Ms. Incognito or should I say, Ms. Inconsistent?

A badly written interactive fiction game, that’s what this drama felt like. The production team gathered an amazing cast, built such promising characters… and then decided to throw it all away after just two episodes. YES, two episodes!

It’s honestly ridiculous how lazy the writing got. The story started so strong, and then nosedived into chaos with zero logic. Yet, because those first two episodes hook you in, you somehow keep watching, like, “Okay, maybe they’ll fix it?” Spoiler: they don’t.

My biggest disappointment was the female lead. She started out with personality, confidence, and potential, but somewhere along the way, she just turned into a punching bag for the antagonist. While the antagonist had all the power, our supposedly rich AF FL didn’t have a single bodyguard or a competent team around her. Just the poor lawyer who’s apparently a one man army, multitasking through every crisis.

Also the title Ms. Incognito? Be so for real. She wasn’t incognito for even five minutes. This woman’s enemies found her faster than I find spoilers on Twitter.

I can’t emphasize enough how much potential this drama had. The characters were unique, layered, and played by such talented actors. And they just… wasted it. Ughhh.

Like I said, it’s basically a badly written interactive fiction game that you can’t stop playing, not because it’s good, but because you need to see how the trainwreck ends.

This pairing alone had me SOLD

I knew I was going to watch this the second I saw the pairing. Choi Wooshik and Jung Somin? Honestly, you can’t go wrong with them, and putting the two together is just an absolute SERVE. It’s been a while since I’ve watched a proper romcom, and this one didn’t disappoint for even a second.

It has the usual kdrama tropes, but instead of feeling repetitive, it’s genuinely fun. You’ll catch yourself laughing, giggling, and smiling through the whole thing.

If you’ve been waiting for that one pure romcom this year, this is IT.

I don’t usually write reviews for dramas I haven’t finished yet, but this one tempted me to break the rule. So far it has been such a refreshing dose of warmth and wit that reminds me why I fell in love with kdramas in the first place.

I wanted this to be so much more

This drama was one of my most anticipated dramas of 2026, and honestly… It disappointed me.

Let me start with the positives, because there are quite a few. I loved seeing KSH back in a romance drama, and the pairing of KSH and GYJ was probably the biggest reason I managed to finish the show after it started dipping. Visually, this drama was stunning. The cinematography was beautiful, the locations were breathtaking, and every frame felt so thoughtfully composed. Each shot was genuinely pleasing to watch and constantly made me look forward to the next scene.

The drama also started off really strong with a unique and refreshing storyline. You could clearly see how much effort the actors put into this project, and that sincerity translated on screen. If you’re a regular Kdrama watcher, the first half genuinely felt like a breath of fresh air.

BUT --- and this is a big but, the drama started going downhill around episode 7.

At that point, I honestly found myself wondering if I was even watching the same drama anymore. I was excited to see how the relationship between the leads would unfold, but instead, the show suddenly shifted its entire genre out of nowhere. What made this more frustrating was that the characters themselves were written with so much depth and care. Their backstories were detailed, layered, and clearly built with intention --- which made the tonal shift even harder to accept.

I’m not against the exploration of Cha Mu Hee’s childhood trauma. In fact, it was necessary for her character growth and for her to finally believe in the love she deserved. My issue was how this was handled. Unwrapping her trauma led to a complete change in the genre of the drama, which felt shocking and jarring as a viewer. On top of that, the storyline was dragged out for nearly FOUR episodes, which significantly disrupted the pacing and consistency of the plot.

Some of the logic behind Do Ra Mi’s actions also didn’t make much sense to me. I understand that her role was important in helping Ho Jin and Mu Hee interpret their feelings for each other, but did it really need to be stretched across FOUR episodes? I actually liked her character more when she appeared subtly through hallucinations earlier on, keeping it restrained might have helped maintain the drama’s original tone.

To be clear, I don’t have anything else against this drama. I appreciated the creative enthusiasm behind it and the risks the team tried to take. What frustrated me was sitting through the final episodes, internally screaming and repeatedly asking myself “WTF is happening?” for an entire hour. It felt a little deceptive, especially since the creators gave no indication that the story would head in this direction. At that point, I found myself watching purely for the sake of my favorite actors.

