Hahaha for reall i wait this drama to air from august until now, like now maybe we have to waited again until Q1 next year😭. As for the drama i watch the trailer and wrapped video of them, the characteristics and story almost the same as the novel and Mu Qingyan the ML gives the posessive and obsessive ML and proactiveness towards Cai Zhao/FL soo i speculate the characteristics have same demeanor like in the novel and maybe theres gonna be spicy interactions muehehe 😏.
Haha it's okayy, The novel end in Happy End (HE) and author give us extra chap when they married and have child 🥰 the extra chap at 142-145 (in mydramanovel). That's why i love this novel and drama so much because all of their hardwork, sacrifice and struggle got pay off in the end and accomplish their love story.

I don't know for the dramas will be shown in what eps but in the novel FL aunt (Wan Peng) shown and mentioned and has flashback in many dialogues of FL but not all of the dialogues give flashback just a mention and describes her, as far i remember from the novel the flashback in the beginning of the story and middle when the mystery is begin to reveal about FL aunt story
Wow you being perceptive and guess it right. The interesting part is although the ML is puppy lover boy and always clingy, pursuing and flirt Cai Zhao, he only do that thing to Cai Zhao he has always has a soft spot only for Cai Zhao/FL in his heart, But he has bad demeanor to others that's makes others difficult to approach him 😂.
He is like Doberman who protect and care to the one he love but to others can beat and bite you anytime. That's why he is a leader of the Demon sect for sure he a tough guy, that's what makes him interesting because his personality and characteristics is like Demon sect leader and only can be tamed by Cai Zhao/FL.
So the relationship chart in the novel is a kind similar to Cheng Shaoshang situation (FL from Love like the galaxy) (This novel story is the same writer from Love Like the Galaxy) but the different way is Mu Qingyan/ML is a jealousy type and obsessive man (Altough he obsses but he never hurt Cai Zhao or push her to obey him, it's the opposite like he always give in the end and grant wishes what Cai Zhao want).
His obsession is when FL fiancee (fiancee betrothed when she still kid) is come to the sect and Mu Qingyan saw him act like care to Cai Zhao he is boiled with anger and jealousy and he is cunning and make strategy and plan to get rid of her fiancee but in a way that's not too rough (because he don't want Cai Zhao to angry at him). He made a cunning strategy and brilliant act to luring the fiancee to cancel their engagement, and the plan is worked and success he have many strategy and smart move to his enemies and rival for sure, is always him in the end who won😂.
The love triangle is not so loud because the love triangle scenes in the novel are not too many and the Second ML is dumb in act of showing "love" or "care" he is like type of the guy that's righteouss and stern and serious about matter in the sect and not know how to care for a girl he loved, and the FL fiancee is only a handsome like scholar guy that is kind, gentle and like nobleman but he not as strong as Cai Zhao in martial art and his heart is so weak toward pity person so that's why he is in love with someone else but cannot break the engagement because his elders push him to marry Cai Zhao/FL that's why the winner is Mu Qingyan/ML because he never let go of Cai Zhao and let another man to get her and he is the one for sure that really love Cai Zhao and accept her whatever she has and the way she is 😂.
Don't worry Cai Zhao/FL is in love with Mu Qingyan/ML too but she know at the beginning and middle story they cannot be together because of their sect matters (enemies for 200 hundred years) so the FL is lost hope and she is forbid by the elders and parents to see him cause the ML is the leader of the Demon sect and everyone think that he manipulated her and use her eventhough that's not true ML always care, protect her and go to the fire to secure she safe even the FL is strong and smart the ML always care and never let her suffer. The main character both is smart, intelligent, and strong (Power couple) for the ML he is really a lover boy who cannot live without Cai Zhao he is the one that has more effort and sacrifice to get her, the FL is love him too and has sacrifice too but objectively the ML has always give in or grant wishes to what FL want until the end.
So basically the mystery in the stories is the stories and the legend of the history of their sect, like Mu Qingyan is from the demon sect and Cai Zhao from the righteouss sect and their elders and previous generation which is Cai Zhao aunt and another elders has a connection history with the demon sect from first established to current timeline wheres theres next generation are the FL and the ML. So the story of their own sect have a continuity connection to each other then this is why the drama named Generation to Generation.

