The killer is just your usual run in the mill psycho. He's just obsessed with Sol because she's the one that got away- several times.

She's good game in the killer's pov. Bessides, since she's got the cops after him, he needs to get rid of her out of spite.

Unfortunately for Sol, Sanjae's love for her is too strong AND he is destined to cross paths with the killer- it's his destiny so she needs to figure out the perfect way to fight destiny🙈

To be fair, the only mistake she made was not telling Seonjae that the detectives were with her. (Yes i know it was a critical mistake)

For all we know, may be it was original Sol who yelled at them about smoking in the new timeline . We know that young Sol is naive but she is also quick witted the way she handled the original kidnapping. Perhaps she did yell at them for reasons not connected to swimmers (may be she didn't want Taesung to get sick considering her huge crush on him at the time😅😅😅)

As for Taesung turning into a cop- perhaps even in the original timeline he did brcome a cop in the end? We only know that he dropped out of school in the original timeline- not what happened after.

Also it's kind of interesting how in the preview, Sol and Sanjae kept meeting up in places where they have memories...is that some kind of hint? It doesn't seem like Sol wants to interact with Sanjae no matter how much she misses him so it doesn't make sense why she would actively take him to these places. 🙊🙊🙊🙊

True but Sol does still care about him. She knows that his life gets difficult and he dropped out of school in his original timeline, so if possible, she might try to fix it with her advice just like the first time if she has time.

Taesung and Sol's relationship is not connected to Sanjae- she knew him since 2007 because of the concert. So probably their paths crossed after she went back in time again.

Taesung did mention about her being a busy body with the school smokers so perhaps Sol did recreate some of the previous events? With the only difference that she didn't interact with Sanjae? 😅😅😅

He didn't time travel. The watch reset once he "died" again. So now Sanjae's watch is a time machine.

Sol simply went back in time during the first chance itself and stopped him from having their first encounter in the rain.

Because Sanjae didn't see Sol happily run towards him in the rain, he didn't fall in love with her at that point...and so they moved on their separate ways (at least that's what's assumed atm. We still need the new Sanjae's POV)

Also since Sanjae was wearing the watch at the time Sol activated the watch again....perhaps Sanjae did too...at least their memories (only fragmented so he has to piece them together?)
