If it helps any, it seems like from next episode onwards we’re gonna see her becoming the diva/singer.
Thank you for letting me know ... I don't follow Netflix shows so am not aware. I guess it also makes sense to attract more audience with subplots. It's a catch-all kind of drama. I am little burned out from watching K drama. Only come back to watch this show because of the FL ... she's a phenomenal actress!

I agree ... but these murders and secondary plots just ruin the story ... I don't know why Korean dramas have to inject these overly dramatic secondary stories when the main story about her is already so interesting. It just looks like a netflix story with sensational plots about violence. I feel it distracts and takes away the time for the development of her story.
I wish this drama is more about her journey to achieve her dream rather than about a psychotic dad and finding…
Her story with the boar is so fun to watch ... so I hope they will expand more about her life. Well we will have more action next week ... hopefully, her singing career will get started then.
At the risk of making some fans angry, I also find XK unnatural in some roles. It's like he's pretending to act.…
Again, this is just a personal opinion. Not everyone watching this show because of XK. So please don't attack people or cast your personal opinions on their post without asking for clarifications. I respect all opinions that are expressed well and not personal attacks. Thanks @Draco and @Minoucha ... for being kind and not attacking other view points.
People are allowed to have mixed opinions...
And sorry instead of responding to personal attacks, I simply just block you. I don't need to deal with this on a fun platform like this ...
Why would this drama receive a bad review though, I could understand why snow eagle lord would get bad review…
I think the story is not as flowing and smooth ... but this could change later on. Like their bantering doesn't match the intensity and seriousness of the beginning scene.
I can't put my finger on it as he is not a bad actor and he is attractive, but I have never been able to connect…
At the risk of making some fans angry, I also find XK unnatural in some roles. It's like he's pretending to act. If you watch the first few scenes of EP1 and also after he did makeup on Pei Yuan, he doesn't look natural in the role. He uses his eyebrows (frowning to look fierce) a lot more than his eyes. He does have moments where his eyes are expressive and natural ... but not always. I tend to watch actor's eyes a lot ... Unlike him, JT is very natural even in those cringing scenes when the script is not smooth ... she's almost always believable in the role because of her natural expressions. Everything seems smooth and consistent that you don't feel disconnected from the drama.
He's really handsome and charming though.
I like him in Yanxi Palace ... however, I haven't watched any of his other dramas (except Royal Feast because it's Yanxi Palace ... ) because I don't like his acting. I am watching this drama because of the actress. She acts really well. And I will watch him next year in As Beautiful As You ... also because of the FL.
"On September 19, the official Weibo account of Yu Zheng's new work "Mo Yu Yun Jian" announced that it was officially completed, and then officially announced the cast of the play.
It is reported that the play is a play tailor-made by Yu Zheng for Wu Jinyan. The male protagonist is also his artist Wang Xingyue. In addition to Huanyu's internal actors, Yu Zheng also single-handedly contributed to the lineup of this play, looking for Many acquaintances in the industry have joined the cast. If Wu Jinyan cannot make a comeback with this drama, Yu Zheng will probably not invest so much energy in her in the future." https://www.163.com/dy/article/IF0UUJR70517GBR7.html
I am on chapter 134 ... getting more and more exciting ....Can't wait to see the drama! However, it seems like…
Chapter 200: "What does Duke mean, I still look good now?" ... He got closer to Jiang-Li and said softly, "Yes." .... Jiang-Li can almost hear the sound of his heartbeat. In fact, she has forgotten what kind of mood she was when she liked Shen Yurong (ex-husband) at the beginning. After all, it’s been a long time, but now, at this moment, she knows that she may have a touch of it, a little bit, and it is interested in the man in front of her. . This was not a good thing, Jiang-Li was at a loss. The originator seemed to be unaware, stood straight, and walked forward. Sunlight spilled on his tall back, staining others with gold.
What?! So main leads in this drama also will have limited interactions & skinships onscreen like Wang Xing Yue…
The story ends at 245 ... chapter 200, they finally almost holding hands (he held her sleeves) and he finally said she looks beautiful and she blushes.
After this, she gives a cold treatment because she's afraid that he doesn't return her feeling ... WTH? :-)

I am skipping to around 200 ... and finally some romance! The kissing scene is with ex-husband. I will let you know if there is one between the MLs after 200 ...

However, it seems like the FL is by herself solving problems most of the time. I hope the drama will not be like this! They didn't even talk until chapter 84 ...
In the book, haven't seen Ye Shi Jie that much either.
I gave this drama an 8 because I feel the ending is rushed. There are 2 ways to deal with this: either show more interaction between the dream and real life (ie. he talks to her IRL) ... show those interactions or develop the ending more. The ending is rushed so we are left with a few cartoonish abrupt transitions. I think they should show how the ML talks to her during her dream and how she reacts (this is only done at the end).
Show what he says that makes her fall in love him in the dream. The way it's filmed, it's not smooth, more like a cartoon.
I think the rewatch value would have been higher if they show more interactions between the FL and ML ... develop their story instead of showing everything about her thinking. You don't feel that it's realistic.

I only like him in Yanxi Palace ... It could be in that role, he's acting like himself.