Next chap 42/43-64 (The 2nd Key chaps that has iconic scenes) : This is when the ML waiting for her to go down the mountain and meet her with reveal his real identity clear, after ML wait for her and she met him he say "Zhaozhao i waited for you for a a day and night" and he begin say his name "Surname Mu, given name Qing Yan" then after that he pursuing her and following her until ML offer FL to rest first before go because FL bring another person that will have key part to the stories until chap 64 end (support role) so she listens to ML cause the support role is tired too haha, after that ML begin to only look and caring for FL like theres no another person in that place haha he giving act of service things and treat her thousand much better than the support role and ignore the support role like nothing ahahaha. What made me moved is when ML offers and willingly to eat the poisons if the FL still worries about his act or scare about him, but the FL didn't want to do that and she definetly not Mu Qingyan (ML) who is ruthless ahaha. And in this middle chapters ML showing many act of love like effort, cares for her needs and protect her at all cost and he has to face extremely dangerous areas and they almost near death, all his act is for keep FL alive and safe and not traveling the wuxia world alone wheres many dangers awaited. theres so much wholesome moments and details that will give your hearts moved and affected that " why you so loyal, fell hard for her broo ?" his sincere and unconditional love for her is make us feel joy and happiness in our hearts :'))). (theres many battle or wuxia momment too of course that i can't explain just only by words) (Slowburn romance hits hard in this chap)
Next Chap 68-88 (The moment when ML rebuild his demon sect and has many iconic scenes) : This is when FL came to the demon sect to meet him again and help him to his matters, ML surely very happy about meeting her again and this time the second ml came too because he wanted to borrow something from ML sect and many jealousy scenes and wholesome act of ML that's make him more possesive and obsessive to the FL but in a good way not in a bad way, he just keep an eye to second ml to not have many moment talk to FL and always mock him and compare second ml to ML (him) ahahaha. Yeahh and as always everytime their face dangers although the FL is strong and smart ML always protect her and not let her get a single injury so he protect her at all cost and always think of her safety. and theres too many key scenes that i can't say one by one sooo lastt i will explain it more simples
Next chap 94-104 : This is wheres the ML make another pursuit to her over and over again make more agresive act like clingy and spicy things he do, u should readd thiss because this is why everyone got hype about ahahaha i can't explain further because its to tingle to explain hahaha. At chap 101 the iconic lines of ML said in the trailer is came from this chap, when ML said "As long as i'm alive i will never let go of you". Another line that will make us heart moved is ML : "If you truly despise me, you might as well take my life, i won't resist" "I won't harm you or your family". For now let's, take it one step at a time..". Gosh i felt the angst and forbidden love they have to face because of their sect background history and family. (Yeah enemies to lovers thing).
Chap 105-115 (Theres iconic scenes about their love story in this chapter) : Wheres FL and ML exploring the jianghu (wuxia) world together to search for their missions. Theres iconic scenes wheres ML got injured badly and he offers FL to kill him to relieve her burden because ML said he will never let her go and if the FL felt burden about this she can kill him to let herself free and not getting pursuit by this freak leader demon cult (bro u are fell first and fell harder until sink to the bottom huh?). So the FL play along and lied about want to kill him and the ML ready to give it all, and the FL left him alone when he still injury but the plot twist is the FL is gone for searching some herbs for him and after she acted tough and cruel she got troubled because the ground not stable after landslide and ML hear her trouble sound and hurriedly came to find her even he still injured, that time when ML saw FL troubled then he say : "Is this all you're capable of? Trying to act tough and kill someone! What's so special about this herb that you'd risk your life for it? If i hadn't come, how long would you have hung there?". Gosh Mu Qingyan a man you are :")
Chap 116-121 (The most iconic and appear in the trailer) : This is when the ML got trapped by the scheming of the FL elders and he ready risk his life to be cripple because he let his guard down and wary only to meet FL and wanted to clear the misunderstanding the elders accused him for, but he ended in the traps that the elders set for him, at first the FL didn't know about it and after she know she safe him from the elders (this scenes FL fight 6 elders alone to set the ML free). and many more excitement the chapters give to us.
Chap 124 - 133 : Theres many fun and excitement the story give us about FL and ML you can read this key chapters too and theres intense interactions between FL and ML and wholesome moment too eventhough this chap reveal many mystery and intense fight between the member of righteouss sect.
lastttt chap 135- 141 end until extra chap 145 : this is wheres we met the final of the story and happy ending after the struggle they had to accomplish their love story.

