guys, why is this kdrama called lovely runner? I think Iβm dumb bc I thought it was called that bc at first…
Haha nah you are not dumb! Think most of us came to a similar conclusion at first while the show was airing till they started to reveal all the twists.
Basically: -Sol runs to the past to save Sunjae -Sunjae runs forward to the future (2023 ) to be with his Sol
Does the FL have romantic feelings for the ML at the beginning?
In the original timeline she was only a stan- she loved him and was super devoted (in a respectful manner) but didn't harbour any romantic feelings since even the thought of him liking her back was unthinkable (Sol's POV).
It's after she gets to spend more time with the "real" Sunjae, she truly falls for him. It's very organic and not forced.
I stopped thinking about the show after I finished but one thing keeps bothering me: Seon Jae WOULDN'T commit…
About the randomness of the villain's arc- i wouldn't call it 100% random i guess?
Since the drama revolves around fate and souls in essence, while the villain's reason is random, he still is connected to Sunjae by fate (Sunjae is always an obstacle and this is inevitable). The twist is that Sol was never the issue like we are made to believe but only collateral damage because of her connection to Sunjaeπ

Sunjae never committed suicide. It was always the taxi driver coming for his revenge.
This was proven in ep 9 when they showed how the driver tried (and failed) to drug Sunjae first with a white rag- difference is ep 1 Sunjae wasn't as strong as ep 8-9 Sunjae (which is why ep 1 Sunjae wasn't stabbed).
For a drama with just 8 episodes, I thought it would have a tight story, but that doesn't seem to be the case.…
But isn't that the whole point of "serendipity"- a faithful/ chance encounter?
I'm guessing we are in store for a whole lot of fateful encounters between these 2 in the next couple of weeks- hopefully it won't go as far as their pre-teens years though π
I correct myself, after episode 9 I was annoyed, but watching 10 I'm disgusted. all you saying the love triangle…
I 100% agree with you. Sunjae's jealousy can irritate some viewers because the jealousy thrope had been going on for several episodes and there are other viewers who don't really mind it that much (i mean compared to some kdramas they make the misunderstandings more humorous than stressful so i guess it helps for some).
There's 6 episodes left so I hope the good outweigh the bad points :)

The triangle is very much dead since: 1- KTS only likes 34 year old Sol so if Sol didn't time travel back to 2009, KTS wouldn't be interested in Sol. He also knows that there's no chance for him to rekindle things with the Sol he likes since she has made it clear that there is no chance in hell for them to workout. (There is a resolution of sorts here that completely ends any lingering feelkngs by the end of ep 16 but i will not spoil it here).
2- Even 2009 Sol seems to have cut ties with KTS for reasons unknown so we can assume that even the younger Sol had no intension of rekindling old flames.
3- Sunjae knows that HIS Sol likes him once he believed her time travel story and doesn't get jealous from that point on wards.
His jealousy till mid ep 10 makes sense in a way since at least till this point, in his youthful pov Sunjae was still very confused because of Sol's erratic behaviour. Sol kept pushing him away and yet he keeps finding Sol together in cahoots with KTS even after the 2 broke up .π
We also need to be mindful that till the end of ep 10, he was still not 100% sure if Sol really was from the future and not just rejecting him again. At least a part of Sol from 2008 used to like KTS A LOT and Sunjae still hasn't gotten over the whiplash he got from episode 4 or 5 when one minute Sol showed all indications that she likes him to less than 12 hours later seeing her being in love with the other guy again (even after she herself declared previously that she didn't like KTS anymore). And again after she broke up with KTS, till ep 6, Sol again showed strong signs of caring about Sunjae only to end things cruelly and ignore him again.
All the 2008 events mentioned above happened in a span of 7-8 months fro. Ep 9's pov. So you can hardly expect the ML and the SML to do a 180Β° and simply forget Sol's erratic behavior, specially considering the fact that both KTS and SJ are still 19 in ep 9-10 and aren't mature enough to act grown up about everything.
So Sunjae's jealousy in a way makes sense. What we need to focus on is the fact that he doesn't drag this into their relationship. He is possesive, true, but his actions do not hurt Sol in a toxic manner. (I'l admit his possessiveness is exhausting to his friends but they always call him out on it and tbf they already knew what they were signing up for when they became friends π π π )
I correct myself, after episode 9 I was annoyed, but watching 10 I'm disgusted. all you saying the love triangle…
Did you watch episode 10 till the end? The SML calls out the ML for his unnecessary jealousy - that's why most viewers don't take the triangle seriously IMO.
There's no triangle if the SML himself pushes the ML towards the FL- specially if the FL makes it crystal clear that she has no interest in the SML in that way. The ML also gets over his jealousy before they get together so there's nothing toxic from that front in that timeline either enough to call things "disgusting".
**** Reasons with spoilers are available in the below πcomment if you are interested :)
Edit: if you are referring to the SML's antics in ep 9 and 10 - he mostly does them to annoy Sunjae/ tease Sol. He already knows that Sol will not give him a second chance. Secretly pining after her is his choice since in his reality it's been only 6-7 months since they broke up (even if it was a 2 week relationship it was the first time KTS fell for someone). But this too is given a resolution by the time the series ends (not sure how you would feel about it tbh though since some like it/ some want more closure).
Time is not precious for them π€While apparently we teenagers have all the time in the world π€£π€£π€£
They might make an exception for LR if the schedules allow it? They'd have to be blind not to see how fans keep asking for more joint content as well as SD's high viewership ratings π
The watch gets activated at the time of sunjae's death. Like the first watch at midnight and second watch during…
It's mostly by trial and error. Based on her previous time travel experience she made an estimate that it's about 1-1.5 months. The uncertainity was the reason why she was extra cautious in 2009 since she had to stop the driver before she was pushed forward to her own time.
How the exact time was decided- a popular guess is that the watch can sense the time Sol wants to go back to (i.e. right before things went wrong) which is why she usually ended up going back in time close to the date she needs to make changes. But there is no real explanation as far as I know.
Sol does run A LOT in the drama nglπ
Basically:
-Sol runs to the past to save Sunjae
-Sunjae runs forward to the future (2023 ) to be with his Sol
So together, they are lovely runners π
It's after she gets to spend more time with the "real" Sunjae, she truly falls for him. It's very organic and not forced.

At least that's how I see it
This was proven in ep 9 when they showed how the driver tried (and failed) to drug Sunjae first with a white rag- difference is ep 1 Sunjae wasn't as strong as ep 8-9 Sunjae (which is why ep 1 Sunjae wasn't stabbed).
Fair warning though, it has a bitter sweet ending
this has a good balance between the BTS in the Entertainment industry, romance, and friendship
Bonus: In Hyuk is in it (as a support character)+ his band's song "Shooting Star" is part of the main OST
Changed it nowπ
I'm guessing we are in store for a whole lot of fateful encounters between these 2 in the next couple of weeks- hopefully it won't go as far as their pre-teens years though π
Also, how did you manage to track all the crumbs from the scriptbook on X? Is there one dedicated page or is it random? πππ

If you mostly need Romcom, I'd recommend LR first.
If it's youth, family, and friendship with a secondary focus on romance- Twinkling Watermelon
Honestly it doesn't really matter which you try first since both are great dramas π
18 Again - i haven't watched so i can't comment but it's got a lot of positive feedback and fun reels too so it probably is good tooπ
Fingers crossed anyway π€π€π€