That said, I really loved the ending once the leads finally came together. I appreciated how they kept communication open and avoided unnecessary misunderstandings, especially after all the push and pull drama we’d already endured. Still, the overall issue remained: the plot and characters felt disconnected from the first half of the drama towards the end, which made binge-watching the final stretch quite difficult.

As a K-pop fan, this felt like a hug!

I think they really managed to make this drama feel like a proper comfort watch, nothing overwhelming, nothing awkward, and thankfully no cringe around the fan-idol dynamic, which I was honestly worried about going in. It was genuinely nice to sit back and just enjoy it.

It was really good to see Kim Jae Yeong finally getting the recognition he deserves. Both Choi Soo Young and Kim Jae Yeong handled their characters beautifully. You could clearly see the depth they brought in, and honestly, no doubts there, they’re both solid actors. Soo Young as Maeng Se Na was especially inspiring. Her passion, her dedication towards her work and life in general felt really motivating to watch.

One thing I truly loved was how the drama showed the positive impact of K-pop. The way music and idol groups can push you forward, how your biases can keep you motivated on days when you feel low, that part felt really personal and beautiful. We’ve seen quite a few dramas based on idols before, but this felt fresh. It focused more on how music and fandom can quietly support people rather than turning it into something unrealistic or dramatic.

Yes, there were a few plot holes towards the end, but honestly, they were easy to overlook because overall the drama remained a warm and enjoyable watch. The pacing was alright, the OSTs were amazing, and everything flowed nicely.

As for the romance between the main leads - it was cute, funny, and never over the top. The chemistry was definitely there, and the actors did a great job making it feel natural. Safe to say, it gave me butterflies!

The supporting characters were also really well written. I especially liked the prosecutor’s character arc, his development felt meaningful and helped the story move forward. In fact, every character had some form of growth, which made the drama feel nicely wrapped up by the end.

As a K-pop fan myself, I can confidently say this drama feels like a hug. It wasn’t perfect in every aspect, but I genuinely loved it from beginning to end.

Ragebait or Masterpiece?

How do you even put it into words when you love and hate something at the same time? That’s exactly what this drama was for me. A 15 hours of pure ragebait that I couldn’t stop binge watching.

I loved the overall aesthetic of the show. The plot was well written, and I liked how it took us through every stage of the main leads’ lives while also touching on the stories of the supporting characters.

Now let’s talk about the second female lead (SFL). Whew. She drove me crazy. The way she treated the first female lead (FFL) was infuriating, and what made it worse was how the FFL just let it slide for so long. But then the second half hit, and the FFL finally clapped back. That shift was so satisfying.

The thing is, nobody in this drama is perfect. Everyone’s flawed, sometimes to the point where you want to throw your laptop, but honestly, that’s what gave it depth. The romance, too, was compelling. It carried that nostalgic spark of first love, and Kim Go Eun and Kim Gun Woo delivered outstanding performances. Still, like many first loves, theirs was imperfect and painful.

Now… I still don’t know how the FFL managed to forgive the SFL. Like, yes, she was sick, but after everything? Personally, I could never. That girl needed therapy, not endless passes to dump her issues on everyone else. But the show made a point both the FFL and SFL only got to where they were in life because of how much they pushed (and sometimes broke) each other. Messy, complicated, necessary. A frenemy arc that could only end the way it did.

By the end, I realized this drama mirrors the FFL and SFL’s relationship itself. Just like they couldn’t decide if they loved or hated each other, we might feel the same about the show. And honestly? That’s what makes it stick with you.

Would I recommend it? Yes… but also be ready to scream at your screen.

Dynamite Kiss, you had me!

It’s honestly insane how we got back to back good dramas this year, and Dynamite Kiss was one of those dramas that pulled me in almost immediately. WHEN I SAY THE CHEMISTRY AND ROMANCE BETWEEN THE LEADS WAS INSANE, trust me, it really was. I was just two episodes in and already hooked, and from there the drama kept building its momentum in the best way possible.

