I love how GQF appears at the bookstore and rescues Pan’er from Mr. GAO’s indecent advances.
One should ask why he’s even there and in such a timely manner?
Since I’m a hopeless romantic, I can only imagine it’s because he understands her all too well. He knows she would most likely seek Mr. Gao out to settle business, and for her safety, he’d have to shadow her.
The comic parts are great!! They are all so funny and most parts are purposely exaggerated with in-your-face silliness.…
I hear you. Just enjoy the ML/FL part as you are now. I do that myself in many other dramas also when I couldn’t stand uninteresting sub-arcs in storyline.
Can someone explain to me what is so bad about the pariah status? When it was mentioned in the beginning, I thought…
She isn’t that bothered by her pariah status as much anymore until she finds herself falling for GQF. Her outcast status basically means almost zero chance of being his official wife due to his high status, that they can’t be matched as she’s deemed by society to be way out of his class range. Her high status was stripped due to her father’s crime (believed to be framed). She was crying not so much of her pariah status but more of the fact that it would be almost impossible for them to be together in the open as a couple. She was mourning over what would have been a beautiful relationship but could never be materialized, and this truth saddened her miserably; hence the flowing tears.
i'm on episode 13 at the moment and what really makes this drama for me is the amazing chemistry between the two…

I don’t care for Ouyang either, and to be honest, I simply can’t wait for GQF to crush this bug.
Reading y’all comments and laughing like a crazy person … this is the joy of a good drama and good commentary…
Awesome!! Laugh while watching the show and then come here to read the comments and laugh some more. What a win-win! What’s to lose?! So therapeutic…I can cancel my June sessions with the shrink. 🤪
During the tea challenge in ep 16, GQF gets to see Pan’er from outside the audience circle. It’s one of my many crazed-over scenes by the director/scriptwriter.
He’s never seen her true ability as a tea connoisseur at a master level of everything tea related.Up until then, he’d probably thought she knows enough about tea to run a tea house with a strong business acumen and is trained on serving tea with some feminine spins. At the challenge, she proves herself highly skilled in tea arts, and he’s enchanted. GQF is falling deeper with our Pan’er’s essence with each passing day !! 😛🤭
Sorry, I’m just too excited I have to lay a claim on Pan’er as OUR beloved heroine.
OMG!! Ep 15 & 16 are sooooo amazing!!! Throughout the entire 2 hours, I was smiling, and funnily enough , feel PROUD of our Pan’er at the same time!
She’s so clever and wholesome.
This drama is going to be one of my top favorites of all time. There is so much to praise about it that I don’t know where to start anymore. Such a heartwarming and feel-good show.
We all love the cute scene where GQF head rolled on the column. Yes, he’s a great actor because he even added the lip-biting, smile suppressing, eyes rolling act to show how smitten he was with Pan’er. How adorable is that from the Little Devil whose name alone strikes fear among the common people? Too adorable…
can anyone tell me a few good points about the drama ( that i can look forward to while watching it ) . first…
So many positive things to say about the drama. Just to name a few right off my head: strong and smart FL, nice scenery, authentic settings, soothing color grading, beautiful costumes, enjoyable storyline, women empowerment, slight humor, wise ML, SIZZLING chemistry, great acting, awesome directing, and it makes you root for the pair!! 😀

Yes, GQF is one to keep!

(In invisible ink that only lovers of ep 16 have the ability to see the PS below).

My mom would be so disappointed in me for not showing proper manner and etiquette on MDL. 😱Oh well… 😀