Soo theres so many interesting chapters thats make us feel tingle and excited about them ;)) first i will guide you to early chapters that when Cai Zhao first meet Mu Qingyan when he still in disguise as Chang Ning the chapters start at chap 5 until 12 where they try to interacts to each others and communicate.
Chap 5 - 12 : So Cai Zhao meet him first when he still in recovery and got bullied by others then Cai Zhao help him until her master entrust the ML to FL and their interactions begin to intertwined, at first he cannot communicate well and always have salty comments to everyone and also criticism FL elders thats when the FL angry about him and tired of his behaviour haha, but then he got troubled again by the bully and FL saves him again after that FL make conditions that if he not badmouth or criticism her elders and not making trouble or start making trouble to others she will protect him and care for him until he recovers then this make ML feels joy and moved by her act and cuteness reactions. (This is the start sign of slowburn romance)
Chap 25 - 31 : This when the ML start to seek revenge to his bullies and the FL busy to keep him accompany and monitor him to not make a trouble or getting troubled by others haha, this time his demeanor begin to unveil to hint he his indeed future leader of the demon sect for sure haha, because he show no mercy to the bullies until when he got rampage on the bullies and begin chaos to the sect territory, FL try to stop him and make him come to his sense again THIS is the most unique part that shown he is only can be tamed by her like, FL has to stab him a little in his shoulders to make him stop then he stop and listen to her and not angry at all to her like he understand the thing he do not make FL happy and he considered her thoughts, after that she medicate him well and give him some "dessert" that already been keep for him. This moment the author describes his feelings begin to risen to her avvv. And they have comedy scenes too about the gossip FL and ML had in the sect and the rumours is begin to spreads until became hot gossip haha and many more u should read the details later. (Slowburn romance more risen up)
Chap 32 - 42 (This is the first key parts and his identity begin to reveal) : This time the FL got problem wheres her father gone missing and they have to faced the imposter people of their sect, this time ML support her, help her and give her what her need for in her crucial time, he really considerates and begin to love and want to protect her. they begin to reveal the mystery of the imposter people and find hints to her father missing, at first she didn't trust anyone and want to investigate alone but ML told her that's she can trust him because he will never hurt her or her family and he said he worried about her investigate alone goshh my hearttt :") moved. When they investigate they faced many enemies and FL have to save her fifth senior brother that when ML said to FL to go and let him handle the enemies (gosh the effort of him to protect her) and theres comedy scenes too wheres the author put theatrical stage drama that will make us laugh ahahah u should read the detail too later and
lastt under chap 40-42 : the ML have to run from the sect because his identity got revealed that's he is not the real "Chang Ning", when he run and wanted to go, the first he do after he escaped from the guards he waited for FL to come for him and thats when FL says she know he is from the demon sect and have high value or identity that will bring influence to demon sect, and she says that she used him for information about the prisons in the sect (this information is a hints for searching her father) then she says he should go and she will help him escape, after that the ML shock about her honesty and statement but didn't angry and he say "Let's put this matters aside" and tell her to go with him to down the mountain and he will help her to search her father because he worried that she will be in danger but she cannot accept that offers and says gently that their sect are enemies for decade and if she get caught stay by him she will be accused to colluding with the demon sect. Then because the guards steps become near she warn him to go or he will be caught then the FL help him to escape and the ML ask : "Then why you came here to met me?" then FL said : "Because if i not came, you will waiting for me" and then this is make the ML felt more worried and thinking about her desperately. Yeahhh i know the Prisoner of beauty and i watch the dramas too the FL i like her a lott she's smart, loyal to her family, strong beauty with brains and wanted to protect her family. Yeahh the ML at first is very emotional and his attitude ahahah a bit toxic butt yeah i'm a bit understanding his demeanor because his family background and his traumatic past but i don't justification his past bad demeanor and attitude to her in the begginning episodes but surely since he's change and love her down bad i forgive him hehe.

As far i deep down to Chinese drama i never ever before read novel or other novel dramas like Korean dramas or Western dramas, soo the first novel i read is this novel (A Decade Of Nightscape Lights). Before i find this novel i just only watch Cdramas, Kdramas only and after watch and finish all the Cdramas and Kdramas i like or i hype, i lost of resource of dramas i wanted so i find another upcoming dramas and i find this masterpiece. At first i curious about this dramas and watch the BTS video/wrap up video, and it's looks cool and interesting after that the new trailer come out and i find the main role is soo match and the visuals, the act, the chemistry they served to us in the new trailer gives me excitement and eagerly wanted to watch them so much but when i know this dramas not aired yet and as far i deep down the internet about them, many people says Tencent dramas will take long waited list for air because many preparations needs to air especially if the dramas contains fantasy genres.
