I am addressing those who feel offended to hear it defined as a "masterpiece". Aside from the fact that here we…
I know right?! Everyone have their own masterpieces. It's so funny that many people didn't learn the meaning of the word: opinion. I for one think this is a drama that I will have a difficult time to move on from, but I won't be butthurt if anyone think this is too fluffy or romance heavy for them. But then again, I guess I'm old enough to know not to argue on the internet ๐
The ones who liked it will say itโs good, the ones who didnโt like it will say itโs bad. I think the best…
Exactly. One person kept saying that this is for young girls who have no experience in love. Well, me and my friends who are watching and loving this are married middle aged ladies, it's so funny to me. People have different opinions and taste. That's all.
I dropped this on ep 15 when was starting to turn into rom com from serious stuff and Wei Shao's character to…
I don't think this drama is for you if you're looking for more of the serious stuff, because it mostly tell the main couple's love story. Even though it get really serious in the last 3 eps, but I don't think you'll want to spend that many eps before it gets there.
I... have no words.... The Prisoner of Beauty really has become one of my favorite drama of all time. I waited for 2 years since I heard about LYN casting, never watched SZE before but she looked so gorgeous on the promos, it pained me whem the delay kept happening. I read the novel just to help me wait for this to come out. I enjoyed it, even if some parts made me feel iffy (the intimacy part was mostly forceful in the beginning), and I just can't imagine how they will translate it in the drama. But man, the drama turn out far better than the novel (for me). The characterizations, the romance, the relationships between characters, tpob elevated it. I know some people will disagree, but hey, you do you. The main focus of tpob was not revenge, but how to heal from past traumas, and forgiveness. The main couple really took a long process to really understand and trust each other first, before they finally give in to love. That's why when they finally get intimate, it was beautiful and so heartfelt because it comes from love, not lust.
Wait, it turns out, I have words ๐ I should've just written a review. Anw, 9.5/10 for me.
It's Liu Yuning on one of his livestream where he basically just spouting a lot of nonsense ๐ But it's good that he said no kisses so when they hit us with THOSE kisses, we all die happily..
Yess, like, okay you have your own principle to protect your husband and all, but do you really have to point…
Well, let's just agree to disagree.. Manman and daqiao have different love language. Sometimes you have to protect the ones you love, but some other times, they will still do what they have to do regardless. In this case, it was weishao who decided to help yanzhou, not manman. And she tried her best to help weishao in doing so. I trust my partner to decide what's best for them, not to push my own desire to protect them.
you know what, its not even the cousin declining to lend manman troops that stings the most. its the part where…
Yess, like, okay you have your own principle to protect your husband and all, but do you really have to point that out to manman when manman's husband is a Lord of a large state hence he has bigger responsibility and more complicated circumstance?! Dang I tried so hard to be understanding of daqiao. Manman is a better person than I am.
I love that almost every episode includes a pivotal momentโeach one marking a step forward in this enemies-to-lovers…
Seriously I was crying my heart out watching ep 31. Seeing how far they've come to really understand and love each other. ๐ฅฒ One of the thing I love most about this drama is the characterization of manman and weishao, and you wrote it beautifully โค๏ธ
"I'm cold, okay?"Wei Shao grabbing his wife sleeve, while looking at her helplessly, already out of words to say…
I don't know about everybody else but I cried buckets watching the tangerine talk scene. It was very tender and deep, both pouring their hearts sincerely. With chemistry oozing from their every gaze.
They're really becoming one of my top drama cp of all time.
the target audience for these shows are virgin girls who never had a relationship. just keep that in mind whenever…
Oh dear, I'm a married woman in a very happy relationship and I'm loving this drama a lot. Saying a drama is not your taste and criticizing the drama is your right and fine, but insulting a group of people because they have different preferences than you is NOT.
I've been saving ep 30 to watch with 31 today so I just feel like bursting waiting for 5pm. I don't know how I…
Oh I have SVIP. I just don't think I could watch only 1 ep per day ๐ญ And considering ep 30 will be more "make war" and less "make love" I decided to just wait until ep 31 today ๐
I just found on X a commenter from weibo pointing out that the bgm for the kissing scene was Yuning's song, so he's still singing while he's kissing (eating) ๐คฃ๐คฃ
