It was cute but severely lacking in depth. You can still be short and filling (Wish You, WYEL for examples) but this one just felt short and needed more development overall. Although there were some heart fluttering scenes I didn’t feel that strong of a romantic connection between the two leads. I don’t think the acting is fully to blame though I just think the characters needed more time. And as much I as loved JES I don’t think his character was needed in this, at least story wise.
Hopefully the movie with some newly added scenes and better fluidity can help make the story and romance feel more organic.
A very fitting title for the drama. The confusion didn’t end until the last episode lol. I liked the love square (although there are actually 4 couples that the drama focuses on) but it did frustrate me how long it took for all of them to admit their feelings once they knew for sure who they were really in love with. I would say there really isn’t a main couple until the end but it’s easy to tell who ends up with who.
Both couples had good chemistry and all of the actors played their parts well but Nine was just extra charming. My favorite scenes in the drama are actually of him crying since he does it well. It’ll pull on your heartstrings for sure. Shoutout to the “monkey” and “aunt” couple, they were really cute too (sometimes you just need some comic relief haha).
I also really liked the zoo setting. It was really fun seeing all of those cute animals and fishies (although the bear scene still cracks me up haha).
I liked the beach setting and the couples were cute but it lost a lot of steam towards the end.. It started to drag and focused too much on the villain shenanigans. The mom, Korn and cop were terrible people but I did feel bad for them albeit only a little, they just reached the point of no return I guess. Without giving anything away I did feel some characters didn’t deserve what they got especially when they were just victims themselves. Overall, it’s watchable but don’t feel bad if you have to use the fast forward button.
Amazing from start to finish. The story was well written and the interweaving between the present and past was well done. Opal was an awesome heroine probably one of my favorites. She was feisty, spunky and kicked some serious ass. Loved that she didn’t get tied down by the patriarchy in the past and always did her own thing.
She was really cute with the doctor too. I liked the past couple a little more probably because they got more screen time and development but they present couple were cute too. I was definitely rooting for everyone in the end.
I think the time travel was done well too. Not going to say too much about it but I’m glad it turned out how it turned out. It made me laugh and cry a lot and I miss all the characters already. Hoping it gets a second season with the couples swapping eras.
I think Pon was very charismatic in this but to me his character crossed the line way too many times. There came a point when I couldn’t forgive him anymore...Although I’m happy it’s a happy ending for everyone, I felt like he didn’t do enough to make up for the hurt he caused everyone. I liked that the FL had a backbone and didn’t take (most) of his shit. It takes a lot to put up with someone who’s so hellbent on revenge. They did have good chemistry together just don’t know if it made up for everything.
My favorite character was Katha because he was the only friend who wasn’t selfish. He tried to help everyone, didn’t pick sides and always called people out on their bs. A true friend.
It’s cute so far but it does seem to be lower in production value. It also starts with little to no set up so it can be a bit jarring.
In Soo is not the best actor but he is adorable in some of his scenes like when he gets nervous in bed... Se Jin looks the part but they could have done something more with his voice (similar to Tale of Nokdu).
I do think they have cute chemistry so far (the measuring scene is cute) and the music is good as usual. Definitely wish it was longer but we’ll have to see how the next couple of episodes go.
It was cute but a little too long, could have used some trimming. The FL was super bratty and annoying in the earlier episodes but she gets a lot better after episode 5 or so. Despite being an ass at times Mark manages to make the ML extremely likable. The reverse cat and mouse chase between the two leads was pretty interesting too.
This BL is one of a kind and totally refreshing. The setting is a nice change from all of the campus dramas (please…
Also, I don’t see why we need to compare and claim that one BL is better than another or vice versa. The genre itself is already so scarce we should all just appreciate everything on its own. Ratings are subjective at the end of the day. The way I see it the more high quality BLs that come out the better (no matter the country).
This BL is one of a kind and totally refreshing. The setting is a nice change from all of the campus dramas (please mix it up soon). Earth and Mix were smoldering together yet they felt more like a slow burning candle than a giant flame...which I absolutely loved. Slow burn for the win! It just makes very thing more satisfying in the end.
My only complaints were the lack of character development for Earth’s character and excessive product placement (it was too obvious at times lol) but overall based on story, music, romance and chemistry it definitely ranks as my #1 Thai BL.
My only gripe with this drama is the dragging due to misunderstandings. If everyone had just communicated with each other everything would have fixed itself...but then again there would be no drama without drama I guess.
I also wasn’t a fan of how the ML treated the FL in the beginning but I do appreciate how the FL actually stood up for herself instead of just crying and moping around. Despite it all they did have amazing chemistry together so it made it easy to forgive and to root for them.
This drama is really dark and deals with a lot of real life issues that can be very difficult and uncomfortable to explore. The ending scene was so well acted it scared me...it almost felt like I was there.
It’s clear that Nira is very flawed and very very broken. I liked her ending because I do think she needed to take the time to accept and love herself first.
Baifern was AMAZING in this. Nira is such a complicated character but she really brought her to life. Her and Push were just so beautiful together it was kind of hard not to stare at awe at times. Although their relationship was unhealthy they really did find support and comfort in each other.
Not everyone gets a happy ending but that’s life. You just have to keep living and see what awaits for you at the end of it.
Can’t believe I actually finished this one. It wasn’t bad overall and certainly addicting. The evil family keeps the drama interesting haha.
I’m kind of bummed with who she ends up with though only because the set up wasn’t as strong. Ha Na and Do Hyun were together for almost 3/4 of the story romantically so it was kind of hard not to see them together in the end. Love changes over time I guess. Happy for Yoon Chan just wished he had gotten more.
This drama was a hot mess with infuriating characters but it was crazy addicting haha. It’s technically a BL in story and the actresses do a good job of differentiating the siblings. God was actually pretty good in this plus he’s nice to look at too haha. Worth a watch if you got nothing to do and want someone to yell and roll your eyes at.
I wonder if this will be the first Korean BL with a love triangle. Doesn’t seem like Jang Eui Soo is going to be leading since he’s not on the poster though.
Amazing chemistry and the kiss scenes surprised me because W-Story were pretty tame in their previous series (WYEL, Mr Heart) but they didn’t shy away in this one. The story is a bit con-jumbled and the last episode does give you some whiplash but the romance and chemistry was all there.
Really cute and the twist at the end pulled a couple of my heartstrings. Given the age of the characters I think the kiss scene was appropriate.
The story is pulled straight from a fanfic but I don’t think it’s been done in film yet so kudos. The music was also really good for a short series. There are some unanswered questions and mysteries to be solved so I hope we get a season 2.
I always come back to this one because the chemistry between the two leads was and still is off the charts. It was the first mainstream Korean BL series and it really did set the bar high.
There’s been about 6+ more series since, all within a year (from different companies too) so I think WYEL really did help make THAT happen. I think in a year or two we might start to see full length web dramas or cable dramas but until then we just need to be patient and keep supporting the genre ;).
A really cute watch but the chemistry seemed a bit lacking until towards the end when they actually get together. Hope there’s a second season so we can see more of it!
It’s set in the same multiverse as WYEL (same director) so there are some references (chocolate milk, jiu jitsu) to it which was pretty cool. It was nice to see Kim Pil Hyun again too? .
PSA: Viki says on their website/app they’ll be airing an ep 9... Anyone know what it means or what it’s for? I thought the drama already finished airing!? I’m excited for more anyways!
Hopefully the movie with some newly added scenes and better fluidity can help make the story and romance feel more organic.
