It’s silly, it’s ultra cheese, it’s a hot mess and it’s just what it always set itself up to be, a tropey rom-com. I really don’t mind it at all. It’s not trying to be anything else nor is it too intelligent to get too deep about. It’s just fun and ultra cheese. So go into with only that expectation only. Do I wish these two actors had more to work with. Absolutely, I really like the pairing and there was definitely potential in these two doing something serious and hard-hitting. But it’s okay. Enjoyment that ain’t deep has its own place.
It drags and yawns and falters and bores. Could’ve been 8 episodes only. It has all the tropes. Nothing original nor surprising. Nothing to see here. Now we wait for Made in Korea 🤷🏻♀️
If I wanna see Bae Suzy beauty shots I will go to her instagram. Girl can’t act. It’s the 5th thing I am watching her in and I always come away with the same sense of frustration: a pastiche of beauty shots and that’s it.
Bae Suzy cannot act. Girl gives nothing. Just beauty shots. Every time I see one of her shows which is hyped up till the seven skies and I come away thinking - she just can’t act. Why are we hiring for an acting job someone who can just at best model?!
Lately, I’m noticing writing being the weakest point in K dramas. The production quality and acting are all good but the writing is just meh. Also the guy got shot at close range and then he is getting up from bed and falling over things. That’s just not possible for gun shot victims
1-5 were great. 6 was an aimless attempt to wrap up an otherwise promising story. I have to say A Rin needs to do more acting jobs. She is captivating in her vulnerability.
This was a fun flick. Tight storytelling, moves well and onwards. Not a dull moment. I think the pacing was just right. Top notch acting. Gritty, disturbing at times, as it’s meant to be. Is it predictable? Yes. But who cares. I mean, anyone who has watched 200+ movies in their life will find almost anything predictable. KHN delivers the role of a charming unlikeable guy to the tee.

My second point about ML not getting nor even requesting access to his niece’s phone records is based on him being the only guardian to her. Because he’s kin he can request her data. Not only in the capacity of the case officer but also in the capacity of her legal guardian. She’s a minor anyway. The case doesn’t need to be active or closed by the LEA for a blood relative to request for forensics.
Does not bore. Keeps you engaged. Really enjoying this one. Some things are questionable about the plot like …

Isn’t that first thing in such cases. Especially in Korea where suicide prevention / risk is something of a hot topic. 3. The bully girl has been missing for ages and no one in the police is looking for her Where are her parents ? Even if no one has reported her missing - she was identified as the bully in the supposed suicide case. Why is no one curious about her whereabouts? 4. So many people related to the school are caught up in this wave of controversy. The school board / police no one is curious as to why this school is the ground zero for so many deaths/scandals. 5. The language teacher died after his picture was posted online. Again no one checked his phone records to see if he was getting threats/extortion etc. 6. Again the girl with whom the teacher had an affair is missing. Her picture was spread online. Why is no one looking for her whereabouts.
