, he wouldhave been the one to reach out/ manipulate her into getting him more scenes.
His fault is not being honest with her after the contract was signed and choosing to be an ass on purpose.

The extra scenes in her dramas were just a coincidence since if she had arranged them behind his back, her mother would have found out about him sooner.

I do like the fact that WSB was smiling in the preview when he gave her the script with the intention of motivating her during her time away since that was something that helped him too. It shows that he wholeheartedly accepted her wish even if it means they’d have to be apart for a bit longer.🙈

Exactly! I hope they do justice for JYJ’s character as well as WSB’s till the end. The preview does feel promising since we know they parted ways at a promising note.

It hasn’t revealed yet but logically she must have gifted it to him during a fan event. Not necessarily directly but probably posted it to his agency during some kind of fan event probably.

Since it’s a kdrama though, they might make it more whimsical

Specially after his hilarious monologue after his conversation with her mum - “Your daughter’s crush is…me”🙈

After a week’s worth of toxic parents and grandmothers, today’s episode was refreshing 🙈

Exactly! I love how unpretentious JYJ is. She chose the hard path and understood how she could be a bottleneck in the future so she decided to improve herself so she can bring more meaning into their collaboration in the longrun.

The bus analogy was good too - it adds more impact to her decision. It’s not just about being a director. It’s a second chance to choose herself.

It’s not about long distance though is it? WSB literally is willing to sacrifice everything for JYJ and he just wants to swadle her when what she really wants to do is stand together as his equal. The way he reacted wasn’t healthy - specially in the long run.

This doesn’t mean that WSB’s a red flag. He needs to learn to choose himself at least once without thinking how his actions can help JYJ. He’s been living all this time for her. The break up is very much needed at least for a bit.

Normally I don’t really support break ups just to move the plot ahead but I feel in THIS case, it makes sense. Throughout episodes 10 - 11 it was shown how WSB always focused on survival whereas JYJ was a fighter, willing to go the distance to make sure she gets what she wants. While WSB’s not a bad guy, he is too dependent on her because of his traumatic experience. They need some distance to grow up so they can have a proper happy ending 🙈

It’s also important to note that the reason for their breakup was clearly communicated so WSB doesn’t have a chance to misunderstand her reason behind it (and seems like he accepts it based on the preview at least).

Honestly the best part about today was WSB’s mum reclaiming her life. That slap was loooong overdue 🙌
