Since both the FL and her mum couldn't remember who saved her just after 1 year (and the mum didn't look uncomfortable as far as i can recall) I don't think whoever saved her died- or at least they are not aware of how the accident impacted the rescuer.

Yes, Ryu's shoulder was already injured but it was in recovery. Since in 2008 he was on his way to become a champion swimmer but by 2009 he became an idol, something irrecoverable must have happened during the timeframe that killed his swimming career forever.

I agree that the FL's original crush may have been involved though. It's strange how he apparently left before her graduation and we know that he is a trouble maker.

The question is - is he a villain or just misunderstood?

It's also interesting that they brought up the person who saved her during her accident. Could there be some kind of connection there? Just speculating here but may be Ryu's swimming career ended because he hurt his shoulder while saving the FL?

The drama is giving me "twinkling watermelon" vibes and i can't help recalling Yi Chan's accident - how it was unavoidable in the end🙊

Here we have 2 accidents and a potentially suspicious suicide (what's with the pills strewn all over the table eh?) in the future...so you never know 😅😅😅

Does it have a happy ending?

This drama was suggested on a YT short that covered "sad bls" but some of the other dramas on the list did end on a happy note so kind of curious. 🙊

Is it because of the whole Lili situation?

I admit we are missing some crucial details like their age gap but isn't Lili &SP's situation more or less similar to Qian & Yuan's? He was mostly looking out for lili because of Qian after all (at least until recently)...not with bad intentions?

The way Qian found out definitely sucks. But is there a good time to tell your depressed bestfriend that you are dating his sister when the reason your friend is depressed is because of the same reason (and you instigated it)?🙊🙊🙊

Granted the age gap seems to be similar, and we at least know that SP is decent (hell he even forced himself to drink Qian's wine when he himself was already smashed), it doesn't seem worth condemning SP forever.
Qian just needs to punch🥊🥊🥊✨️ him once and move on🙊

To be fair, Qian and Yuan have always been extremely close in their own way since even before the day Lili let him into their home. It's always Qian and Yuan. They are pretty co-dependant. Even growing up, we can see that Qian was more in charge of Yuan's life than Lili's.

So you'd never imagine that your clingy adopted brother was secretly hitting on your brother right? She finds it annoying in a jealous sibling way but i don't really blame her for not figuring it out - she's only known "clingy Yuan" all her life.
She can see that it's strange but she's missing the "gay" puzzle piece.

Lili does need to mature more though but i guess that's the side effects of being treated like a princess even with their poor circumstances. She does try to make things easy for Qian in her own way and trys not to bother him though so that's good.


Finally, it's not Sangpan's secret to tell Lili (specially since even after 4 years, Qian is still dealing with it badly) so I'm rather releaved that Sangpan's loyalty towards Qian is still there (even if he did start dating Q's sister behind his back)

Sp and Lili are only together as a plot device so not really a surprise- they aren't together even in the novel.

But hey if SP and Lili's relationship helps Qian to move forward with Yuan, i'm all ears 🙈

Loved that bit - It's all fun and games for Yuan- even "murdering" Sangpan, until Ning comes up again 🤣

Yes! Since we know that Yuan would never intentionally hurt Qian, and he routinely reminds Q of his intentions, it doesn't really feel uncomfortable.

Both Kurt and Chris (along with the rest of the cast) are doing an amazing job and even their interviews are so fun to watch 😀

Think so...i remember in one of the trailers or sneakpeeks of THAT scene where Qian confesses that he was scared when Yuan asked if Q was just pitying him or something like that

They'll probably stop ep 9 at the point Qian stops Yuan from leaving/ Yuan looks back at him so soulfully and start ep 10 with the fireworks (if you knlw what i mean)🙈🙈🙈

Since SP seems close to Qian's age and Lili and Yuan are more or less the same age, the gap is similar - about 6-8 - just a guess though

I'm not sure if Yuan majored in Tech or Psychology back in UCLA - he's toooo good at it 🤣🙈🙈🙈
