I keep thinking about this mess and the phonecall scene, and do you guys think Jerry being there might have an influence in Jung Hee's behaviour? Do you think he might go tell her (or it'll just be known) that YD was faking the whole thing, thus making JH confront him?
Maybe that's not the biggest of our worries, but I really wanted JH to confront YD about it, and be the JH we know since EP1. I think I would have felt better in the end :/
"and a female lead is expected to engage in a love triangle with the two male stars"
Yawn.
Why? Whyyyyyyy.
Can we just have another female lead who isn't a bitchy backstabbing girl to pair up with one of the boys and have two fun and awesome pairings instead of a triangle? Please?
i havent really liked Jung Hee's character. after her kidnapping at least i know it's not the actress, she just…
There was nothing wrong with the character until the writer decided to make her the typical one dimensional damsel in distress stuck in a dumb love triangle just to cater to man pain and create an equally stupid love square with another female character that's basically one dimensional too.
Somebody better explain to Jung Hee soon that Young Dal said those things to keep the kidnappers from harming…
Disappointing is truly the key word for episode 18. The kidnapping storyline could have been done so much better.
Jung Hee waited for him for one year, she trusted him; I understand she went through a LOT (which the drama didn't bother addressing - her feelings) but not taking the opportunity to ask him what the heck he was doing and WHY, it's just to drag the stupid triangle, make Yang Ha the hero and give the new girl something to do.

Yeah. And the writer totally dumb'ed her down to make it work, because 'normal' Jung Hee would of, at least, asked him what was going on instead of ignoring him like that.
I don't like where this is going with the new female character. Why create a love square so late in the game? Young Dal and Jung Hee already have enough angst, we don't need another girl to stand between them. They could make Young Dal get back at Yang Ha in various other ways. Plus, we need to focus on the brother's storyline, not on some cheap misunderstandings.
All this emotional turmoil is doing nothing for me because I feel we started the story in episode 10. I don't feel anything for these characters or the events.
Knowing this comes from the writer of East of Eden, a drama that had such a good background setting, this is kind of disappointing.
I promised myself I wouldn't venture into another melodrama after Angel Eyes, but omg this is looking kinda worthy for me to check out. Let's hope it's entertaining and not too bad ;)

She was doing fine until ep18, imo.

Looks like an interesting set up.
That's why I never feel bad endings are -totally- bad. They can't be worse than this.
