did his father (xiao qinyan) really mean to kill PanEr, or did his younger brother (xiao wei) make that all up?…
I didn’t know for sure Mr, Xiao intend to kill Pan’er UNTIL I heard Xiao Wei called Pan’er ‘sister in law’ when they parted way. It wasn’t translated as such in English, but simply as Pan’er when he called her as such and said take care. In Chinese, calling someone “sis-in-law” is extending major respect to someone. At this point, I was sure Mr. Xiao intended to kill Pan’er.
The last few episodes seem rushed and some parts got edited out, so it was a bit disjointed.
How did Pan'er save GQF? How would GQF be affected if Ouyang Xu's painting was real? I feel like I missed a lot…
OuYang’s painting is real, but the Emperor doesn’t know that. Since Mr. Yang is dead, , there’s no other way to validate whether OuYang’s version is authentic or not. Using this info, Pan’er verbally changed the color of the painting to green brocade with red mounting. In flashback and passed scenes, OuYang’s version (authentic) has gold brocade and brown mounting. So now, the Emperor will question OuYang and Mr. Qi’s ultimate purpose in bringing forth this painting , which to him is a fake, just to discredit the Empress for impeachment. Hadn’t Pan’er done this, OuYang could easily claim GQF helped the Empress secretly in hiding her past, fooling the Emperor which can lead to grave punishment by death.
Right! I was like wow, two women leading big name law firms! Cool.
Given that majority of kdrama viewers are female, show producers should have done this a long time ago, but because in reality most CEOs and bosses in Asia are mostly male, I suppose the idea is a bit hard to sell. Now that it’s being done, it’s showing a positive sentiment towards women leadership! The show is a feel-good tagline, and having the lady bosses certainly adds weight to oomph!
The relationship between FL's father and the Law firm CEO still a mystery, they kind of left it off in the first…
I suspect they were college classmates in law school, and maybe they even had feelings for each other but life got in the way. I’m rooting for them because FL’s father deserves happiness , too.
The grand opening of Yong'an Restaurant was soooo good. I was so proud of our ladies and everything they've achieved…
I love He Si as part of the performing troupe. It’s so amazing to add this. Of course, in historical time, men did play women’s roles on the stage, and that’s why the 12 scholars in the audience weren’t negatively surprised or off-put by it. What’s awesome is that the director/producer went with this idea and it worked out fabulously with great humor.
Really don't want to insult anybody, but a serious question - can an autist be an attorney? Are there any irl?…
She's a savant. She could be on the spectrum/autistic, but has certain abilities that exceed the average people. In her case, she obviously has great memory and perhaps analytical skills as well. There are some well known savants who are musicians.
The last few episodes seem rushed and some parts got edited out, so it was a bit disjointed.
This drama is truly advocating for a progressive concept, not only covering autism in a professional workplace but also women empowerment.
I like it a lot!
AND more power to women collaborating behind the camera!
It’s just so satisfying to watch her works her magic -both as Pan’er and LYF.