So i just accept that and wait patiently and lost my patience because i think of them everyday :") its ringing in my head so then eventually i read the novel because i can't wait, besides i really didn't like to read novel because it's just a text only without a image/art that's is the first thoughts of mine but then eventually i read this novel and it beyonds expectations and very interesting story and i feel their chemistry from the script in the novel. So this is the first novel I read and i think is the best novel as far as I know about Chinese dramas and my type of genres. I especially like the story wrapped very interestingly, intriguing and the romance hits hard, mystery, investigation together, character development and many more i can't say one by one. And i want to tell a bit story that i start likes this genres because i like enemies to lovers troupe things hehe~ at first when i watch this trailer and behind the scene i think this dramas is about enemies to lovers when the FL is from good sides and the ML is from the bad sides and then they fall in love and fascinated with each others personality and charms but then after i read this novel its beyond my imagination and expectations and more interesting and not that simple of “love” or “romance” of what i assumptions at first, like they respect each others but have interesting personality too and turn out this is slowburn love troupe gosh i love them.
This is what i fear the most because this novel make my standard more hard and high like this is the best lore story, romance, wuxia and fantasy i read and i’m afraid if i read another or watch another dramas that i will not get this expectations anymore haha silly me maybe because i still in love with this novel haha. but surely i will watch another Cdramas or Kdramas that seems interesting and the genres i likes. Theres iconic scenes wheres ML got injured badly and he offers FL to kill him to relieve her burden because ML said he will never let her go and if the FL felt burden about this she can kill him to let herself free and not getting pursuit by this freak leader demon cult (bro u are fell first and fell harder until sink to the bottom huh?). So the FL play along and lied about want to kill him and the ML ready to give it all, and the FL left him alone when he still injury but the plot twist is the FL is gone for searching some herbs for him and after she acted tough and cruel she got troubled because the ground not stable after landslide and ML hear her trouble sound and hurriedly came to find her even he still injured, that time when ML saw FL troubled then he say : "Is this all you're capable of? Trying to act tough and kill someone! What's so special about this herb that you'd risk your life for it? If i hadn't come, how long would you have hung there?". Gosh Mu Qingyan a man you are :")
Chap 116-121 (The most iconic and appear in the trailer) : This is when the ML got trapped by the scheming of the FL elders and he ready risk his life to be cripple because he let his guard down and wary only to meet FL and wanted to clear the misunderstanding the elders accused him for, but he ended in the traps that the elders set for him, at first the FL didn't know about it and after she know she safe him from the elders (this scenes FL fight 6 elders alone to set the ML free). and many more excitement the chapters give to us.
Chap 124 - 133 : Theres many fun and excitement the story give us about FL and ML you can read this key chapters too and theres intense interactions between FL and ML and wholesome moment too eventhough this chap reveal many mystery and intense fight between the member of righteouss sect.
lastttt chap 135- 141 end until extra chap 145 : this is wheres we met the final of the story and happy ending after the struggle they had to accomplish their love story.

Soo theres so many interesting chapters thats make us feel tingle and excited about them ;)) first i will guide you to early chapters that when Cai Zhao first meet Mu Qingyan when he still in disguise as Chang Ning the chapters start at chap 5 until 12 where they try to interacts to each others and communicate.
