EP 28!!

I'm really trying my hardest to get into this drama but it's been so hard...I think I'm going to drop it and I'm on ep 11

Some of my major complaints:

1. FL and ML have 0 chemistry. It seems like she has more chemistry with almost every other character than with her shifu. I'm rooting for her and Chu BuFu, haha

2. Unreasonable plot. Motive and plot seems forced sometimes and isn't convincing enough for the characters to make certain choices (ex: when FL decides she doesn't want to go back w/ML because of her promise; Keran refusing Wan Jie a million times and then randomly is like okay I'll follow you back)

3. ML's acting is FLAT. It seems like he only has one facial expression when his character is supposed to be different than the typical emotionless ML...

Having Yang Chao Yue as the FL makes me nervous....how is the acting so far?

Yes, I saw in a previous post that it was written that way in the novel

I actually appreciate that Lan Jue and Zhang Ping failed to stop Shulin from exacting his revenge. If they had done it the "right" way, the Empress Dowager would have gotten off too light, and her crimes would still be hidden.

I have a huge soft spot for Shulin and when the baby left his arms at the end...it crushed me. It was as if the one person who could understand his pain cause the baby was "abandoned" as well, was taken away from him. My poor Shulin...

Not sure if you heard about the craziness with CFY today...but Immortality might be forever buried....:cry:

I first saw Wang Duo in Bloody Romance (didn't finish the drama cause the main couple wasn't really my taste) but loved his aura / acting / unique look. So happy to see him back in dramaland! For some reason, I'm always so drawn to him even when his character's auras are so sinister

Production quality is 100000%. I wonder if they're hoping it'll blow up and come to Netflix. Also this is giving me Sherlock Holmes vibes

Loving this series so much! It's definitely a breath of fresh air as compared to some of the other dramas I've watched in recent years. I also love how everyone gets to level up and it's not just the ML who has to save the world by himself.

Yes LLTG is good but it's good on different level. I would say something similar to this is Love and Redemption

I would recommend Love and Redemption and Ashes of Love. As much as I love the main leads for Immortal Samsara, it's been a bit lacking tbh
