I read in DB, people said GJ is more to logical part. He got stable plan and he's focus while ZZH is more to emotional part. He value his craft and his work-life balance. He even complained in several streaming sessions already because he lost his freedom and he doesn't know how to repay all the fans' love (because previously his fans weren't big like now) , hahahaha. Seemed to me that ZZH may not realize that now he's famous, LOL.
I finished all episodes and I had no attachment to the character at all. Sifeng character was good until the FL character push and pull her love towards him and it made his character becoming dull. I also don't like FL acting here, her chemistry is lacking in many parts with ML and I feel like ML carried the whole story alone. If only they could change the FL perhaps the show is bearable and tbh I skipped a lot of parts because it's too draggy and boring after episode 40 TT TT.

Drama in China unlike in the west is categorized with many things, sometimes with letter like S drama, being the drama with high budget, oushang drama (idol drama) and liuliang drama (high traffic star drama), etc.
In OTT platform like 10cent, mangotv, youku, iqiyi, there are several drama categories, one of it is liuliang drama created for traffic because from the traffic then the sponsor would be there and the views KPI will be achieved.

Agree with you and it's true, for GJ perhaps because he's quite "new", he still needs drama portfolio. I also see that the drama he would be in is typical liuliang drama for traffic generation. Out of his drama he is in, only WKX character is unforgettable but I think he likes to be on the mainstream idol side. It's also reflecting in many of brand endorsement he got. The brands he got is typical brand that used liuliangs in China.
As for ZZH, agree with you as well. He' s more to acting side because he's been in the industry for so long without any proper recognition and of course he knew and saw some sh1ts happened in the industry. I see him taking Hu Ge step, when he would be focusing on script and character instead of traffic. His brand endorsement now also reflecting his career choice, he got mainly fast moving retail brands with massive media values as well thus he got exposure. Something that he lacked about during his 10 year of career.
Personally I'm more leaning to ZZH, I have a soft spot hahaha... but I like GJ as well. I hope both of them will be flying higher after SHL because they both deserve it.