For a major part of its run, this genuinely felt like THE romcom of the year. It had everything - angst, comedy, romance, all hitting at their peak. It truly lived up to its name, “Dynamite Kiss.” The chemistry was explosive, addictive, and so well done that every romantic scene felt worth rewatching. This was the kind of drama where you don't want to overthink anything, you just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin absolutely carried the show. Ki Yong was born to play a yearning role! He didn’t hold back even for a second, and every ounce of angst was delivered perfectly. And Ahn Eun Jin, as always, added so much depth, warmth, and sincerity to her character. Together, their chemistry was undeniable. This is the kind of drama that makes you rewatch scenes, then episodes, and then behind the scenes.

However, the drama isn't without its flaws. Towards the end, the writing started slipping. The final episodes, especially the last one, felt messy and overstuffed, almost like the writer decided to collect every possible drama trope and dump them all together. What disappointed me the most was how badly the second leads were wasted. The second female lead, in particular, had so much potential, but her character was reduced to being a simp till the very end. Even the second male lead stayed exactly the same throughout. Both of them had room to grow, to break out of that repetitive loop and become something more, but that growth never came.

And yet… was this still one of my favorite dramas of the year? Yes. Absolutely.

I know a lot of people were understandably disappointed by the last few episodes, and that criticism is completely valid. But for me, the chemistry between the main leads was so strong that it made up for a lot of the questionable plot choices towards the end. I will genuinely protect the main leads and the actors with my whole heart. They were adorable, they carried the emotional weight of the drama, and despite its flaws, I genuinely enjoyed watching the drama from start to finish.

It wasn’t perfect, but it was addictive, emotional, and memorable.

A GODDAMN MASTERPIECE!!!

After much contemplation on whether to watch The Good Bad Mother or not, I gave in, and boy I was not disappointed even for the tiniest bit! An absolute gem of a drama! The plot was very promising from the start and the actor's phenomenal acting added more edge to the drama. From the beginning till the end, the plot was so well-written and connected, I just loved it...been a long time since I watched such a beautiful satisfying drama. I don't really have anything to complain about this show, the actors really didn't disappoint with their performances to not let us feel a whole rollercoaster ride of emotions. One minute you would be laughing with your whole heart out and the next minute you would be crying a bucket...you never know which emotion might hit you next...such a good feeling drama :') The main leads definitely outdid themselves but I loved Sam Sik and the twins (Seo Jin and Yeo Jin) characters the most. I think without them it wouldn't have been that awesome, they really are the true stars of the show!

Some may have felt the last two episodes were a bit fast-paced, as we all wanted to have 16 episodes but I guess 14 was a good number too. As the drama was more about the relationship between the mother and his son, I really like how they focused more on showing us the depth of their relationship so that you could sympathize with both characters and understand where they were coming from. Glad unlike other dramas they didn't drag the court scenes for the whole 2-3 last episodes and just got done with it as Kang Ho already had spent half of his years being a prosecutor finding out the evidence...it would have been truly a drag if they focused more on that as the evidence were already right on the table and simply trailing the same plot would have been a waste of such a potential drama.

The drama definitely stuck to its genre for the whole 14 episodes and I believe I'll be remembering the characters and the show for a long long time! Absolutely well done by the whole cast <3

Oh also, the setting and the whole aesthetic of the drama were so wholesome and cute!! such a cute drama <333

After building up the drama about DoJun for 15 episodes and suddenly killing him off towards the end was a bit lousy writing. All this time I was expecting to finally see Dojun buy Soonyang and sit on the throne that he has been fighting for his whole life. Suddenly shifting the plot towards Hyun Woo for one last episode when the entire audience was invested in the story about DoJun was pointless to me. But as Hyun Woo mentioned towards the end the story wasn't about possession or time traveling rather it was about his repentance towards DoJun and himself. So I guess this whole time the plot was from Hyun Woo's perspective, which kind of makes me not dislike the entire drama just for one episode which didn't go as I expected. I mean we all kind of knew DoJun was dead but we still kinda hoped for some sort of miracle lol. Overall, I think it was a great watch, the twists after twists and all the mind games played by the protagonist, and not to forget the outstanding acting and the beautiful relationship between the grandfather and his grandson, so damn wholesome! If I would ever give this drama a rewatch it would only be because of the grandfather and grandson duo. In the end, it wasn't about revenge but rather justice for DoJun and his loved ones. Everyone in Jin's family kind of got the taste of their own medicine which was very satisfactory to watch. But what was the need for identical characters and how come nobody ever noticed how similar they both looked? :/

