i love the way episode 10 sets it up, too. you can see it coming the way he behaves at the bbq restaurant and every scene he was in following that - his bad mood and agitation was so clear and i loved it lfksjdf

thats why episode 9 is the answer to that theory :) since she can do that, the theory is definitely false

this drama got me soo bad

i think at this point, everyone is confused in regards to the airing schedule... it was supposed to be one episode a day but they dropped three episodes yesterday, two today and supposedly are dropping another two tomorrow....

adding this bc the other comment did not mention it: the acting feels super natural! the chemistry between fl and ml is fantastic

i got that too in the sense of what it wanted to portray but in terms of execution it was still very odd. what happens was (1) a scene maidong seeing something was wrong, (2) stopping and grabbing zhuang jies back (3) super short jump cut to them running (4) misplaced cut of the dogs which is resued material (5) cut to the "after" when mai dong is bringing her home and they discuss what happened. the time of that scene does not even align with the dog cut so its not even that that cut can be understood as a means to portray passage of time.

the scene is just not very cohesive in technical terms (especially the random appearance of the dogs) and that was what i was pointing out bc it felt very out of tune with the rest of the drama. thats why i was wondering whether that was a mistake in editing

i'm at episode 5 and bai shu makes me so insanely mad with his overbearing attitude and disregard of his patients thoughts and feeligns - does he get better at all?

yeah, it was the same footage they showed when introducing grandma's friend (the vet). that must've been a mistake on the editing side, right? no way that was intended

man, there was this really weird cut in episode 4 while chen maidong gave zhuang jie a ride. what happened after their conversation when they were stopping is sooo unclear

it loops bc the next thing that happens after ck loses his memory, is him and xy getting tied by the red string again - which starts the loop anew, they're always looping between the red string being pulled into existence by ck and ch, and ck and xy being tied by it once again

but I am pretty sure that the qilin guided her to be reincarnated

Ding yuxi's eyebrow raise as chu Kong legit has me down the way Wang Hedi's head tilt as dongfang qingcang had istg

joanna is pregnant with mark's child - the three of them end up having family

it's even more disappointing considering that due to the way the drama description describes the characters, i expected her to be faar more of a central character than the actual drama suggests rn

i think her being a bad friend and thinking herself as being better / always "right" in a moral sense is the worst aspect of her - together with her not acknowledging her privileg she is just unbearable

she has soooo much more screen time than du di and okay, it's nice that you can see her grow. but du di was always supposed to be the one medically superior and you barely see it portrayed in the series. at this point, judging by the amount of screentime, congrui is the main - main character and it sucks bc she is unbearable. in ep 27, du di had LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES of screen time independent of congrui - even in the episode that supposedly focuessed on her, it was never more than 20 minutes with her being the main focus. i have no idea what the writers were thinking

du di is such a fascinating character and so misunderstood, this drama had the potential to be good if they focussed more on her: so disappointing

i've been soooo incredibly annoyed with congrui ever since she divorced her husband istg
