ep 9, the way FL's maid's eyes darted left and right in worry when FL pled her case to her father over the bet. The maid was obviously thinking if the act was going to work.
I have seen the peals on the face look in at least 2-3 other dramas. It isn't new.Personally, I really don't like…
I’ve seen it before on a smaller scale such as forehead and tips of the eyes or eyelids. Definitely not large arcs on the cheeks and neither on so many women at an event.
Ep 5, it's a first in cdrama-land to see a totally new make-up look with the pearl studded cheeks. I have to say it's rather refreshing; but on some ladies, it looks like gills. =)
This one is truly sad. I came in with an open mind without any expection and just follow the director's lead. With 10 short episodes, it's intruded my thoughts more than most dramas I've watched recently. JBR did a wonderful job here, and not bad either with the director. It's an awakening experience because it makes you reflect on making the right choices and weigh the consequences.
Guys is this worth the watch (be honest I am already mentally drained by "Simps in Love")?I am asking this question…
Yes, it's worth the watch. It actually makes me think and feel...whether it's a good feeling or not, that's a different story. There are certain circumstantial situations that question proper judgements and ethics.
What would you have done if you where ML? Would you have called the authority on Qian in ep 9? Yes, you would.
There are comments about ML making poor choices. Sometimes, there aren't good options to choose. Choice 1, get burned. Choice 2, get drowned. Choice 3, get shot.
ep. 9. So, who do you think ratted him out for taking the exam? Could it still be He Shan? So far, it seems like she hasn't done anything wrong. Could her image truly me that clean? What if she DID rat him out the first time which ruined his chance to have an education, and that's why she didn't want to rat him out the second time? Why did she report him the first time? Maybe so that he would lose his spot at the university, and she would get that spot instead? Hmmm...only 1 more ep. How would the finale be? I hope there's a good closure.
Wow!! we have confirmed date of July 6th?!?!?! So happy!!!! I love JHI so much that if I could only choose ONE show to watch for the entire 2024, it would be this show.
Each episode is so packed. Ep 8, the 0 point scene reveal is so good when EVERYONE except the father knows the true meaning of it all.
We also got a glimpse of seeing ML's bad side when he was out to mess things up for people he disliked; e.g., when he scratched out his brother's name on the test. The director did a great job in setting up the ominous tone.
I would have felt bad for the half brother and step mother, but after seeing the disposable plastic bowl and cup ML was using when he'd lived there for several years already, I have no sympathy for them.
LOVE the wild, wild west duel music chosen for the scene when the teacher and FL met the restaurant as she excused herself and walked out. It was very fitting as they draw duel it out. I've always liked the bgm's and scores used by this director.
