WOW I'm shocked that "Because This is My First Life" didn't get recognized. In the future, this drama is one that an authentic and discerning reviewer will make a category entitled "How is it possible this GEM went unnoticed!!

I so agree with best OST "Stay With Me" by CHANYEOL & PUNCH---Gosh let me catch my breath, that song will be timeless.

I don't think Goblin deserves so many awards. I really feels it's overrated and overhyped. I've heard so much…
**taedojoon** definitely watch "Because This is My First Life " . It was a rare in depth experience into a naive couple that in some points whispered similarities in my own life and threads an emotional understanding that; true love can result in spite of an initially awkward premise. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with this uniquely unfolding story. Absolutely loved the couple,, they touched me deeper than the couple in goblin.. It wasn't the actors bec Goblin's main actors were excellent. I thing the difference was the characterization development of the 2 leads in "Because This is My First Life " they were called upon to express more complex personalities and their interactions w/one another were intricate which for me gave more heft and weight to the couple's appeal over Goblin's main lead.

I'm just teasing out the effects the 2 main couples had on me, not comparing overall quality of the 2 dramas, bec both were excellent and quite different. from each other.

Title Save Me
the 1st two epi had my stomach twisted inside-out, it took me awhile to quell my anger and repulsed and disgust over the resulting damage that absolute bullying can have on a person's psyche. These 2 epi hurt hard and burned deep. ONC doesn't shy away from tough subjects, always seems to pull off whatever production they undertake with meaning and precision. Ok Taec Yeon and Seo Ye Ji and Woo Do Hwan and the rest of the cast are on point and keeping up the vibe of this drama. This production is developed so well that despite its darkness it has my interest all the way to its' end point.

Title One Way Trip
The 3 main actors really captured the emotional angst of this movie. Kim Ji Soo and Ryu Joon Yul are 2 actors that one can easily ride their emotional sails in whatever direction they carry you. In reflecting, after watching this movie, I'm left conflicted and uncomfortable that I might have followed the direction the 3 remaining friends went, which colors me in a conscious-tormenting shadows-of-darkness. When authorities, rather than keeping an unbiased and open mind, have a predicated agenda to cover up the truth, despite it railroading 4 innocent children to jail, what in HELL can you do???? A horrible moral dilemma that the 3 boys should have never had to be tested against, poisonous to human serenity.

My chi was scorched then, when it first watched this movie, and still to this day I'm not able to extinguish the fire of anger in me. The director did a superlative job in pacing and mood lighting. Each scene was framed so complete. like a compelling documentary, sensitive and brave. Gong Yoo's finest work was keeping his personal composure, staying in character to reveal the soul-wrenching true story of human depravity. You will be feverously moved, your tears will blister your heart, for the innocence... violated.

Title New Trial
Frick-an-Frack this movie had my pulse and chi unsettled long after it ended. I've watch many a kdrama involving corrupt detectives and thought ok this is for drama sake. This true story really put a startling light on the corruption that lawless-cops can perpetrate on an innocent person. Here in the state cover up occurs too, but I feel the "human rights" voice is stronger and more easily listen to than it seem to be in Korea. It took a courageous and fiercely tenacious lawyer to listen to the voice of a beaten down forlorn whisper, yelling help for 16 years.
Park Joon Yeong the real attorney is a true hero and should be a national-judiciary creed for all of korea's justice system, all countries for that matter.
KANG HA NEUL and Jung Woo gave us a splendid performance, illuminating thespianship, their telling gave homage to the pain, frustration and perseverance that was the real life of Jo Hyeon-Woo. I would bet my eye teeth that he didn't receive adequate compensatory justice.

The caliber of this drama is totally yet to be appreciated by the masses. This has more depth then your usual school based dramas. In cleverly dodging the usual 2nd guesses the writer has garnered my admiration for this unique mystery. Jang Dong Yoon and his character-Ji Hoon has got it all going on, all together he's my fav character, what a searing performance in epi 8. Definitely want to see him in more dramas.

