The plot will revolve around that misunderstanding. Question is how long will Mr "Fairy Godfather" take to figure out her lie considering how this misunderstanding might motivate him to go ahead with his dad's demands even more strongly. 🙈

Exactly!!! I was hesitant at first but honestly have no regrets. Since there were only a few episodes as well, it was easy to binge with hardly any filler scenes.

TMAI! The way they turned the tables was awesome and surprisingly not too over the top either. It's a believable scenario if you have the right contacts🙈

FR! Honestly the fact that she thought she could hoodwink the cops by switching the body was one of the most foolish ideas she had. Don’t they use DNA samples to confirm the body’s identity even if they are 100% sure who the victim is?🤦‍♀️

She seriously lost the plot. The only good thing about her is that she at least has the physical capability of a cop seeing as she was able to subdue JK quite easily on her own (even if this is the bare minimum expected).

True. By this point, there probably wasn't any sibling love or at least it was tainted since his actions could derail her otherwise perfectly planned/ executed career path. Her ambition was her ultimate fall 💀

While murder isn’t the answer, they were desperate. Even the police were not a viable option because of the sister. Even the detective who did eventually help them failed Eunsu in a way at the beginning seeing as he kept her certificate with him for so long but didn’t even try to see what was going on (after all it only took him barely a day to put things together).

They might have not have resorted to murder if HS wasn’t stressing over her mum’s and Mrs Kang’s situations along with her own PTSD and ES’s own attempt at the same time. With all that pressure, it’s understandable why they went for this route. Some people are just too evil.

I just love how the drama essentially implied that all “good” people are not to be trusted and not all “bad” people should be feared.

TBF even Mr Jin admitted that he too never realized just how dangerous JK was even with his experience. His lack of judgement caused him to lose one of his own workers.

The phone had to be taken by JK since they needed the last location to be changed to “Shanghai” for their ruse to work. That’s why she asked him to discard it after landing. Their mistake was trusting JK’s trusting appearance (even Mr Jin admitted he fell for his fake persona).

I guess they were just THAT desperate to get rid off NJP before Eunsu lost her last strand of patience - specially since HS was already traumatized by finding out that her mum was still getting abused/ her hand in Mrs Kang’s death.

Depends on your how strong your mentality is. You are already watching quite a few hard core dramas together so adding this to the mix might be a bit too much (or may be not)🙈

It’s good though. The DV topic isn’t sugar coated and you can feel their desperation. The ending was also satisfactory in my opinion.

Given the topic, it makes sense why romance isn’t part of the package.

He’s role is more like a father figure seeing as the girls are around his son’s age. He was already fond of HS’s attitude and work ethic and in his POV, it’s his fault for unintentionally egging HS into it/ not realizing how dangerous JK was. This is his second chance to protect his “kin”.

Don’t think the mum was a survivor given how offhandedly she spoke about it after the event, It’s just the perfect topic to rile up supporters.

I get what you mean. The DV is as visual as it was in Twelve Letters but it was a bit more light hearted here thanks to the side characters.

It’s worth the watch though as long as you don’t find the DV scenes traumatizing to an unbearable level.

A family like the Nohs will not give a damn about somebody like Eun Su aside from what she can do for them. Her friends weren’t influential enough to be bothered with.

I feel like more than the actual jail sentencing, the worst punishment in their POV is that they lost their reputation and have no way to salvage their dreams (besides losing the scum of a bro/ son they tried so hard to protect).

Seriously! I understand why the mother would have kept her silence, but was the sister’s career seriously in danger? Wouldn’t arresting her own brother show her dedication to the badge? Or would that backfire since she’d be considered as too “righteous” since the politics behind the law enforcement can be quite gray too?

She’s another complicit bystander who will be stuck in an endless cycle of “what ifs”. If only she had reported the husband when she initially noticed the DV, ES wouldn’t have been forced into murder nor would the security guy have gotten caught into it. Specially since she too is a mother to a daughter, she cannot ignore her role in all of this (or at least that’s what I hope she feels at least given how she sobbed while cleaning the rice).
