so I guess in the drama they don't have any intimate scenes because of their conditions specially ml !? thank…
Actually there's more PDA than in standard Jdramas of this genre (though idk if you can call it out of affection at the beginning exactly). There are quite a lot of simple gestures such as touching and hugging since they are in this unique circumstance where the MC can feel comfortable with only each other. We also get a kiss.
It's really wholesome so you don't really notice the lack of steamy scenes (at least it was with my case).
I'd say it's a very mature drama with some hilarious moments since the MC is at least in their 30s?
The best part is they don't drag misunderstandings. The so called love triangle isn’t really a triangle either since the SML is in love with someone else and has been their number 1 supporter even before the MC realized that they liked each other. There is one drunk misunderstanding but that too gets cleared up really quickly so it’s not really worth splitting hairs over. Like I said, it’s a love story with grown ups so if you don’t want a lot of annoying situationship drama with the MC, this is good. A healing romance may be?
(lol I think I’m beginning to ramble - sorry for the long response!)
It's the genre. Most Jdramas that revolve around this genre tend to have at least 1 awkward character with a "hyper" [not the best word but i can't think of a better word] personality that matches Hana. Honestly HHJ did a brilliant job emulating these characteristics. I didn't even realize it was her at first in ep 1.
One thing I absolutely love about this drama is how nobody got a "miracle cure"- they still struggle but are now able to cope better. Quite realistic for a drama.
It's the usual Jdrama MDL ratingI'm in ep 2 so far and it's fun.A guy suffering from touch related PTSD meets…
In ep 3 Sosuke said that he feels that he is dirty.
Throughout ep 1-3 there are flashbacks of his brother quarantined in a sterilized room when they were kids. In ep 1/2, Sosuke gave something to his brother to eat in the room. Adding everything together, it’s a safe bet to guess that Sosuke must have blamed himself for his brother’s death since you are not supposed to contaminate the room/ patients have restrictions in there. The way his younger self glanced at his hands when they confirmed his brother’s death says it all. He’s probably wrong since the bro looked really weak but at such a young age, this could have had a long lasting impact on him. Hence the PTSD 😊
Scopophobia- ok i was too l lazy to change my comment after she mentioned it again but it is a phobia associated with social anxiety disorder so I'm not that wrong.🙊
So did I miss it or was the Han Wei Ping/Fang Lei storyline left open ended...
Semi open ended IMO. I'm almost certain the lawyer will follow her given he's pretty much lost everything. Since we know how tenacious Lei is, she'd probably somehow drag him to the UK with her since she wants to make amends with what she did to HaoChen🙈
Major spoilers so you have been warned 🤫Question 1- it's all partof a misunderstanding. Yan's sole objective…
It's imaginery. Basically Yan and HM brainstorm the best way to catch the couple's attention.
Stereotypically, Barbie and Twilight are thropes considered as romantic so my guess is that's why these 2 options were plan A and B.🙈
(Some did an even deeper analysis about how Barbie reflects how fake they are but I can't recall the exact details now)
You've entered HM's loser era so fair warning you might fight some of his actions rediculous if you are too used to his polished personality. I personally enjoyed it but some did find it abit jarring 🙈
for me (male viewer perspective) the hate for ML is that he asking FL to lie again as soon as they file for divorce.…
TMAI! He definitely tried to fool himself. You can see it in the way he enjoys their small moments/ when he is alone. Did you notice how he was blissfully fixing the lamps that were later part of Yan’s birthday surprise deco? That was such a subtle clue 🙈. There are so many other similar incidents.
Even when he declared how he didn’t love her, the key was in his phrasing. She asked him if he EVER loved her. Instead of saying yes or no, he simply said that he couldn’t love her from the moment he found out she was a fraud😌 And the indirect way he kept praising her unintentionally in ep 13? Even when he was being a cruel ass, trying to hurt her feelings the way he was hurting, he still ended up indirectly calling her his ideal partner (kind of in a reverse Mr Darcy confession manner if you are familiar with Pride & Prejudice)🙈
I agree with you about rooting for them. I’ve seen way worse couples. Even at their worst, neither Yan nor HM willingly sabotaged the other.🥲

The ending- Jdrama as well as the original version🤭

Fair warning though- you will have cravings 🙈
It's low key embarrasing since I loved her character in Moving and watched Happiness just a few months ago- truly a chameleon 🙈

FL- i honestly couldn't recall the term she used.

A guy suffering from touch related PTSD meets a woman who secretly has severe social anxiety. What could go wrong?🤭
Something in their personalities and characters seem to sync- even in the BTS.
But to each their own🙃

It would have been fun to see his reaction when he found out Warm Harbour was HC🤣🤣🤣
