My theory is, I think Baek KiTae will kill his brother either by mistake or deliberately or he will be the cause of his brother’s death indirectly. I have a feeling about this 🙊
Also, I just have to say… Dohwan Woo holds his own beautifully with such senior actors. He is unmissable in season 1. Although his screen time probably in all of s1 is hardly 30 minutes max. But he holds his own with such gravitas. His character didn’t have much lines in S1 but you couldn’t miss a single inflection of his inner conflict from the moment he comes on screen in episode 2. This guy is the best among his peers. Since 2017, he has added variety in his filmography and shown range in his acting. Among his peers he makes the most effort in changing his look for a role and also tries different things. And with the discipline he has shown with Bloodhounds S1+S2 over the course of just 3 years (a tough feat to achieve considering the amount of physical pre-work it requires not just to get in shape but to learn the action choreography and then do it in hundreds of takes before the director makes up his mind if they’ve got all or “the” take that’s needed). This guy is a beast. And I feel very proud of him that he’s getting to work with serious actors and with serious scripts and filmmakers. I would really like for him to just keep making intelligent project choices and not get roped into a typecast hole.
Anyway, this is gonna be good. Looking forward to it. I think this one will eat. 🤓
I have a list titled “In my eyes, can do no wrong”. There are few people on that list. From Korea it will be Park Min Young, IU, Kim TaeRi, Woo Do Hwan, Lee Byung Hun…and there is …
Ji Chang Wook. This guy can do no wrong in my eyes. Even if the script is shit, or the plot is dragging or the direction feels sloppy or the co-actors and screen partners feel half-assed, this guy is always giving his everything. He works so hard.
Not only is she fantasizing about her boss and having hot flashes on the job. She is telling her mom proudly how she has the hots for him and getting all teary eyed cos of yearning.
While the mother gushes at her daughter's idiocy in an encouraging way. Geeez!
Growing up around lawyers, I always heard this repeated over and over and over again "Loose tongues lose cases" (a legal spin on loose tongues sink ships).
However, in this show, this insufferable big baby of a grown-ass qualifed bar associated lawyer girl keeps getting drunk and baby talking, or just aegyoing and babbling randomly. Talking at the top of her lungs about cases and clients in corridors and public spaces.
And when she ain't doing that, she's tripping, falling, stumbling, trembling all over the ML. pouting and bobbing her head so her pony swings sideways like a pendulum for the ingenue visual.
I just can't stand infantalized women in Korean culture. I swear to the God who holds my life, it’s so unnerving and unsettling.
But Jang Gun Yeong (Jung Woo Sung's character) was arrested at the end of season 1. We saw the arrest was public,…
You know what, you have a great point. I love this forum when intelligent viewers discuss shows with interesting insights, intelligently and creatively. And not through oppa worship syndrome. Makes it so enjoyable to interact.
The girl is insufferable. She’s a qualified lawyer, licensed by the bar association and she speaks with an infantile affectation, sticking her lower lip out and almost faking a baby babble, using two hands to drink water 🙄 (bitch are you 3?!!) and switching it up with aegyo. How and why do grown Korean men want their women to do aegyo or talk like tweety ? I just don’t get it. If my girl talked like that, we’d have a serious talk about it. It’s brain damage adjacent. 😒
In the Season 2 poster where Jung Woo Sung is holding a gun, it feels out of place. Prosecutors aren’t allowed firearms. Not in my country for sure. 😒I googled to check if this was the case in 70s Korea and it came back with the result I was expecting. Prosecutors aren’t armed officials. Weird. But maybe I’m reading too much into it. Maybe it’s a foreshadowing of the Prosecutor’s moral and/or ethical breakdown. He was always a slightly grey character anyway. Firm in conviction, but grey in his methods.
i watch episode 1 and dont understand so I drop it. I dont understand why there is a need for season 2.
My advice for you is- before starting MIK season one and episode 1, watch Good News. I think it’s an important starter to get an idea about the era MIK is based in and what events it covers. I watched the movie Good News before I started MIK. And let me say, first of all, it’s hilarious and damn funny and so good. The way they have exaggerated the humour in the absurd real life events for comedy is fantastic. It’s so well done. But then when I started MIK episode 1, I swam through it with a smile on my face without any confusion. This tip is only for episode 1. Once you’re done with episode one you will have settled in nicely for the remaining 5 episodes. This is just a tip. But maybe political thriller / period drama isn’t your thing.
I am flabbergasted at the audacity of the writer and the director of this show. 😂 I want to be this confident where I get funding from a production house for such a half-assed work and then am able to hire Namkoong Min on the project and then I’m able to sell it to Disney. It makes me think back on all the times I put together a project overview and overthought it to the point of scrapping it before it ever saw the light of day.
Here’s a lesson kids (in the content and programming industry), aim high and far, even if you have AI slop as your script and a complete novice to lead the charge. Who knows, you might be able to hire an actor who is of the same calibre as Namkoong Min. 😃🤓
A surgeon just ruined his hand with a severe injury. And he’s now going to perform a procedure on his wife? Another world record.
Surgeons generally must not perform surgery if they have open, weeping, or unhealed wounds on their hands. Broken skin compromises the sterile barrier, increases the risk of shedding dangerous bacteria into the surgical field, and exposes the surgeon to patient bloodborne pathogens.
Apart from the incompetence of the cops, this show is also about spinal cord surgery world records. 😂😂😂 the time it takes for Kang Taejo to complete this surgery successfully is less than the time it takes for breast implant surgery 🤡
This girl babbles “ne, ne,ne” like a broken record 🙄
Girl! Grow up 😒