Chap 5 - 12 : So Cai Zhao meet him first when he still in recovery and got bullied by others then Cai Zhao help him until her master entrust the ML to FL and their interactions begin to intertwined, at first he cannot communicate well and always have salty comments to everyone and also criticism FL elders thats when the FL angry about him and tired of his behaviour haha, but then he got troubled again by the bully and FL saves him again after that FL make conditions that if he not badmouth or criticism her elders and not making trouble or start making trouble to others she will protect him and care for him until he recovers then this make ML feels joy and moved by her act and cuteness reactions. (This is the start sign of slowburn romance)
Chap 25 - 31 : This when the ML start to seek revenge to his bullies and the FL busy to keep him accompany and monitor him to not make a trouble or getting troubled by others haha, this time his demeanor begin to unveil to hint he his indeed future leader of the demon sect for sure haha, because he show no mercy to the bullies until when he got rampage on the bullies and begin chaos to the sect territory, FL try to stop him and make him come to his sense again THIS is the most unique part that shown he is only can be tamed by her like, FL has to stab him a little in his shoulders to make him stop then he stop and listen to her and not angry at all to her like he understand the thing he do not make FL happy and he considered her thoughts, after that she medicate him well and give him some "dessert" that already been keep for him. This moment the author describes his feelings begin to risen to her avvv. And they have comedy scenes too about the gossip FL and ML had in the sect and the rumours is begin to spreads until became hot gossip haha and many more u should read the details later. (Slowburn romance more risen up)
Chap 32 - 42 (This is the first key parts and his identity begin to reveal) : This time the FL got problem wheres her father gone missing and they have to faced the imposter people of their sect, this time ML support her, help her and give her what her need for in her crucial time, he really considerates and begin to love and want to protect her. they begin to reveal the mystery of the imposter people and find hints to her father missing, at first she didn't trust anyone and want to investigate alone but ML told her that's she can trust him because he will never hurt her or her family and he said he worried about her investigate alone goshh my hearttt :") moved. When they investigate they faced many enemies and FL have to save her fifth senior brother that when ML said to FL to go and let him handle the enemies (gosh the effort of him to protect her) and theres comedy scenes too wheres the author put theatrical stage drama that will make us laugh ahahah u should read the detail too later and
lastt under chap 40-42 : the ML have to run from the sect because his identity got revealed that's he is not the real "Chang Ning", when he run and wanted to go, the first he do after he escaped from the guards he waited for FL to come for him and thats when FL says she know he is from the demon sect and have high value or identity that will bring influence to demon sect, and she says that she used him for information about the prisons in the sect (this information is a hints for searching her father) then she says he should go and she will help him escape, after that the ML shock about her honesty and statement but didn't angry and he say "Let's put this matters aside" and tell her to go with him to down the mountain and he will help her to search her father because he worried that she will be in danger but she cannot accept that offers and says gently that their sect are enemies for decade and if she get caught stay by him she will be accused to colluding with the demon sect. Then because the guards steps become near she warn him to go or he will be caught then the FL help him to escape and the ML ask : "Then why you came here to met me?" then FL said : "Because if i not came, you will waiting for me" and then this is make the ML felt more worried and thinking about her desperately. (don't worry guys they will meet again at chapter 43/44).

Hahahaha i know that novel because the of the webtoon theres is many mentions it and read them but i'm sorry i skipped it because i can't stand dark romance when the ML is not valued woman or make her suffer a lot and never ever regret it especially when they regret it at the end like broo u late broo what you bring to her life is miserable and now u want her back and be forgiven ? nahh bro she's deserve better. But thank youu for you recommendations i appreciated a lott and for dark romance maybe i like the type of obsessive/posessive ML but still value their woman and obey her woman but still has domination aura and charisma like Mu Qing Yan to Cai Zhao hahaha maybe i prefer that troupe of story.

So i just accept that and wait patiently and lost my patience because i think of them everyday :") its ringing in my head so then eventually i read the novel because i can't wait, besides i really didn't like to read novel because it's just a text only without a image/art that's is the first thoughts of mine but then eventually i read this novel and it beyonds expectations and very interesting story and i feel their chemistry from the script in the novel. So this is the first novel I read and i think is the best novel as far as I know about Chinese dramas and my type of genres. I especially like the story wrapped very interestingly, intriguing and the romance hits hard, mystery, investigation together, character development and many more i can't say one by one. And i want to tell a bit story that i start likes this genres because i like enemies to lovers troupe things hehe~ at first when i watch this trailer and behind the scene i think this dramas is about enemies to lovers when the FL is from good sides and the ML is from the bad sides and then they fall in love and fascinated with each others personality and charms but then after i read this novel its beyond my imagination and expectations and more interesting and not that simple of “love” or “romance” of what i assumptions at first, like they respect each others but have interesting personality too and turn out this is slowburn love troupe gosh i love them.
This is what i fear the most because this novel make my standard more hard and high like this is the best lore story, romance, wuxia and fantasy i read and i’m afraid if i read another or watch another dramas that i will not get this expectations anymore haha silly me maybe because i still in love with this novel haha. but surely i will watch another Cdramas or Kdramas that seems interesting and the genres i likes. Yeahh many scenes that make us criedd because the struggle ML and FL had :"( especially the ML whos have sad background and he's finally find his ray of light (Cai Zhao) after met her he finally felt joyfull and happiness.
