Ep 35, I like how HZ sits outside of the antagonist's mansion waiting for GYX while he battled within the four walls. You know she's worried, also understands he's on a mission.

When schedule is shown like this, that means there’s a 95% chance eps 36-40 will be released the day after as an express package.

Well, now that Lord Xian is dead, and the Emperor tasked YX in investigating the mastermind in puppeteering Lord Xian, it makes me wonder who could that be?!

So far, we have either seen or heard of:

2) The 1st Prince
3) The 3rd prince (I think that's his rank)
4) The Zhou
5) The Shen
6) Unknown (Not spoken of/nor spoke a line/nor have a scene yet).

Yes, but hatred aside for Eunuch Wei, the actor did a great job with this role. Even when he said "Well, burn the house down", he said it while waving his hand and finger around like an effeminate man would.😂

It's both ML and FL's real voices. I watched several of their dramas and can recognize it's their respective voices.

Wow, ep 9 was so intense and got me sitting on the edge of my seat. The little girl really deserves an award for her stellar performance. She even cried with stringy snot!! Ep. 10 was too heavy and just difficult watch. I also really appreciate the curated music and scores in the series, as well as the nicely usage of sound effects.

Ep 28, got some nice directing scenes and cuts. I enjoyed how the director shoot the scene of ML's guards overcoming Prince Xian's men at the cooking competition. Prince Xian's men were slaughtered with ease in plain sight yet discreetly, in sync with the food prep. The scene in which the single droplet of blood caught in the palm to ensure a clean kill without giving evidence away was just toooo awesome. Love this director.

Really like how observant ML is, not to mention his deduction skills are amazing.

Strangely addictive thanks to the intelligent and capable ML and the smart, little girl.

Grandfather Hua is a wise scholar with deep integrity and highly moral. Minister Hua is known in court for giving the truth straight to your face. It’s been understood that through the years his ethically correct advises are disregarded by the Emperor as they are not aligned with the Emperor’s intentions. Thus Minister Hua slowly takes a silent stance with a semblance of a tired adult parent who finally gives up on an uncontrollable and cocky teenager. The Emperor takes deep offense through Minister Hua’s silence in court over the Emperor’s ways of conducting political matters because it implicitly downplays the Emperor’s authority while indirectly makes him look like an uneducated and unvirtuous fool. Seeing Minister Hua is akin to having a constant reminder he did something wrong, so the Emperor removes Hua family from court. It is as simple as that. He simply feels offended.
