The writers of this drama are geniuses. Just the right enough amount of angst, drama, and comedy! The timing and pacing has been top notch. I haven't enjoyed a drama this much in awhile!
Loving the drama so far but totally am not understanding why mom is being ridiculous?! It makes me so sad every time she holds the cousin's hand or buys her a hair piece....and FL is just staring...or not looking...
Came here after watching Ren Jia Lun's other dramas and was missing him a bit. Drama started off okay and I really love the bromance between GC and XRC. Sadly, I really couldn't get onboard with the FL's acting. It seemed like she only had one facial expression which was a big smile and that was her reaction to everything. Also am on ep 28 and not sure if I can keep going with this drama. Seems to be dragging a lot for no reason.
He followed the surname of his mother Zhousheng, when as a child he decided to leave the palace and vowed never…
His uncle has already passed but ZSC changed his own title to βLittle Prince of Nanchenβ to show that he will always be a subject and is not going to rebel
Another thought: I thought one of the main points of the show was to break the stigma of immortals and spirits falling in love, hence the scene where they matched different species of the jade etc. itβs a bit weird that she became the same as him which kind of defeats the whole purpose
Why did they both become mer-people...was it a dream or was it real??
Haha I'm going through all the Weibo posts and there's a hashtag that's going around that says "all characters have HEβ οΌHE meaning happy ending). Though there are some posts that are making fun of the whole JYH transformation from Immortal > Half immortal/half 9 tail fox > 9 tail fox > mermaid and since its her, she can do whatever she wants π π π π

I hope so! From RJL's Weibo goodbye post he said that "from the sea Changyi came, and to the sea he goes back" so it seems real?! I really hope so, though the whole pearl turns her into a mermaid thing seems a bit stretching it from my point of view haha

I need to rewatch it a couple of times I think to figure it out more, but I think your explanation is a good possibility. But MEH not the ending I was hoping for. I felt like all the other couples had better endings that were clear cut. Plus, I think this "I'll sacrifice myself for everyone" trope over and over again was making it less impactful each time and I got tired of it by the end.
