I keep seeing rumors that this is going to be cut to 30 episodes, but no articles. If anyone finds one, please…
It's awesome to hear someone more interested in Soon Jin than in Soon Jung, because I totally share that opinion - and it's just not my Jang Shin Young bias talking. Soon Jin is much more than the "doormat" (ugh, I hate that word) that some viewers claim she is. She got into the marriage because it was a necessity. She had nowhere to go but to desperately try to find a solution to her life and her sisters'. So I don't blame her for getting married like that. I'm excited to see what's in store for her. She seems to realize now how much of a monster he is and her character is changing. Soon Jung stills acts too immature, Nam Bo Ra keeps overacting so much. You know, I don't really mind the Pil Mo pairing, despite the age gap. Doesn't bother too much, except if only they made her more mature and sharp. Despite Nam Bo Ra looking younger than 25, making act like a teenager makes it worse. I'm not feeling the other dude, though. So far, he's just a goodie-goodie who tries to hide his rich status and that just screams lack of depth to me. Although, I am VERY curious about his sister.
The drama is getting better among its own mess status, but somehow I don't want to go much further than 28-30 episodes. Seems perfect to make Soon Jin and Soon Jung fight for their happiness, to maybe redeem Woon Tak? Though I think he's not getting back with Soon Jin after everything he's pulled, despite thinking the majority of his feelings for her are real (in his twisted way). I like how they've made Eun Bi more likeable after the time jump. It eases the Cheon family, since Geum Bi and the mother are hopeless. Secretary Goo is perhaps my favourite character overall. He's mysterious, but trustworthy. If he has a thing with Soon Jin later on or not, I'm not too hopeful. I think she should focus on her own life first.
Well, I agree with you also regarding Soon Soo. She'll probably lose all the relevance she has and consequently, her co-star will too. Which is unfortunate, but at least it'll go even faster and straight to the point.
All in all, I want Soon Jung to grow up, fight for her business and to not have an annoying love triangle in her life. I want the coming and going of characters to stop and to the writing to focus more on Soon Jin/Secretary Goo/Woon Tak (but not in a triagle-y way either).
I'm actually not watching this drama :D I just saved the links for later and linked you in case you wanted the subs. But I heard good things. I think Asadoras in general aren't too tragic, but I haven't seen one til the end. Are you thinking about watching?
The kid kind of represents another demon that Risa created. She always put her career first, neglecting her role in her son's life. He grew up hating and acting cold towards her, and that's all her fault (in his eyes, too).
Just like she eventually created a demon in Yuki, she had another one long before that, at home. Not excusing the kid's behaviour, but in Risa's world, she keeps creating & dealing with demons, mostly due to her obsession with staying relevant, famous and respected. Her mother, son and then Yuki.
actually I wonder if it was Ho Goo that whom Kang Cheol kissed .. it was probably his twin Ho keyoung who looked…
Yes, I agree. He thought he was kissing Ho Goo, but it was actually Ho Kyung dressed as a boy - which she used to do in high school. She was also dressed as so when his car almost ran her over and the driver said "he" almost lost his balls.
Of course, he can also actually be gay and in love with Ho Goo for all we know, but at the same time this is probably a trope borrowed from the genderbender genre, when the dude's in love with a boy but it's actually a girl crossdressing.
http://www.hancinema.net/kim-hyeong-gyoo-i-to-star-in-my-heart-shines-78750.html my heart beating so fast is he…
Knowing the coming and going of characters in this drama, he's probably playing a supporting one. Soon Jung already has two guys in a supposed love triangle and now there's another one who 'helps her'. Confusing to say the least.
I think Doo Soo is too passive, which is why he wasn't going to end up with anyone unless he's aggressively pursued,…
Yeah, I think that's his way of dealing with someone he has even the slight interest: he's possessive, protective, etc. His relationship with Se Ro is different than the one he had with Hong Do, so maybe Se Ro will 'tame' him better.
The relationship between Doo Soo and Se Ro is actually what I'm most curious about. It's not certain it'll work; there's no Definitive Happy Ending. Like you said, if he's too passive, even if she pursues him like she's been doing, there's no certainty they'll happen for real. Which would disappoint me but that's just the shipper in me talking.
Like I've said to one of my friends here on the feeds, this drama's nice but it lacks an epic feel to it. Maybe as the events start to develop, it'll get better. Hopefully. I love the cast. I started this for darling Oh Yeon Seo, but Jang Hyuk's always great too. Lee Honey is channeling some Lady Mishil, isn't she? Can't wait to see more, as well.
Thank you for your article and for bringing more attention to this drama :)
Anyone know where to find the eng subs for episode 5 & up? It seems like no one is subbing this drama anymore…
Episode 5 is now at 100%, so those are probably complete now. Check Viki first to see if the subs are done for a specific episode. If they're not, then the .srt around the web are incomplete.

They are claiming she has health issues but I truly think it's because of her swearing controversy.

Also makes me wish Punch had been planned for 16 episodes too. The plot would have been less 'back and forth' and perhaps even faster.