I feel consumed, I'm done, dust, gone, as quick as silver, your immersed into the "Goblin" waters, even the introduction with its soft haunting mystic imagery draws you in like that of a Dutch impressionist painting (I watched the intro more then once). When music mirrors the emotional tension, it feels like a thousand acupuncture points hitting all at once - a buddhist's' nirvana. Love all the 4 actors equally. Each of their performances will be iconically endeared to this drama forever. If they developed Kim Go Eun's character just alittle deeper that would be outstanding, as she's certainly capable. Very imaginative writing, moving along at just the right tempo, eloquently scripted and sincerely all consuming. What a great come back performance from Gong Yoo.

I saw this while it originally aired and was quite surprised with its lingering and endearing quality. I was so taken by it, it drew me in harder and faster then most dramas do. I really enjoying this series, it is sweet with no distasteful sub plots but yet with some mystery. I love Hong-Doe,so different but with a heart that pumps deep compassion and Yi-Seok is like a Jack Russell Terrier, and with more sincerity then 1st impressions would imply and absolutely loveable. It seems each of them will take part in the triple crown of attachment: friend and counselor and lover- all for a healing heart- LOVE it.

This drama has been doubly surprising for it content and it compelling power of persuasion. I'm at a point even though it goes against my moral values, I can now accept these two particular people in this particular situation their opportunity to peruse what might develop. This is slowly and tenderly filling my heart with rose infused oils that's relaxing my initial resistance to this affair. This has opened my eyes that some times affairs occur not just out of pure selfish desires, or inability to commit to one sexual partner but in fact, if there is a preponderance of issues, pressure builds and crackles will show……life, love, right or wrong are not defined in one simple sentence.

The 2nd episode clinched this drama for me and my fever for this drama/comedy with its hilarious and delightfulness has been non stop. All the epi are way funny but with such heartfelt emotional tugging. Seo In-Guk's acting really shines, this is why I said earlier that he would dive 100 meter to reach the pain, joy, and charm, for his audience....and beyond all expectations he serves his craft with distinction. The lead actress matches his personality and skill sets and it's a joy to watch them dancing through this drama in the pocket of warm and cozy. Yoon Sang hyun has been equally charming, he always add extra value to whatever drama he's in.

Love the subtle antics that characterize the love triangle, it's analogous to a coin toss. Bok-Geo on one side and Suk-Woo the other side and even though you know it's going to land face up with CEO Bok-Geo, watching the coin flip through the air both sides of the coin sparkles and shines as they vie for her heart…. a sparkling champagne challenge that's a joyous angst to watch. I absolutely love how Lee Joon and how he has enveloped the character of lawyer Suk-Woo, he is an emerging great. The writing in this drama is exceptional.

This drama has been so remarkable in so many categories but specially the content and timing of their flash backs. I haven't seen such thoughtful and effective use of flashbacks in a very long time except in "It's Ok, That's Love". When Soon-Duk's & Wang Eun flashback when (they were very young), she was there for him, and he for her, it indoctrinated the current crisis with soooo much pain. The flash backs add fresh insight and impacts the current mood with the emotional weight of 2 ton elephant on your chest.i

I am so grateful that the world is finally appreciating this intricate, full on, fully developed drama production with its fully committed character ensemble. The writer is finally showing us the depth and color of Baekhyun. Baekhyun has convincingly show me his youthful-petulance, budding-honor and fresh-to-life and love persona…. I absolutely love his character. IU has been critiqued too harshly. The full breath of her capabilities have yet to be seen. As the epi continues and the ensuing events become ever more conflicting we will see that her sincerity will make a lasting contribution in this drama. Can't say enough of Lee Joon ki's acting, absolutely flawless. The mostly non-scripted scene with him in the court yard with IU in the rain (framing the 8th prince turning his back) was a cardiac arresting-breath vanquishing gold standard. When lighting, costume, actors, setting, and music collaborate with the right director it is nothing short of magical mastery.

Totally agree with your rating. This is definitely in my top 5. I liked that it left itself to a second season, but I try not to think of that becz I'd loose weight anxiously waiting. Jung Kyoung-Ho was brilliant and divinely regal through his conflicts and in his zen like poise.

Gosh, I know what you mean, my heart was honoring the 4th prince's courage and seething at the instigating 3d prince. Boy, If looks could reach into drama land the 3rd prince would have been incinerated. lol.
