Honestly, I wasn't feeling this episode, and I don't really know why.First, San Pang and Lili's relationship was…
Honestly after the hell Qian went through, he deserves to be treated like he is fragile by his loved ones - pamper him! π
About keeping Qian out of the loop, what we are forgetting is, in the last 4 years, Qian was living in his own miserable bubble. Even Lili seems to feel like Qian doesn't care enough about her as much as he cares about Yuan (we know that she is wrong but to her, Qian's actions seem otherwise). The longer Q kept to himself without sharing his thoughts, it's possible that perhaps the rest of the gang just didn't want to weigh him more with more concerns till they found the right time π
Yuan is deliberately being pushy- he knows that Qian likes him back but is too stuck in the past So he's using psychology (the 21 days behaviourial theory) to help Qian get used to the new "not so brotherly" Yuan. Qian's definitely flusterred but you don't reaaally hear him complain (at least for now). Qian can protect himself π₯π₯π₯ so if Yuan does cross the line (which hopefully he won't since Y truly doesn't want to hurt Q), Qian will certainly show Yuan some β¨οΈ
This story just has me captivated. I know there are many opinions about this weeks episode but I think it is really…
Totally agree with you on SP and Lili's relationship. Eventhough we don't see it, every single episode, it's always mentioned that SP and Lili are close (I still find the thing where SP was supposed to be on a diet to support little 2016 Lili's goal super cute).
SP is Lili's main protector since it would have been impossible for Qian to stay afloat without SP's support.
It's also possible that since Qian pretty much lived in his own miserable world for the past 4 years, Lili and Y may have unintentionally gotten even more close. We keep hearing Lili's (misunderstood) POV that Q loves Yuan more than her. So it wouldn't be a surprise if Lili's already budding crush on SP grew 10 fold since SP's always there for her.
The age gap may be icky at first but it wasn't like SP had any ulterior motive. His main objective was always to help Qian - falling for Ili was just an accident.
PS: i honestly don't think SP actually helped change Lili's diapers- it's just a crude joke to rile up Lili (the joke is very Lili- Yuan codedπ)
Lili + SP probably have a similar age gap as Qian + Yuan.
I guess after seeing rediculously large age gaps, i guess a 6-8 age gap no longer sounds thaaaat bad in comparison- specially since both couples understand each other well enough without any generation gap issues for the most partπ
I mean, Yuan and Lili were in the same class at one point at least so they are probably the same age or 1 year difference at most. Qian and SP's friendship is through the landlord as far as i know so it's hard to say what their age gap is but it's probably quite close too.π
I got to that point almost two years ago and gave up on Thai BLs. The last one I found watchable was Moonlight…
I kinda recall seing your comments from other dramas and know you are a bit of a tough crowd to please so I was hesitating to go further (not complaining π).
But @vlees wasn't exaggerating what they said. Even i wasn't keen on trying IFYLITA at first because it was released during a time there were too many time travel dramas. But this one seriously hits you differently. The story is poignant and bitter sweet. And the drama isn't afraid to punch you where it hurts.
This is probably one of the least over produced dramas i've seen and they didn't even have product placements so there's no unnecesary scenes.
The story also doesn't just focus on a vapid lovestory between the past and present - it's so much beyond that π
But of course we can't force you to try something you aren't interested in.

Ikr?! Idk why is it so underrated...Jom and Yai deserve sooo much love β€οΈ
Even the SciFi bits were handled beautifully (albeit heartbreaking) and you learn so much about Thailand too! And all this done without product placement was the cherry on topπ
I'm still waiting for the special episode with bated breath π
Yuan's smart and Lili talks A LOT. It's possible that may be Lili mentioned how Qian had changed alot since Y…
That's true!
Yuan's playing a game of tug of war with Qian's mind at this point with his hot and cold attitude. What's fun is how Qian doesn't flinch anymore when Yuan invades his personal space.
He's confused and a bit dazed by the proximity but he doesn't really protest either π

Totally agree with you.
In case you've lost all your faith in Thai bls and missed the show, I totally recommend "I feel you linger in the air" - it's quite unique in many ways from the usual thai bl contentπ
Wow. This is the best BL I've seen in quite a while. I'm impressed with everything from acting and direction to…
Yuan's smart and Lili talks A LOT. It's possible that may be Lili mentioned how Qian had changed alot since Y left over the years so Yuan must have figured that even though Qian "banished" him, Q still cares a lot about him. So there's hope that even if Qian doesn't accept his love, he'll always be by his ge's side- making Y more bold with his actions π
Even i didn't really notice it until i read the novel after ep 7.
In ep 7, the drama focuses for a split second on Qian's expensive Fossil watch that shows the time for two time zones and if you watch the episode, all of Qian's scenes have his watch on even at home (a watch like his isn't exactly an accessory you'd be wearing when you clean your place).
But the thing is in the episodes prior to ep 7 and even in ep 8, Qian doesn't really have any kind of watch or even a bracelet on for the most part- not even during work so it's not a fashion choice as to why Qian suddenly switched to a fancy watch in ep 7.
(In the novel, they directly say that Qian got a watch that allowed him to add Yuan's time so he can know what Yuan's doing all the time or something like that)
can anyone who had read the book spoil me the ending?
They live happily ever after π
(The novel and the drama do not have the same plot - as in "same same but different" if you get what i mean? But the general essence is the same so Q and Y will have their happy ending (and same goes with the others)

Given how quickly spoilers get released for the show idk how we will survive 2 weeks ππππ

It's worth a try at least - hope you enjoy it if you do get a chance to check it out

This was supposed to be a random weekly way of killing time...but now it's a daily obsessionπ€―
