The craziest lakorn ever...but you’ll want to ride it all the way to the end.
Jes acted the hell out of his character but they didn’t really give him a redemption arc. He was the villain NOT the ML. I think the drama would have been a lot more interesting if we got to see him grow and change. Not saying he deserved a happy ending but some growth at least.
I wanted angst but there was none. Itt and Day didn’t really have much screen time either. They just had the NC scene together and that was pretty much it. Story felt more focused on Night and Gear. Doubt this will get a second part and maybe it’s for the best. Sad no one has done the writer’s story justice though.
No one really talks about the title but I love it so much because it’s literally the embodiment of the show.…
Let me know if you guys liked this analysis. I also want to do one on Jae Won’s internal struggles and on what was the catalyst in helping him choose to accept Ji Hyun’s love.
No one really talks about the title but I love it so much because it’s literally the embodiment of the show. The Eighth Sense is all about being in tune with one’s emotions and internal self. Ji Hyun and Jae Won immediately recognize their attraction towards each other and begin to seek each other out like moths drawn to a flame.
Jae Won strikes up a conversation with Ji Hyun asking for a light in an excuse and goes to the same restaurant in the hopes to see him again. While Ji Hyun follows Jae Won around and joins the surf club (after some internet stalking) for the chance to see him again too.
They’re strangers to each other but they also know there’s an unspoken (and mutual) magnetic pull towards each other so they choose to act on it. It’s not an if it’s meant to be situation where they wait for the universe to put them together instead they choose to trust and use their eighth sense to find their way to each other.
It was just ok. There really wasn’t much to keep the story going so it felt a little slow. The second couple didn’t really get anything either. A good BL to play in the background while you’re doing other stuff.
while rewatching this series i realized how silent it is. at some points it felt weird to only hear them talk…
Loved when they were just talking to each other for like 10 minutes straight at the beach without any music just the sound of the waves. That level of connection felt so real and magical. And when they were partying it up in the club they were all over too and not just with each other the whole night.
I had given up on korean bls for a long time now. To me,there always seemed to be something so artificial and…
Yup I would classify this as more of a queer show than BL too because it can happen in real life. Just two people living their life who happen to meet and fall in love.
I love enemies to lovers and toxic ML’s but damn Tae Yi was on another level of toxic. He was over the line aggressive with the way he pushed and dragged Se Heon around. Don’t even get me started on Joo Ha either. Despite being longer than average for a KBL it still felt a bit rushed especially towards the end. The story and characters just needed a bit more time to simmer.
This one is my guilty pleasure. It’s more lakorn than traditional BL which made it more fun and addicting for me. You’re not supposed to take it seriously! There are some really awesome characters too like the mom, roommates, and the best friend. I liked the leads together too.
Too short :(. I really liked the enemies to lover angle (and bratty Nunew) Zee and Nunew’s characters had together but it only lasted like 5 minutes before they started being lovey dovey. Of course the chemistry was still there and the kiss scenes were great just wished it could have been a longer drama instead.
Super cute and made me cry too. Not perfect but better than what a lot of people are saying. The chemistry between the leads really elevated this drama and the touch of indie music was nice too. I know this came out before the Eighth Sense but they give me a similar vibe especially with the soulmate type of love connection.
Hate to say it but didn’t like this one very much. The chemistry was good for both couples don’t get me wrong but the mafia stuff was just silly. They also tried to make a big deal out of one of the leads being a minor for some reason (even making it a plot point) when the other lead was kissing and touching him prior which just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Yes I understand age of consent varies by country but they chose to make it a plot point so it almost felt like fetishization to me. Just my two cents though.
A bit short but honestly not that bad. Felt more like Nawee’s story and Aiaoon was just there to help him heal. Ch 3 has been trying to dabble into the BL genre but they haven’t been as successful as GMMTV yet. I think they just need to invest in it a little more like GMMTV because they actually do have some of the best and highest quality lakorns they just haven’t gotten a BL right yet.
This drama is a bit slowburn but it’s totally worth it. THAT kiss scene was really something else. The leads are cute together and I actually didn’t mind the age gap (Jeng is a tall glass of water). Unfortunately it was boggled down by too much business politics and the side couple didn’t get an ending either which was disappointing.
It was probably because of the age difference but SHK and LDH didn’t actually have much chemistry. They felt more like colleagues who worked together and slept together occasionally. She actually had more chemistry with the chaebol husband lol. I honestly think this drama would’ve been better if it was shorter too but the acting was great.
