Actually, he loved her A LOT too but just not to the crazy level of LBY. Like her, he has been hurt. His personality is the closest to her. They are like twins. In the novel, he actually broke off an advantageous engagement for her. Unfortunately for him, regardless of what he does, his sacrifices cannot compare to LBY's. He realized in the end that he cannot measure up because LBY sacrificed himself selflessly to guarantee her happiness even if she chose to be with another person. In the end, he married someone else but was still heartbroken and thinking of her for the rest of his life!
This is how the novel is ... very slow. But it's coming soon. I think it's more believable that way because she's been hurt and longing for independence. He has to know how to earn her trust. He starts out very domineering ... it's not going to work. Both of them need to compromise.
Excellent job in both scripting and directing in 25-26. Really loved these two episodes, especially the humorous ending of 26! The script again exceeded my expectation. I loved the way the director showed humor, not just through words but also through the filming angles and the closeup of motions! I especially loved the ending at 26! So much better than the novel! I am looking forward to the coming episodes!!!
Finally, the plot moves on! I felt too much time was spent on the first engagement. I would like to see more time…
She breaks her engagement with Yao. This marks the beginning of her exposure to life in the palace. Overall, the plot is moving on. I wish they would not drag on with the grandma's scenes. At this point, I tend to get impatient and fast forward her scenes.
The emperor, on the other hand, is a lot more humorous. His involvement in LBY's love life is hilarious... the scene was fun to read too.

Avenue X is about the story telling. I'm surprised she gave it 1 gold mine. I agree with her view on ML. He could…
She likes dramas based on actors/actresses! Her favorite is Zheng Ye Cheng! I don't think ZLS is her favorite. What she needs to do is having an open mind: female empowerment now a days is not just about looks!
The biggest joke of the year.. she is a joker.. I stopped taking her seriously when she points outs all silly…
The script gave him so much screen time already compared the book. I think he will definitely get more screen time later on. That's when his acting skill will be tested.
