DEEP hidden pockets. This reminds me of old TVB wuxia dramas in which characters wear robes with loose, long sleeves where they would keep all kind of trinkets, scrolls, manuals, pills, and ingots that they can easily present out of the blue. Hahaha

Hehe...the mystery of fictional works have magical power in making things happen without the need to provide logical explanation. =). Someone posted here how is it that He Ran goes to Xiao Han's place many times without a bag/luggage and always somehow gets a new set of clothing the next morning.
Not strange, he is not cosplaying for the tourist crowd and the character being part Han lives up to his main…
久遠の河 ~kuwon no kawa~ is so beautiful. Her voice is angelic. Listening to it feels like I'm on a long, endless journey through deserts, seas, and mountains in search of deeper meaning; finally, the sky opens up, and angels pour through and lift me to transcendence. Thanks for sharing. I saved the link. =)
We're up to ep 11 and the show is trying to give Mr. Ji's a killer vibe and make the viewers cast doubt on him. I still believe it's just a red herring. I'm still betting my chips on someone else not shown yet. Mr. Ji's is a bit smaller physically than Hee Jae so I'm not sure if he would chase after Hee Jae in the hallway to take him down. If the killer is indeed Mr. Ji, I would be so disappointed, and have to say the director/scriptwriter did a poor job with this part of the story.
YeTan battling the masked assassin like she was playing virtual reality video game cracked me up good. The way she attacked him with all her goods and collected weapons until she ran out. POWER ==> LOW. hahahah.
Another great episode with plenty of funny scenes. Did you ladies notice the female deity doing facial with a face roller during the thunder scene? So hilarious. I really have to hand it to this creative team. They integrate so many modern day-to-day concepts. Immortal or not, all women are the same when it comes to maintaining the youthful glow. Take care of your skin. =)
I wonder if He Ran knows that they are considered as a couple per Qiang ethnic group culture when she received all those gifts and his mom's jade bracelet. It's so cute how TongTong pretty much introduced He Ran as her aunt-in-law to the villagers/neighbors.
It's called Half Time of Heart by a trio HK-based boy band named Grasshopper in the 90's. Here's a link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vQAtFsjO48
I saw Jacky live many years ago when he toured the states. I also love Anita and her robust husky voice. And of course, Jin Yong is simply God status with his wuxia. Ahhh, memories.... =)
I’m so invested in this drama that I’ve postponed watching the other two xianxia dramas currently airing right…
Yup, so many to watch. I'm so happy that there's something to watch everyday this month. Do start The Starry Love. Just put ChongZi on hold for now if you don't have enough time.
You mean Forbidden Flower in the first part? I also watched a few of The Starry Love it is hilarious - I think…
YES! Thanks again for catching that! Watch too many shows simultaneously that my fingers are typing faster than my brain can process. Correction in original post updated to reflect The Forbidden Flower. =)

Oh, if The Starry Love is one of them, I STRONGLY urge you to continue. It's sooooooo goood and funny, and creative. We're probably watching the same two xianxia's. =)

Thanks for pointing out the Canto/Mando version. I updated the links above.
The Canto-pop scene now is no longer the same as the golden era of the Heavenly Kings and Queens. Faye Wong is my all time favorite.
As for dramas, HK-drama sadly has also taken a bad hit. Most shows are almost non-watchable quality since most talents have left TVB for the Mainland's entertainment industry instead. I've long stopped watching HK-dramas except really old classics. It's good that there are some new interests in Canto/HK aspect now as you mentioned.
So in real life- Jerry and Ruo Han are 22 years apart in age. Was just curious if anyone would date someone 22…
I would. It's not about the age difference, but how much in common we have, the level of communication and understanding, our views on social and political issues and other interests. If the attraction is there as well, why would 22 years difference matters?
This drama better wins SOME KIND of international award around the globe! Otherwise, I would lose all faith in humankind for not appreciating arts and beauty. The Forbidden Flower deserves a cult following.
Hae Yi: "It's Privacy"
Name Jae Woo: "Yeah, not like FRIED chicken."
NSH: trying to save herself..."anyway"
hahahah ...please kill me. It's toooooo funny.
