Okay I will watch it for the man Jang Hyuk. However, I must say, Lee Hyun Wook’s hair looks off. It looks so obviously modern. Sigh! Anyway, is it a hill to die on when you have a potential epic novel style sageuk to watch ? Not really. Let’s hope it’s done right. So far, my favourite sageuk has been My Country. Apart from some post production choices in the editing room, the drama was perfection. And it also starred Jang Hyuk as Bangwon. 🤌🏻

Take your meds already. Your parasocial disturbia psychosis is ripping you at the seams. Go now, reach for those pills and calm down. And…next time, take that dosage before coming online.

I agree. It’s boring. Trying to be whiter than Caucasians, dying their hair in an orange/ reddish or dirty blonde hue and getting European like jawlines and cheekbones and noses. There is absolutely no need. I am surrounded by Korean and Asian diaspora where I am and they look beautiful without the work done. This ethnic look works for him. Ethnic is always better and beautiful. That’s beauty direct from the Lord’s hand. The Best hand. I don’t know about women gravitating to Eunwoo. As a professional cineast, i have said it and I will repeat, that guy cannot act. Cha Eunwoo CANNOT act. 😅 The squinting of the eyes and the pouting he does is not acting. So whatever the females are gravitating to is not acting talent for sure. It is whatever it is. Woo Do Hwan changes his look as much as he can for every character, while also giving his all in terms of acting. Does diverse roles. Has done more than just the Chaebol in love.

😊 hot, perhaps that’s the heartthrob factor women gravitate to. I appreciate the fact that he still looks like an ethnic Korean. And hasn’t undergone that monolid surgery which is 90% of the industry. He looks like less cosmetic (Botox and getting your teeth fixed I don’t consider cosmetic). I find that extremely unnerving while watching k-content. He seems ethnic and that works well for him.

I can’t wait for this one. Woo Do Hwan has held his own spectacularly with a stacked senior cast. He is the most interesting, nuanced, naturally talented actor in the younger Korean lot while also being extremely well guarded about his personal life and image. He’s making intelligent project choices which reflect his range. But I wish he’d make more grittier ones. Ones that terrify him. I once interviewed a very senior actor, much accolades to his name and I asked him what keeps you going. What makes you still wanna keep adding projects to your already illustrious filmography and he said simply “I’m a storyteller. I have an urge for it. I play a small part in that whole process. But I need to be terrified about putting together a character. I want that challenge of building a person unknown to me”. And when he said that I totally got it. It’s the same for every profession; the best things come from taking challenges that are out of your depth. I see Woo Do Hwan having all the right ingredients. He just needs to make grittier more unconventional choices now.

It’s giving me Mr. sunshine vibes. And I’m totally in. It’s nice to see Youjung in a period piece aside from Saeguks. For her age, she’s one of the most interesting actors. I haven’t enjoyed her recent works. But I understand why she made those choices and I personally think she did her best with what she got. An actor cannot cover for the writing failures and/or director’s misadventures. She’s a promising young woman.

The girl: “Eun Bongi, you have a brain” 🤡 “use your brain”. And proceeds not to use it.

🙄😒

What a stupid person we are being sold to take seriously. Double black belt in taekwondo and a barred lawyer. That’s what we have to believe as important data points about her. 🙄

Can she leave the guy alone for a bit - let him catch his breath just a little. She lives in house, works in his house. Let him be by himself for a minute, girl. God! She’s insufferable

How convenient to have a childhood connection 😒 how convenient to have your parents memorialised in the same columbariums. It’s a drama of convenience. The girl keeps staying at her boss’s place for convenience. The bad guy has also found work with them. The mother in law’s work at the same pizza joint (one as an owner, the other as a service representative). How very convenient.