A gripping sageuk - 10/10 must watch!

Just finished the drama and honestly, Mu Jin didn't deserve such a respectable death. He lost my respect the moment the words "I don't need your consent" escaped his mouth and he stabbed In Hoe!

Other than that, excellent drama! You cannot go wrong with Lee Jae Wook and a sageuk. The actors played a commendable role in portraying their characters. It felt like you were supposed to feel certain emotions towards specific characters just the way the writer intended you to feel.

The story started on an exciting note, although the first few episodes were pretty slow in building up the plot. But right after episode 2 or 3, I remember just binge-watching the whole drama!

DEFINITELY A 10/10 DRAMA FOR ME!

Although I would've loved if the story delved more into the artists’ part and the significance of their paintings, or more about the Snow Man (whatever creature he was). Other than that, I really loved seeing the most hated characters getting the rightful deaths lol.

LEE JAE WOOK'S FIGHTING SCENES, CINEMATOGRAPHY, AND OST ARE WHAT HAD ME HOOKED TO MY SCREEN! <3

This is THE medical K-Drama we needed

An absolute gem of a drama. I can’t emphasise enough how good the whole show is. Not a single boring scene that would make you want to hit the forward button.

I loved how they wrapped everything up towards the end, tying all the backstories together and bringing the drama full circle. The moment Dr. Baek finally acknowledged Dr. Yang brought tears to my eyes!

I’ve watched my fair share of medical K-dramas, but this one just topped the list. We’ve had plenty of medical dramas packed with romance, but for once it was nice to see the doctors in action, saving lives, making tough calls, and showing us the raw side of the profession.

The acting was absolutely splendid across the entire cast. Every character felt alive, every scene carried weight. Honestly, I could go on and on about why you have to watch this drama… but I’ll just stop here and say: trust me, it’s worth it.

Definitely worth a watch, don't understand the bad reviews though?

I started watching this drama on a whim but as the story progressed it was already my favorite drama to wait for on the weekends. I really liked the characters and how the drama had the right amount of comedy, romance, and drama in it. I think the actors did a splendid job portraying their characters making us mad and cry at the same time. Coming to the part viewers were complaining about, I don't think it was ever about Dr. Cha ending up with who at all. It was her story to find out about her own self, learn about her own potential, and most importantly give herself the love she deserved. Since her young age when it was time for her to explore and learn about things on her own, she was already busy taking care of her family while her priority should've been her own self. Dr Roy's character was just like a guide for her to find herself once again amidst all the chaos she had been through, sure Dr. Roy was the greenest walking flag and she obviously deserved someone like him after all she went through but considering she never had been on her own, it was her choice to walk alone on this journey.

I think the writers did a good job with the endings of In Ho and Seung Hee too, they were definitely too toxic for each other, I'm glad the writers didn't make them end up together and rather gave them proper redemption arcs. I think the main three characters of this drama all needed to be on their own to understand themselves better, poor children had been through a lot since their college days just because of In Ho's indecisiveness since the beginning.

I am glad they didn't force the relationship arc of the main leads to end them up with their significant others, it was definitely not some teen love drama where you need to find a significant other to be called a happy ending drama. In terms of romance, I think we got plenty of cute and relatable moments from Jeong Min and So Ra's characters. I think it was a good watch for sure, would've loved to see Dr Cha and Dr Roy ending up together but it wasn't just the case where she needs to have someone by her side to feel like she is loved, there were enough people around Jung Sook to love and cheer for her at the end.
