i was actually saving this drama until im ready mentally and emotionally because of the enticing summary - doctor who kills for revenge, but instead i was caught into a I Can Hear Your Voice slash Doctor Stranger drama. It's a doctor with superhuman ability who seeks revenge the old Kdrama fashionway with the help of the female lead. Don't get misled with the summary expecting the MC in a killing spree. If you want to see a doctor who actually kills for revenge go watch Alice No Tage (JDrama) . 9 high rating for the impressive OR/surgery scenes - the most detailed in any KDrama ive seen to date.
i was drawn and got trapped by the eye candy casts. if not for the casts i wont be able to finish this. good thing its a web drama, 30mins x 15 ep is tolerable. It does stays true to its business tag, but the romance part is lacking, either gay or straight, there is like 5% romance and 95% business. 6.5/10
Yonekura Ryoko fans will definitely enjoy this one. For a change she was holding a gun here instead of a scalpel ^^ I was surprised that she can actually pull off an action drama. Tho there is minimal fight scenes, it was enough to showcase her versatility as an actress. Highly recommended 8.5/10
i wish it wont take long for season 2, this clearly needs continuation. still thankful that didn't end in major cliffhanger or else i will really lose it. One of the the few BL mini series that was technically well made, production and acting wise. The plot is really light and both MCs were able to pull off decent action scenes. 8/10
this is a surprise. watched it with no expectations. im happy that it was well made technically and actors doesnt feel amateur (but far from excellent of course) at all. I mean it was decent and enjoyable. I appreciate that actors here were not over the top gorgeus or idol material but very ordinary looking which made it closer to reality.
the only local drama that i was able to watch the last episode the same time it was airing. the ending was meh , im a big kathniel fan and this is a let down. it felt so rushed!!! and the battle/fight scene was poorly done. :( i was expecting bigger. how i missed angel, it could have been a better ending if angel was there :(
so much feels! very well made technically for a mini series. it will leave you with the feeling of wanting more but at the same time completely satisfied. highly recommended 10/10
this is my second chinese medical drama, the first one was 36 on call. Although the title is Surgeons, it did not quench my thirst for ER/OR dramas. Its like 30% medical then 70% melodrama. I was not also satisfied on how they ended it, with just narration of how the main plot was resolved. 36 on call is way enjoyable for me. 7.5/10
The most awkward pairing ive seen TT. i really want to enjoy this but the Male Lead (Park Shin Yang) acting is putting me off. It's my second time seing him in drama, the first one was in Sign (medical drama), in both drama his acting was over the top. I thought it was just his character his portraying but he shows the same kind of the acting in both drama TT . I do commend the female lead (Moon Geun Young) for being the most believable girl posing as a boy. The romance between the two leads felt so forced and I cringe in every scene that implies sexual tension between them. I shipped the female lead so bad to her foster brother (Lee Jun). Their chemistry is undeniable. The female lead looks so convincing as a boy that I actually wish for her to turn gay and end up with the gisaeng (Moon Chae Won) who fell in love with her ^^
I think 20 episode is too long for this, i skipped a lot of scenes toward the end for it feels dragging already. If you wish to watch a more interesting take on this certain timeline in Joseon history, better watch YiSan. Both dramas have something to do with the arts (painting) and the mystery of the death of Prince Sado.
the plot is interesting and something new. actors were actually good and doest feel like newbies or amateurs at all. editing is bad and all over the place. didnt really feel the chemistry with the lead pair
started this with no expectation. brilliantly written. one of those unusual characters for the lead. I can say that the writers were successful making me feel the dilemma the characters were experiencing. One lead is living for revenge and other lead who hides a dark past. the psychological war between the lead were amazing.
edit: if you find 20 episode drama too long, you can watch the jdrama adaptation - Maou. Ive seen half of the jdrama and it pretty follows closely to this drama but much shorter.
my rating is a little bias since Daimon Sensei is one of my favorite tv character. She just never gets old! I will never get tired watching this show. hoping for another season. perhaps a crossover with Team Dragon? that will be epic ^^
first half were really really really good. one of those drama that you must not take your eyes off or you will miss something. i swear, its so hard for me to check my phone while watching this and if do, i have to go back to the scenes that i miss or i'll end up lost AF. Only thing that puts me off in this drama is that 16 episodes were spend for a single plot. i am used to watching law/detectives drama to be semi episodic. I nearly lost my interest at the middle. Still kudos to the writers for the meticulous storytelling and fresh lead characters. 8/10
