@eidisi All the legendary golden era martial artist choreographers are retired. I guess unless it's a really big budget movie/drama, an in-depth martial artist advisor won't be part of the team these days. That's why I feel Li Mu Ge is doing a decent job with the fight scenes by changing the style of fighting compared to traditional wuxia of the 80/90's.

Wow, the cinematography is awesome, and I appreciate it even more in ep 3 face off scenes at PoBanMen. I really enjoy the novelty of how the director shot the battle of inner strength/qi part.

Interesting that you mentioned Ren YingYing because I was feeling the same thing. Just finished ep 2 and feel like so far the story borrows a little of everything from all the golden wuxia classics; but that's ok as it's jianghu and it's always pretty much the same things anyways. Just hope it's well directed and the storyline is good.

First 6 minutes may just be an event on the story timeline for time referencing. If anything, the director is making me more curious of the whole journey and what happened that led to the first 6 minutes.

She was cheating on him. The baby wasn’t his. The father was the other colleague standing next to her by the pool table when You Qi went to confront her bf at the company’s party. It was mentioned in one episode they were seen shopping for baby/maternity clothes together as a reveal.

It was his plan to break up with her. He planned ahead for her to find out that he was cheating so that she initiated the breakup. This way, it made him look nicer. It was mentioned in one of the episodes.

I agree with you that she probably has first hand exposure to PE, and you’re right about this topic not covered in Kdramas. Most employed strategy in Kdramas for corporate world is a hostile takeover, and trying to get 51% equity.

I’m impressed too with the writer’s knowledge of private equity and venture capital. The translation was succinct in conveying the business and investment concept without being too convoluted.

That’s why I never really go by MDL’s rating. Anything that’s over 7.5 could still be a very good show from my experience.

MDL ‘s viewer database is probably skewed; and then there’s the small number of viewers for this drama to consider as well.

I noticed that, too. So adorable and not one bit of his old arrogance. He posed it in such a sweet way, like he would be lucky to have her instead of the other way around.

Second half of the final episode is so awesome! I couldn’t stop clapping and laughing, especially at the company anniversary’s party when everyone has an announcement. What a great closure to the show by bringing joy and laughter.

I love Kenny from Princess Agents. To Love further solidifies his position on my top favorites/list of actors. Now with Master of my Own, he’s pretty much sealed the deal for me. :) I’m so glad he’s casted in Master of my Own.

I watched this series when it was airing. I remember having to wait for new episodes and the suspense was intense because most episodes ended with a cliffhanger or hook. I guess perhaps that why I like To Love because it was a great show with a memorable experience . If possible, try again without skipping or reading spoiler. It’s a sleeper hit to me, but may not be popular to the mass population because it’s a bit on darker side.

Midway in your initial post to me , you stated “learn to pronounce “ after the word sophisticated. Unless I’m misinterpreting, your intention sounded exactly as it’s written.

I don’t have to Google words to use. These words are in my vocabulary. Just because my writing style is different from yours, it doesn’t mean I’m googling for vocabularies. What I DID Google here was the link to the additional usage and definition for your reference.

Not sure why you’re telling me to learn how to pronounce sophisticated. I can enunciate it clearly. However, what I find more important when learning a new word is definition, not pronunciation.

The word sophisticated has many meanings; the one you posted above having to do with fashion is probably the most basic definition and widely used. My intended use of the sophisticated isn’t related to fashion, but to mean something along the line of “intelligent, knowing, not naive”.

From the Cambridge Dictionary under the “intermediate English” section - it defines sophisticated as:

“having an understanding of the world and its ways, so that you are not easily fooled, and having an understanding of people and ideas without making them seem simple:
Eg. Sophisticated readers understood the book’s hidden meaning.”

I have no preference to the sequence of romance as long as the story is well directed, nicely written, and greatly performed by the actors. 😀

I love Seven and Lin Geng Xin. Seven sold me in Under The Power. I became a fan to both leads in that show. Go Ahead and Sword and the Brocade are good too but I skipped around a bit. The rest, like you, I didn’t finish. Geng xin’s To Love is great. It may got renamed recently.
